You and I are obviously in love with this film. It is even more poignant to me since I actually knew the late Gene Shepard personally, as you might remember my telling in a former CM thread, "Character Actors, B-Films and Times".
I really love your column and have been posting to to friends who i fel will also delight in it.
Holy Smokes!!! Aleen knew Jean!!! i remember listening to him on WOR[i think]... Truly, a story teller; a real racconteur, kinda, sorta like moi![well, the BS part, anyway!] LOL... BTW i posted INCORRECTLY, that Mr. Sheppard was an Ohio guy.... No, he was born in Hammond,Indiana... i can still hear him talkin' bout the steel mill he worked in!
