I doubt if there is anyone reading this who has not heard of
Alfred Hitchcock. Later this month on April 29, 2013 it
will be thirty-three years since the master of movie and television suspense
died at age 80.
Hitchcock was born in London, England in 1899 and by 1920
had developed an interest in the film business through his skill as an
accomplished artist. During the 1920s he
met his future wife and collaborator Alma Reville. They were married in 1927 and became the
parents of daughter Pat who was born in July of 1928.
The year 1927 was a big one for Hitchcock as he not only got
married but he directed his first film, The
Lodger.
In the UK throughout the 1930’s until 1939, Hitch churned
out many films with the best ones, in my opinion, being the original The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934) with
Peter Lorre, The 39 Steps (1935), and a personal favorite, The Lady Vanishes (1938).
After Jamaica Inn in 1939, he
moved to America where he would gain his biggest fame.
His first film after arriving in the U. S. was Rebecca which won the Oscar for best
picture of 1940. He went on to do such
favorites over the years as Strangers on
a Train (1951), Rear Window,
(1954), Vertigo (1958), Psycho (1960), and The Birds (1963). His 67
directorial credits also include his half hour TV show which ran from
1955-1961, Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
That Sunday night show produced many
memorable programs. He also did The Alfred Hitchcock Hour in 1962.
The above gives you a quick resume of Alfred Hitchcock’s
life and major accomplishments in the UK and America but what kind of a guy was
he and why were most of his works successful?
As a follower of vintage film productions, I was rarely bored
with a Hitchcock film. That’s not to say
I liked them all. I never could get into
Torn Curtain (1966) even though I was
drawn to see it because of the Hitchcock touch and that it starred Paul Newman
and Julie Andrews. Another clunker to me
was probably one of his most successful films, The Birds (1963).
The fun things about Hitchcock’s films were his ability to
create suspense and a feeling of anxiety that kept the viewers on the edge of
their seats through various twists and turns.
He liked icy female characters, preferably blondes, to inhabit his films
(Eva Marie Saint, Kim Novak, Tippi Hedren, Priscilla Lane, Janet Leigh,
etc.). He also liked the excitement of
someone being on the run like Cary Grant in North
by Northwest (1959), Robert Cummings in Saboteur
(1942), or Robert Donat in The 39
Steps (1935), etc.
He also always had a plot device that made the whole thing
work referred to as the “Macguffin.”
Combined with the music scores of Bernard Herrmann for many of the
films, it made for an enjoyable couple hours.
Hitchcock also liked to tease his audiences with his cameo appearances. Here is all of them. Some I remember, some I don't. I think the best is the one with his picture in the newspaper in Lifeboat (1944) advertising a weight reduction product. Watch carefully for it.
I wish we had more Alfred Hitchcocks in Hollywood today.

My fav Hitchcock films were Psycho and the Birds.
And yes, I do remember watching his TV show as a kid, he was able to create enormous suspense and drama w/o having a bunch of Freddy Krueger, chain sawing blood and guts, or cars crashing and exploding, or buildings being blown up, etc....like they seem to need these days
Alfred was a pretty shrewd observer of human nature, like a lot of greats including Shakespeare or Orson Wells.
He knew the value of suspense and played the audience like a Strad.
Rod Sterling was another of the same mindset, he knew that humans have a natural emotional rhythm.
Alfred was a master.
But you have to realize that he was also lucky enough to live in the golden age of serious film making, I doubt he could work in the current Hollywood environment.
..or maybe I'm just too cynical.
Jim,
Very nice article. Appreciate the attribution.
Regards
Al
" thank you very much for asking"
OK, whomever "asked" needs to star as the victim in the next Hitchcock film.
For some reason I always liked ‘the Birds’ even though a wooden Indian (did I cruise past the PC barrier?) had more acting skills than Tippi Hedren. Rod Taylor was a hunk. Psycho, of course, is a classic. I heard that Janet Leigh never took a shower after making that movie. Personally, I think that’s plain silly. Anthony Perkins personal torments came out and added to his portrayal of Norman.
I watched the AH hour on TV all the time. One episode that stands out was called “The Jar,” and starred Pat Buttram (Mr. Haney) and Collin Wilcox as his young cheating wife, Thedy Sue Hill. Her name played a prominent part in the denouement. The other episode dealt with a convict who enticed the prison funeral director to help him escape. Didn’t quite work out as he had planned …
Those were the TV series and movies and days when character played an integral part in the story and not CGI and guns and screaming action. Classics. I’m glad at least they have been transferred to DVD so we oldies but goodies can still see the quality with which we grew up.
Guys, Hope this isn't too far off topic, does sorta tie to entertainment?
As stated last blog, I was in Florida. While there we went to see The Blue Man Group, an act I never thought I would want to see. Turns out, I was wrong, they were fantastic, and all are very accomplished percussionists....
For anyone who wondered this act could survive for decades w/o ever speaking a single word...Here's 3 guys bringing the house down banging on a couple pieces of poop-pipe:

Proud,
Very good. It was an ad for Reduco which sounds like something that would have been promoted in the early 1940s.
Now, can you tell me the name of the actor holding the newspaper? He was well known on TV in the early 50s.
Middy,
True, I don't think Hitch would be that popular today if the garbage previews of new movies are any indication of what is showing now.
It seems that if "Fu-k" is said repeatedly, there is a screwing scene along with a scene with cars crashing and burning, you have the formula for today. Now, the audience is as stupid as the film so it's a perfect fit.
Can you imagine Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman doing a scene from "Notorious" today? The audience would walk out yawning. They just wouldn't get it.
Rick,
Hitchcock was one of the best. Luckily, we still have TCM so we can see his work.
Glo,
I never could get into The Birds.
You're right, Tippi was no great actress and seeing her take that motor boat over to Rod's house was comical with her in her little suit.
I like the scene at the schoolhouse between her and Suzanne Pleschette where they light up their cigs at the front door of the school.
Unless I missed some subconscious connection to a mystery, the story just seemed a bit week.
I've heard that about Janet too and you're right; it seems very silly. "Psycho" had a great cast which really helped it. I love the cene in the office where Frank Albertson is hitting on Janet and Pat Hitchcock says, "I guess he saw my wedding ring." Keep dreaming, Pat!
She was really good in "Strangers on a Train" from 1951. "Psycho" was her final film.
Collin Wilcox (Horne, later) was good in those roles. I remember her well in "To Kill a Mockingbird." Same type role.
Here's a trivia: Who starred in the first episode of "AH Presents"?
Hint if you need it: He was in Hitchcock films in the 40s.
Proud,
You're right. I've seen those guys. They are good!
The only Hitchkock movie I ever watched was the Birds. I tried watching some of his other movies but never could get into that suspense thing. I guess that's why I never watched the Twilight Zone shows.
Well I suppose this is to be expected when the topic is on a foreigner, someone who died 33 years ago at 80, and most people in modern America have no idea who you are talking about in the first place.
It's a hotdog, beer and NASCAR crowd Jim- and that particular crowd isn't all that curious.
I doubt anyone here but you and Glo watch TMC and know that "a Streetcar named Desire" was not actually about homeless gay sex in the back of the Phoenix light rail-
..that's the HBO remake.
Rush once quipped "the average person's sense of history begins when they are born"
..that explains the fascination with Che Guevara, Karl Marx and Jimmy Carter to the school age voters I guess.
A classical liberal education like we were exposed to used to represent opening the mind to a wide range of enlightenment, now the meaning has regressed to "study for the test" and forced indoctrination.
..maybe Rick can wade in with his pithy, homespun vantage and soothe my frustration this morning in his own peculiar manner.
.."We hang the petty thieves and
appoint the great ones to public
office.".. Aesop
Mike,
You need to watch "A Stop at Willoughby" from 1960 originally shown on "Twilight Zone."
Not complicated suspense; just a guy under stress trying to get away from it all. Very inspiring and a place many of us dream about on occasion.
25 minutes long:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0734550/
Middy,
I remember an occasion when I was talking to a 21 year old secretary at one of my accounts in the 1980s and I asked her what she thought of some incident in the 1950s and her response was "How should I know?; I'm only 21!"
Being a History major it shocked me because she assumed there was no point in knowing anything about a period of time that did not include her lifespan.
That's the youth we have today; nothing has changed. They never heard of the Depression, WWII, Korea, Eisenhower, or anything else of historical significance. Their only concern is having beer money for the weekend and the latest news about Jay Z and Beyonce.
I think that mentality is what led us to this presidency we now have to endure.
I love your line:
I doubt anyone here but you and Glo watch TMC and know that "a Streetcar named Desire" was not actually about homeless gay sex in the back of the Phoenix light rail-
..that's the HBO remake.
Very appropriate!
Al had what most people don't, a macro view of humanity and an astute sense of how to manipulate it for effect.
Like all professionals he made it look easy, amateurs never make it look easy.. you can tell the difference..

..these are the true enemies of a Representative Republic, they are all traitors in my opinion and should be treated as the traitors they are.
Still impressed with RINO Flake all you Republican tools?
.. I purposely left that one blank last November because as I was saying...there is no difference between a Democrat traitor and a Republican traitor.
Middy,
Hitchcock was always cool as a cucumber. I still occasionally watch his hour show from 1962 on Encore Suspense.
His being laid back was probably how he lived to nbe 80 while being ft all his life.
"Gooood Evennnnning"
Good Eveeeeening!- man I had forgotten all about his signature greeting.. going to spark another W-M for me Jim.. now for a little "Champagne Music"- ah one anna two anna...
I remember the Original Amateur Hour, but not much about Ted himself, Ed Sullivan had a distinct way of introducing guests and entering the stage.. he looked like a zombie.
Read page eight of the Amateur's budget proposal, it says 250K.. not just IRA's like the media is spouting off about, it means any and all other items of wealth, everything..
..house, car, savings account, and of course anticipated income.
It's a blueprint for instituting a property tax wholy leveraged on their ability to gain public support and I imagine it will become reality right after the next elections.
..If you think stealing from others wouldn't be a popular issue just ask Cj, Bodo, Pink mike or Riiiick if that kind of government action sounds fair and I can guarantee the answer.
..can't happen here?
That phenomenon we must fight is referred to as the "normality bias" aspect of human behavior.
..same thing people in Clownafornia suffer knowing full well the "Big One" is overdue.. It happened in Germany in the 30's and it's happening here right now.
But until it bites Homer and Marge hard and I mean seizure at the point of a barrel, blood in the streets and what's worse having their electricity shut off due to green religion caused rationing-
(what do you think the "smart meters" are really about?)
-they will continue to ignore it and submit to the normalcy bias they are accustomed to.
By then they will be mad enough to strike back but as unarmed debt slaves with no future they really can't challenge the King other than to submit.
Pax Obama.
Middy, I left the Republican Party years ago because of all the RINO's. They're no different than Democrats.
Lock and load because we're in for a bumpy ride.
Sadly that is an understatement...
Right now they are prepping the zone like an artillery barrage with issue after issue, they are conditioning us to threats and release, threat and release.. each time the resistance gets weaker..
.. need proof? look at the traitors we have for Senators selling us out imagining they can feed the alligator hoping only to be eaten last.
If you are a traitor to the Constitution then you are a traitor to the country as well.
..it's not rocket science.

How do you like this?- looks like the gun grabbers are using health records to confiscate firearms in NY..
this is all about how they are going to come after people like Rick and others who have a history of depression or anxiety and have been prescribed mood altering medication.
this is not a joke.
Haha.. sure Rick.. we believe you..
Here is a great article that shines a light on "the power of Obama"..
http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/04/little_anthony_freemonts_twilight_zone_is_our_reality.html
I loved Rod's thinking- he was like Alfie, simply light years ahead of the pack.
Middy,
I remember Welk supposedly fired his "champagne lady" Alice Lon because one night he thought her skirt was too short.
Ted Mack's Amateur Hour was originally on radio and was hosted by a guy named Major Bowes. Ah, the good old days of watching some guy crack his knuckles to "Home on the range" or someone play the spoons to "Shine on Harvest Moon"!
Sullivan was originally a newspaper columnist. He wasn't exactly a great personality. "Tonight we have for you a really big shew!"
The guy just couldn't say "show."
Anonymous Rick Kepple said...
Nah, I'm gonna vote for Obama!
The reason is very simple and I'll explain.
The Bible says, "For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.'"
Now Romney's way of helping the poor will be to kill them. It's not a bad plan if it's done quickly, but the rich like to kill people, so they'll starve them and that takes a long time.
Obama is a peacemaker. But you know how those guys are. Peacemakers get people killed. Efficiently.
What it comes down to, is who would the American people rather go to war against? Romney or Obama? Well, Obama of course.
That's why I'm going to vote for him. Both Romney and Obama will get people dead. Fact. It just hasn't happened yet.
I have no kids and no wife. It doesn't matter to me if people are all Muslims in the future. I won't be here. Not my problem.

sure Rick.. you voted for Romney..
anyone else here believe this Obama-esque lie of monumental proportions?
...not everyone at once now, one at a time..
How you can not ban Rick is one of life's great mysteries... he has pretty much destroyed the concept of dialogue and has no intent of ever stopping.
Cancer cannot be dealt with with a bandaid.
..but I'm done with his nonsense.
I just got a message on my Little Orphan Annie decoder ring, normally it's something about Ovaltine and drinking it.
.. it says N-I-C-E-W-O-R-K-A-S-S-H-O- "what the hey!! ...evidently someone has hacked into Annie's fan club's message center!.
Well I see Rick is back with his usual insane tripe. Ricky, let it go. We don't care about you or your pathetic life.
You should go over to Bodo"s blog. I'm sure you two have a lot in common.
Me thinks Mr. Midnight overstated ricks self worth?
Cancer?
I find him more of a wart? or maybe a pimple? just a minor annoyance, nothing of any real consequence.
Sure, from time to time he may inflame and fester, but he lacks the puss and significant to elevate himself to cancer.
Rick, SN called, she said she reads Jim's blog, saw your post and now feels sorry for not appreciating your numerous talents, your rugged good looks, boyish charm, and deliverance life experiences.
She is willing to forsake her riches and live with you in your double-wide hovel. She,(as well as the rest of FM) wants to record her(their) next album in your storage shed(er, um, I mean, "music studio").
All she asks in return is that you never post on Jim's blog, and stop using the internet completely.
I think you, in spite of obvious mental short comings, can see that this is your chance of a lifetime.
If I were you I would get rid of all computers and cancel your IP contract at dawns early light before your dream girl changes her mind.
The choice is yours, continue making a complete, insane, stalking, delusional, dirt poor, fool of yourself? Or, live the rest of your days, blissfully waking up laying between to Rhiannon and the clay jar?
This is a no brainer, (which in your case, seems rather fitting)
LOL! Sounds like good deal!
Bravo Pevie..
.. well played indeed!
Rick, let me know when you're planning a meeting with Holder, I would like to offer up additional information he may be interested in.
As luck would have it, in between turnin the Vega into a music studio, milkin the goats, and frog giggen with rock stars, I've also managed to cut / paste hundreds of examples of internet bullying by this bully who lives at 24**3 Rustler Ln.
Maybe you know him?
Yeah this guy has zero respect for the law, always seems to be making insulting, untrue remarks about posters sexual orientation, or falsely claiming to have had sex with a poster he doesn't like's spouses, in general, just losing his temper and shooting off his big mouth w/o bothering to think through, resulting in his constantly publicly slandering people's character w/o the slightest bit of proof to back up his charge.
I know, what with you bein so civic minded and all, that you'd want to make sure guys like this get reported to the proper authorities, so I'll join you in your latest tattle-tale venture.
If not the DOJ?, maybe local authorities in Richland would be better?
Thanks for your help, till now, I've been ignoring this bully, but, thanks to you, I now realize, the law is the law!
rick...do you ever read the crazy stuff you write? Doubtful, if you did then you have serious comprehension issues.
Here's a wee bit of clarification:
*The bully I refered to that has made public slanderous comments here isn't SN,it's actually RK
*I'm not stevie nicks, never claimed to be, hell I'm a guy
*I have no clout, never claimed to
*I'm not rich, never claimed to be
*Don't live in scottsdale
*Never published your address, but it is for sale,(you told us) and therefore a matter of public record
*Don't know a ron long
*Don't know a kevin lee either.
*Never heard of the starck club
*Don't know a thing about ms nicks finances, don't care to.
*Never said I hated ms nicks, never even said I disliked her.
See, most everything you posted is not real, it's stuff you imagined or made up. Where / how you came up with all the stuff is beyond me, the even bigger question is why? you do it?
I did get a real laugh out of one part,(well I find almost everything RK pretty darn funny), no one has done more in terms of "stepping up and doing the right thing", than this blog. For years almost everyone has told, even begged you to "get some help".
BTW, Last I checked Eric Holder doesn't work at the FBI, obviously the fictional story line of your delusion is too complicated for even you.
Gotta go, Fleetwood Mac is taking me for an early bird dinner at Denny's, normally I wouldn't go, what with all the work to be done on the music studio, but what the heck, this might be my last supper once you use your clout with the FBI and DOJ (ahahahahaha)
.."Pevie Hicks wants me dead. It's why Jimmy brought him or her in. The psychological hitman to get rid of the guy who didn't die like a good little victim of Organized Stalking by people in Scottsdale".
Of course accusing someone of conspiracy to commit murder is pretty much what you are actually doing yourself..
it's rooted in your bad liberal habit of projecting..
Well Kepple you just formally accused Jim in print of organizing a conspiracy to commit murder.
That crosses the line and is a felony in it's self- it also leaves you liable for civil action in the process- aren't we supposed to say something if we see something?
You are an ignorant and dangerous fool and probably should be locked up for your own protection as well as safeguarding the public.
Allowing you the possession of any firearm is much the same as handing a four year old a loaded 357 and sending him into the back yard to play.
.."Jimmy, you and your friends had me confused enough to take my own life and I've got the evidence to prove it. Just a couple more years and the statute of limitations kicks in, huh?"
Hey Rick, don't depend on any statute of limitation's when it comes to organizing criminal acts involving a plot to commit murder.
Entertaining suicidal thoughts in print will get one's firearms yanked out of their hands muy pronto you polyp, they are real sensitive about that sort of thing right now.
..well I have tried every approach until I am blue in the face so I guess I am officially off the blog as long as this dog is allowed/encouraged to slander honest people and shit on the property in doing so.
By The way Rick, you won't be able to do time in a men's prison, the white boys aren't going to have anything to do with you once you start this type of nonsense, so you had better dial in on the religious aspect and do a lot of praying, just like the Chester's and child murders do..
Yards flush 51/50's like you every day, you might not even make it through classification at the reception center- much less walk any prison yard.
.."I'll be on the grassy knoll if you need me."
You just implied, making a overt and direct threat with reference to the Kennedy assassination conspiracy warning us all that you are now intending to stalk all of us with a high powered rifle
..isn't that what you just said? yeah HLS archives all this stuff and I am about ready to give the Richman PD a call they will have to investigate.
Ricky, looking at the insane, incoherent, libelous, stuff you're spewing, this might be a good time for you to take your usual tack?
Look at it this way....sure, people may wonder if your nuts if you have multiple, "COMMENT REMOVED BY AUTHOR", posts....
But the crap you've posted today, leaves absolutely NOTHING to wonder about.
You are probably too stupid or sick to realize it, but you've stepped WAY THE HELL over the line!
Get a grip!
Ricky, take your imaginary friend SN and just go away. Don't go away mad, just go away and stop bothering the good folks on Jim's blog.
Jim, one of my best friends was running in the Boston race, he was 50 yards from the finish line when the bombs went off, but on the far side of the street from the blast, He said the concussion almost knocked him down. Some fell, others turned and ran the other way, but after running for 4 hours he wasn't going to be denied. He did interviews with CNN and USA Today
His official times were:
Half- 01:53:13 Full= 04:09:20 Gun=04:10:50
Rick,
I told you a while back no more than 3 blogs a day. You did eleven today. Sorry, man but I had to use the delete key.
Please cool it.
It wasn't my intention to start this type of chain reaction, but the writing is on the wall with Rick, he cannot be reasoned with only restrained.
I learned the hard way not to allow your own convictions to be assumed as part of the makeup of everyone else.
You,I.. nor any other responsible person has to be shackled for societies safety, however.. we all know that there are a lot of people in society that to maintain order anything less than a ultimate show of force is found to be imprudent and frankly dangerous.
Pardon my earlier outburst I had surgery, a Rinolobotomy, (they call it Septoplasty) around lunchtime and the anesthesia was still talking.
But I still meant every damn word I wrote.
..it was always a good idea but of course you can't possibly stop by yourself- control issues you know.
This crap has got to stop....
It will stop, everyone but Rick will just stop posting I guess.
Each one of us are only able to control our own actions and I suppose that includes just going somewhere where we don't have to tolerate the rantings of a madman like the sane among us already have.
I do ninety percent of my postings on websites that don't tolerate dogs shitting on other people's lawns with every posting.
It's called common decency and not everyone has their full measure.
First amendment rights only concern the relation between the individual and the federal government, you can rant all you want in a free society, but it doesn't mean anyone is compelled to listen.

...lots of stuff to talk about once the distraction is eliminated..
This just in.....Police reveal that weapon used in Boston Marathon bombing was a:
"High Capacity, Assault Pressure Cooker"
Congress is floating a bill to require 7 day wait and full background checks on all pressure cookers sold....
the laws will start with high capacity pressure cookers typically leading to a Universal Pressure Cooker Registry.. but just like anything else deemed too dangerous for the polite society we now enjoy that is only a first step to the banning and confiscation of all pressure cookers even if inherited from family members..
..there simply is no reason today for anyone except law enforcement and government to have access to Pressure Cookers- as one recent example, those rice cookers Obam.. erh, I mean OCastro gave his kulaks work just fine in Cuba and have contributed to an enhanced level of safety- proof is, fewer people are abandoning the unicorn petting zoo and modern model of efficiency by catching the midnight express north on anything that floats bigger than a matchstick.
M.Moore is correct, the safety aspect alone of the state supported Cuban rice cooker give away model is superior to our system in the same manner their medical system puts ours to shame.
It's not hard to imagine their joy if only now they had some rice to cook in them.
..or had a roll of toilet paper for desert for that matter.
I for one am spending today looking for a pressure cooker buy back program so I can do my part to make America safer-
.. erh, I mean finally "safe".
Homeland Security did jump in with extra pat down's on a lot of grandma's and wheel chair bound children yesterday in apparent sympathy to the event.
Reports indicate that schools everywhere are changing the signs in the parking lot this morning from this being a free fire, erh I mean "gun free zone" to "No guns or pressure cookers allowed, we maintain a zero tolerance and really mean it this time"- and that includes squirt guns, pop tarts, and finger pointing accompanied by a distinct banging noises.
Pax Obama.
Na.. either you are done and gone or I go for good- it's not a threat, simply a matter of not wanting to being exposed to the workings of your mind any longer.
..but that's just me- I have never expected to have anyone else carry my water.
Of course I realize that not everyone feels the same as me, I suppose because everyone has different tolerance levels- I have worked with jerks like you for too long already.
I am off the Rox so it's me talking this time.
You are nothing but a hazardous pollutant to any meaningful adult discourse, that's a fact that can never change.
No one and I mean no one cares if you have a pressure cooker, it's the firearms that we are concerned with nut jobs like you having-
..besides I don't like the idea of someone out there threatening to shoot one of us like you did yesterday.
Rick, I know you've have been asked repeatedly to limit your ramblings to three (3) posts per day.
You had eleven yesterday, and here you go again with five so far and the day's only half gone.
Obviously you never learned to count?, or,
You have no regard for the rules? or
You're here for the sole purpose of disrupting the conversation and could give a shyt about anyone but your crazy self.
I'm kinda wondering, since no one here can stand you, since most ignore you until your posts become so ignorant or obnoxious that they could strip paint, and the only interaction you get is in the form of insult or the occasional obligatory nicety from the moderator, why are you here?
(of course, I should point out that writing a babbling, drug induced, nonsensical, stevie-laden response will place your total even further above the limit)
The government can have my pressure cooker when they pry it from my cold dead hand.

Being a writer myself, I felt compelled to comment on the rather interesting writing style by Mr. Kepple.
Based on his latest post, it's obvious to me he's trying to imitate one of two things:
A court stenographer?
Or a parrot?
Not sure if I should buy the chap a stool? or a cracker?
Hey rick, if you're gunna do CRAZY, at least DO IT RIGHT!

At least I learned what Rhiannon wis.
So what do you think?
"wis".. (it's a trial balloon, cutting edge evo language concept I'm floating mixing the two words was and is to see if it goes viral, and if it- no, WHEN it does and I'm $ucce$$ful and rich I'll do a video at the old chicken coop now turned into a cutting edge rock $tudio and rule the world and all those rock $tar$ that laughed in my face will be crawling to ME this time begging for my $ervices and sorry they laughed at me before and didn't like my unique/progressive style of guitar work or the smell around here)
**note to self** get another roll of aluminum foil at the Piggly Wiggly.
.. so it wasn't a total loss.
BTW..on that cannibalism thing like Rhiannon got smeared with always gets you a bad rap.. definitely this is the Rox kicking in..
..Oh Rochester, fetch me another ice bag..and be quick about it.
Whom ever wrote the book on MOOD SWINGS and CRAZY, sure needs to move the hell over and bow down on their "we're not worthy knees" to King Rick!
W/O a doubt....the sickest, goofiest, load of crazy lard-azz oaf, ever to don a plaid, goat poop smellin shirt!
Or as he obviously (name de plume he's used at least 25 times on this blog alone) prefers going by:

Get a bigger net, we got us a live one.
Teehee. Y'all are nuttier than a station wagon full of sweaty 10 year olds all hopped up on soda & cotton candy. And I am betting that our mystery commenter that keeps changing his screen name is my long lost but old friend "TrailBoss".
I would have to agree with you CjHC- hope you are doing well.
Any normal person wanting to chime in and make a comment probably would look at this and give it a wide left, it's looking more each day like a Maryvale bumfight club.
..there is a common denominator in every equation tho, party crashers aren't appreciated when they make absolutely no attempt to act civilly.
But it's the way of the new normal I guess, so do you have any constructive ideas on how to deal with a complete runaway?
Please note the civil conversation and general commonality the adults were having the entire first day right up until the moment Rick barged in uninvited spreading his insanity and bile, as usual.
I can guarantee you he has done this all his life everywhere he has been and will continue to do the same to the grave.
Two and two equal something I suppose.
Even if it really did take a village we still wouldn't need this particular idiot.
Nope. As far as I can tell, the problem is like that virus that causes chicken pox, shingles, herpes...in that once you've got it, it never goes away & the best one can do is try to avoid flare ups & not pick at the sores when they appear. Sorry, Middy, that's the best I've got right now. But it has worked pretty well for me for a while.
I am doing okay.
Ricky:
Thats two posts and it's not even 7AM....
Better make your next /last one of the day count....
Why not say something profound?, or at least sane....
Oops.....in the time it took me to post lil ricky shot his wad!
Worst case of remature post-e-lation I've ever seen....plus he ignored the "sane" part
Well, I see this barrage of insanity as an insult, or maybe a direct challenge to Jim?
I'm out of here until it blows over or decides to revert to the usual "This comment has been removed by the author" stance....
We interrupt the stevie channel to bring you an update on the Boston Marathon bombings.
Looks like an arrest is eminent, hope it doesn't turn out to be another Richard Jewel:
http://www.thetowntalk.com/viewart/20130417/NEWS01/130417027/AP-source-Arrest-imminent-Boston-bombings-
at least the stock market is doing well, gold taking a beat down, apple is done like dinner and the official news agencies coming up with all sorts of speculation on what has happened..
The idiot business news sites still have no clue or are unwilling to look the truth in the face.
..typical cheerleader behavior.
.."Looks like an arrest is eminent, hope it doesn't turn out to be another Richard Jewel"
I would imagine it is some utube video making fun of the Prophet behind this, find the producer and all of a sudden- it's solved!
..worked the last time..
police work is easy, it's the math of life that gives them problems.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfK3_kJ4z7k&feature=player_embedded#!
the truth.
Middy,
Farage is repeating what you have been telling us along about confiscation of property.
Wow! What a civil war that would start if Obama tries it and he probably will. Nappy says they bought all those bullets because they got a better price with quantity buying. That is total bullshit! They know that when confiscation starts they are going to need every bullet they have.
I can't believe this is happening in the USA. Depressing.
Yes.. and remember what I was telling you the other day about human nature and their default position of Normality Bias giving them the deer in the headlights syndrome when things go against their perception of reality.
It will be interesting to see what happens if they allow Apple to dip below the 400.00/share mark..
Of course the fools at Calpers loaded up on that dog last year at the top.
But something major is imminent- events drive global markets and there are a lot of plates in the air at the moment.
I wouldn't be surprised if they don't suspend trading some time in the future.
Farage is a brilliant mind, and he has the same clear vision an courage of a Churchill or Maggie Thatcher.
Tomorrow could be a real bloodbath, the investment banks are giving Apple the usual 3.30 ramp treatment but I think it's gone off the edge- oil dropped two bucks today which is similar to the 2007 crash conditions.
hang on.
Just got a secret message, it says.. D.R.I.N.K.Y.O.U.R....
damn, I lost the connection.
Media now reversing itself and saying no Boston bombing arrests are eminent...
In other news: DEWEY WINS!
(In fairness, it could also have been GORE WINS)
Being fast seems to trump being accurate, although I noticed Domino's Pizza, the be there in 30 min or it's free guys, are now advertising their new s-l-o-w, but quality pizzas....
I'm surprised some nut group hasn't taken credit yet for the bomb.
This is probably the tip of the iceberg. Other countries have had this crap for years; probably now our turn and they will never catch anyone.
How would you like to be about 16 now with unaffordable college costs in front of you, terrorist infiltration, a president who is clueless, and an electorate who will probably elect a duplicate of him in 2016 because of the free shit syndrome which is possessed by the loser Democrats.
Woe is us if some true leader on a white horse doesn't materialize soon. Any Teddy Roosevelts out there?
The Byrds sang:
~~To everything~(turn)~(turn)~(turn)~~
~~There is a season~~(turn)~(turn)~(turn)~~
Apparently, they had a couple of seasons of humanity in Boston on Monday.
The first, a season of heros self-lessly running toward the explosion to render aid....
And, unfortunately, a second, season of self-ish opportunists looting a booth while people lay dying on the sidewalks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=1hM7Ura6Q4w
What a country ?
.."How would you like to be about 16 now with unaffordable college costs in front of you, terrorist infiltration, a president who is clueless, and an electorate who will probably elect a duplicate of him in 2016 because of the free shit syndrome which is possessed by the loser Democrats"
..well Jim, he did say he was going to fundamentally transform America.
.. just like in bootcamp the civilians have to be stripped of their self dignity before the rebuild into another reality can begin- the TSA has made great progress in that conditioning regime Bush started, and they will certainly be on public streets and baseball parks everywhere now.
..and yes they are going to seize our property once we are disarmed to make us safe- public safety like they deliver now costs a lot in big statist governments.
Please, no Teddy Roosevelt or any other white extremists please- we got enough problems with this spawn of Satan and the other 535 traitors we have now.
What do you think about this crap Jim?
.."While almost no one was looking, a law making it easier for congressional and top executive branch staffers to engage in corrupt trading was signed into law Monday".
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/insider-trading-nations-capital-just-123453723.html
So when I say 535 traitors I am not being glib or hyperbolic, this is the type of legislation we get when we elect either Republicans or Democrats..
they are all despicable tyrants and should be dealt with accordingly.
Middy, that stinks, obviously, we haven't got a chance!
No actually this could turn into a good thing.
I sense the liberals who voted for this clown are finding out what the game is and starting to wonder..
..no jobs, no hope and the entire congress taking advantage of a distraction- hard to maintain the illusion.
One can only speculate as to why they ALL voted this in last Monday.
Obviously they knew I was in surgery and could not be paying attention.
.. "Bombastic Excess, I wear it well"
Did you notice that Jan Brewer nixed the bill giving the customer a lot of options in the medical industry including mandating that hospital charges are posted before the fact?
The only explanation I can think of is she is on the donor list from Big Hospital and serves them instead of us.
By Mary K. Reinhart azcentral.com Fri Apr 12, 2013 10:43 PM
{Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed legislation Friday that would have required doctors, hospitals and other health-care providers to post prices for their most common services, a move the bill’s sponsor said was a blow to consumers and driven by industry pressure.
In her veto letter, the governor said the measure’s “ambiguous terms and definitions” could conflict with state and federal laws and expose the state to lawsuits.
“I support price and quality of care transparency in the health care sector, which will provide useful information to help patients manage their health care needs,” Brewer said. “I am concerned about the practical and potential legal implications of this bill.”
Sen. Nancy Barto, R-Phoenix, dismissed the governor’s explanations as “red herrings” and accused her of bowing to pressure from the hospital industry, which opposed Senate Bill 1115.
“I think it shows who she’s listening to in this whole health-care debate,” Barto said. “She’s not on the side of consumers.”}
Politics lately is like continuing to kiss frogs in hopes that eventually you might get lucky.
..and it's is not working.
There was ricin found too. Remember when I did the research on how much Castor Beans it would take to make ricin and it was handed off to the feds. They didn't know either, but they did appreciate the insight.
I analyzed both the ricin and that pressure cooker bomb as possibly the work of one group. Add the gunpowder and I fear it is the work of domestic terrorists. Possibly a Christian group, but probably anarchists. Libertarians would do it too.
You see, you can buy castor beans in bulk if you're a farmer and no one will care. What if that farmer is a chemist? Or working with a chemist ... who hates Americans.
It's either educated Taliban or homegrown terrorists of Afghanistan war veterans.
But why Boston and why the marathon? CNN said that the Elite run in those games.
Ricin. As it turns out, it takes a lot of castor beans to make a tiny bit of ricin. No, I don't know anything about chemicals. I'm told items in the kitchen can be made into a bomb, but I avoid thoughts like that.
I'm a new me. A thoughtful me. Like one rock star on Facebook said to me, not very nicely, I say "sorry," too much. It's an Aspergers thing.
I'm getting accustomed to the idea that I'm smarter than most people and there's a real scientific reason why I'm this way and I don't need drugs. I just need people to leave me alone.
"I just need people to leave me alone." Want people to leave you alone, Rick? Leave. Easy as that. Not a single person on this blog is gonna follow you anywhere. I guarantee that.
BTW, you do not have aspergers. It is dementia. In your case, it is probably from years of drug abuse but it is dementia nonetheless. In other words, the circuit board in your head is fried & you are losing more logical connections every day.
Since I wisely chose to remain anonymous years ago, I won't bill you for the expert opinion.
Dora used to tell me to keep it short. It wasn't the doctors who recognized my disorder first, it was Dora. She diagnosed the sleep apnea and everything.
Short:
Gunpowder, probably blackpowder. Bye bye powder in bulk for reloading and blackpowder weapons.
The pressure cookers are tricky. The Chinese have used them for bombs. The Taliban use them. I would guess that American soldiers, in EOD, know how to make them. That's actually a pretty small list of suspects.
I looked on Youtube and there are no directions of how to make a pressure cooker bomb.
I looked at the videos and there's a guy crouching facing the blast like he's photographing it and he didn't even flinch. Everyone else moved, but him.
Want people to leave you alone, Rick? Leave. Easy as that. Not a single person on this blog is gonna follow you anywhere. I guarantee that.
Sure, CJ. I'll leave and never come back. I leave the usual curse.
Thank you, Senate!
Sorry, Barry. Go play some golf.
CJ,
Good to see you stop by. Thanks for the comments.
Clownafornia strikes again..
look at the bills pending on this docket.. they are going the route of taxing guns out of existence..
http://nramemberscouncils.com/legs.shtml
Apparently has aspergers has more than one definition:
1. It can be a debilitating disease.
2. It can be a dandy, one size fits all, excuse for all manner of terrible behavior or sheer stupidity.
Hard to say? Cruel disease ?
Or Convenient excuse ?
I love the photo on the front of the Republic this a.m. with Biden crying in front of the Sandy Hook parents.
What a loser he is; a perfect complement to O.
Don't these idiots know that criminals who shoot people are a million times smarter than they are? Like one guy said: Backgroud checks don't help because criminals don't get background checks.
Meanwhile, a prominent Democratic Senator, Max Baucas of Montana says Obamacare is a "trainwreck".
"And the beat goes on....."
http://www.unitedliberty.org/articles/13367-democratic-senator-obamacare-a-train-wreck
Train wreck ? Don't see how
Thousands upon thousand of pages of legislation and regulations hastily written by self-serving gas-bags driven by political agenda....
What could possibly go wrong????
BTW, at the end of the article, Baucas, being the good loyal Dem, said he "still believes Obamacare is a "good" bill", just doesn't like the way it's being implemented. Of course the admin blames it on Republican stonewalling.
In other news.....
Lumpy Rutherford (Leave It To Beaver) died today....
I'm thinking lots of people younger than me will remember the "Lump" as the show has been in re-runs for eons....?
I just listened to M.Rubio run his mouth on Rush's show.
I will never vote for that mealy mouthed lying bastard no matter what now- he's just another K-K-Karl Rove clone as far as I am concerned.
I want to hear someone defend that son of a bitch and explain to me where is the difference between he and Chuck Schumer.
..I can't see a shred of difference except Schumer is a lot more honest.
Looks like apple is going code, that four hundred dollar psychological barrier has been breached like a ....
I smell a bit of fear in the liberal camp today, LeBron Obama yet again made a foolish, public spectacle of himself yesterday in front of the entire world.
..now if this obvious terrrrrrorrrrrist turns out to be one of the muslim bros.. it's gonna leave a mark.
Can't have that but just keep in mind the longer it takes to give us the official version the longer they have to get some whiter than white tea party sympathizer to take the fall on this one.
The theater yesterday in the Senate had nothing to do with passing legislation, it had everything to do with setting the table to retake the House..
..don't worry about Congressional staff or members losing money in a falling market.
Now they can continue to buy based on inside information or short the sucker based on their own legislation.
They got that pesky rule lifted off their shoulders that would put you or I in Federal prison for twenty years taken away while everyone was watching Boston.
Reason being they shouldn't have to live in fear of the law while looking out for our best interests, that concept just can't be spun right but hey, the news media isn't saying anything so.. I guess it's "what does it matter now?" time again.
..crafty foxes didn't even have to vote on it because no one opposed..
..think about that for a moment- all 535 just showed you the level of contempt they have for honest people.
Nice to see the Senate voted down the background check. Congrats to Senator Flake. McCain as usual was a disappointment.
Glad to see Obama get his ass handed to him on gun control. Poor baby.
I think it's time for the Gabby Giffords Mark Kelly sympathy tour to end now.
In case you missed the Boston bombing FBI presser, here are the two suspects they are trying to identify:
http://www.fbi.gov/news/updates-on-investigation-into-multiple-explosions-in-boston/updates-on-investigation-into-multiple-explosions-in-boston
Proud,
Wait until they actually try to implement that mess of a healthcare program. Sibelius is up to her neck in blame for the mess says Butch's fave Karl Rove. Likle all good Dems, she blames the Repubs for everything.
Yeah, Frank bank is gone from Beaver. That leaves Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, and Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) about the only ones left from that show among the main characters. Barbara Billingly was tremenndous in "Airplane" (1980) as the jive talking grandma.
I agree, Mike. Bravo to Flake; McCain is an idiot and should resign; a total embarrassment.
Gifford and her little gnome hubby just won't go away. I'm sorry she got shot but it was a case of her overestimating her popularity. She didn't have near enough security that day at Safeway; she figured everyone loved her to much. Wrong!
Proud,
Bad photos: one looks like a Bob Denver impersonator and the other could be anyone. They will never catch those guys.
I look for more of this like Waco since it's so easy to do when no one suspects anything.
Hopefully the gun failure will be the beginning of Obama's lame duck final couple years. I see RealClear has him dropping from 2.6 to 1.6 popularity edge since yesterday. I want him in the red zone ASAP.
Pretty sure today's market dip was because of the loss of the "Lumpster"...
Proud,
Lumpy was 71, Eddie Haskell is 70, Jerry Mathers is 65, Tony Dow is 68.
Those guys sure seem old since we knew them as kids but when I add up the years I am older than all of them!
Now what? I think I will add my years again. Maybe I made a mistake!
All the babes from that era are old or gone too. Bob Denver's old sweetie from Dobie Gillis (Tuesday Weld as "Thalia Menninger" is 72, same with gorgeous Yvette Mimieux ("The Time Machine") who is 71. Sandra Dee is dead too as is her former husband Bobby Darin who died at 37.
Time zips by! It's sure no time to sweat the small shit.
S. 649 (Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of2013 )
Measure Title: A bill to ensure that all individuals who should be prohibited from buying a firearm are listed in the national instant criminal background check system and require a background check for every firearm sale, and for other purposes.
Vote Counts: YEAs 68
NAYs 31
Not Voting 1
Feinstein (D-CA), Yea
Schumer (D-NY), Yea
Flake (R-AZ), Yea
McCain (R-AZ), Yea
I have no idea what the love affair with Jeff Flake is based on.
He just voted "yea" to mandate a federal firearm check on every transaction including between friends and family members and to begin to create a national registry which will do absolutely nothing to prevent crime.
Other than that he is just an all around great family man I suppose.
Politicians like him seems to have no more backbone to stand up to the neo nazis than that traitorous fool McCain- he's just another principle free range RINO as far as I am concerned.
I believe McCain is up for reelection next year. Hopefully he won't run again. Time for the RINO to retire and go away.
You know Jim, even after half a century, just the mention of Tuesday Weld still gets me going....I really don't want to picture her in her 70's. She was a real hottie!
Yeah, Tuesday was a real dish.
As far as the babe with probably the finest bod of the 60s, real consideration has to be given to Ann- Margret, a definite member of babedom.
Check out "Viva Las Vegas" with her and Elvis the next time it's on. Check the scene with her in the white shorts and the one where she is dancing to "What'd I Say" in that tight yellow dress. Even with the 1964 long hem length she exudes sex. This runs 3:06
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVQFSheb9h4
Ann Margret in tight white shorts in "Viva Las Vegas." (1964) 56 seconds
I love Elvis' comment:
Ann asks him if he could check her car because the motor is whistling.
He says: "I don't blame it."

Like Mark Levin said: "Arizona has two flakes"
Jim, I read your article about Bozo. Pretty good, what an idiot that guy is.
I noticed that the link to your website doesn't work, it goes to someone else's McCallister site.
Man am I too jaded anymore on any politicians I guess, I know the game is played but the game hasn't been working lately.
let it go...let it go...let it go...let it go...
Another gorgeous fireball watch tonight, laying out there with a frozen pea pack on my nose and now my shin which I managed to crack pretty good it occurred to me that life has been pretty sweet lately.
I really sense a change in the winds, maybe it's just my naturally upbeat Polyanna-ish outlook on life but I really think maybe like a boil that has to pop, it's getting ready.
..interesting times indeed!
I finally got to Cabella's this morning on the way back from the doctor, fifth in line and managed to get to a box of cci .22lr.
sweet..
I want to see if they cycle any better in my nylon 66- I can shoot that brick of cheap Federal promotional loads in my mod. 18- revolvers aren't fussy at all.
Arizona has two flakes... hahaha.. hadn't heard that, tomorrow Mark Stein fills in for Rush.. my favorite relief pitcher.
.."Two young men, armed with guns and explosives in what appeared to be backpacks, engaged in a violent standoff with dozens of police on a street in Watertown, Mass., Thursday night, a resident said.
Andrew Kitzenburg, 29, said he looked out of this third floor window to see two young men of slight build in jackets shooting at dozens of police officers from behind a black Mercedes SUV. The officers and the men were 70 yards apart, he said, and engaged in “constant gunfire.”..

Well there goes Friday.. looks like it's going to be a continuing crisis under the Nobel Peace Prize winner's watch after all.
..anybody seen Matt Drudge lately?- he seems to be asleep at the wheel a lot lately.
He has not found work for three years. Now, he said, his family is living on what he called a “cabbage-based diet,” which it supplements by foraging for snails in nearby fields. “I know you can’t cover nutritional basics with cabbage,” he said bitterly. “But there’s no alternative.”
“I’m not saying we should just wait for others to help us,” he said. “But unless the European Union acts like this school, where families help other families because we’re one big family, we’re done for.”

..People in this country had better start paying attention.
.. what's going on in Europe is on it's way here now- same thing can happen to food as what happened to ammo.
Liz Taylor when she was in her prime- that's the gold standard as far as I'm concerned.
..no drama or issues in her life.. lol.

Mass. <-> sanctuary state..
I wonder if Obama just went to bed last night like he did when Bengazi was under siege- probably had to get some shut eye so he can be fresh to do some campaigning today- needs money..
..liberals always need someone else's money..
truth of life number #1.
..ah well despite all the evidence that might indicate this was indeed only part of a terrorist cell with more involved, it will be wrapped up nicely before the day is over.

Tamerlan says he doesn’t usually take his shirt off so girls don’t get bad ideas: “I’m very religious.”
Tamerlan says he doesn’t drink or smoke anymore: “God said no alcohol.” A muslim, he says: “There are no values anymore,” and worries that “people can’t control themselves.”
Tamerlan says his girlfriend is half Portuguese, half Italian girlfriend and converted to Islam: “She’s beautiful, man!”
He also had an Islam-centric YouTube page that includes a subscription to the channel “Allah is the One.”
http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/04/19/dead-bombing-suspect-im-very-religious-there-are-no-values-anymore/
I'm sure this will be easily explained away by the administration, but the msm is going to have to get creative to get this reported right.
..came to me in a flash..
This has been found to be a Tea Party false flag operation designed to thwart the upcoming amnesty legislation, the conservative's have proved that they are willing to stoop to any level including bombings to maintain their xenophobic stance on Obama's noble attempts to pass reasonable legislation and let people come out of the shadows, yeah... should have seen it for what it is before.
...Pax Obama.
Uncle Famooze sounds like he blames American culture for twisting the minds of these honor students- ergo... it's our fault.
Steve,
The website they put in for me is incorrect. They left off the "J" from in front of my last name. It doesn't matter since the site is this one. I didn't tell them to correct it.
As far as Bozo the Clown, he is still the complete ass he has always been as you can tell from his comments on the Politics blog.
He is ruining that blog like he did azcentral. He posts too much and what he posts is stupid but he is quick to criticize others. It's not that I mind as I love to put him in his place as I did on my last entry there but it gets to be a nuisance after a while.
The proof is in the pudding as I am averaging more than twice the hits he gets.
He is only satisfied when he gets to be the leader and I have been waxing his ass on the blogs since 2007. It kills him but he doesn't improve; he chooses to try to discredit me instead. The work of a true loser.
He must pay that woman to live with him (assuming she is still there) because he is very abusive to women. I heard that his ex-wife had a restraining order on him and he had quite a rap sheet in AZ and Scottsdale.
Sharp guy! LOL
Middy,
I was glad to see Flake cast the "nay" vote on the gun bill though. Surprised me. But, I wasn't surprised at McCain. What a turncoat he us.
Flake is taking heavy heat on his vote which figures. I'm so sick of Giffords and her husband I could puke.
One of those guys is dead from what I read this a.m. Haven't seen any details yet.
I agree on Drudge; he has slipped lately; more like he is mailing it in.
Liz Taylor was born in 1932 and to me her real beauty years were in the early 50s in films like "Father of the Bride" (1950)and "A Place in the Sun" (1951) and "Giant" (1955). A true POA to be sure.
With her lifestyle she was looking a little ragged even as early as 1959 in "Butterfield 8".
All conservatives better hide. I expect some poor working stiff who voted for Romney to get blamed.
What's this guy talking about?:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/04/19/turn-yourself-in-and-ask-forgiveness-angry-uncle-bombing-suspect-demands/
We know it had to be an NRA member, not those guys. LOL Just ask Nobama.
Loser Kerry who lives off his wife's ketchup fortune says "We have more important things to worry about than Benmghazi."
Tell that to those people's families you f--ing phony.

I like to read some of the comments on articles like that one, if you notice no one is buying this crap much any longer.
It's getting to be not a red vs. blue issue any more, if we ever see the light or Revolution there will have to be a lot of wakened up low information voters if not helping at least not getting in the way.
National Velvet.
.. those lavender eyes- I rest my case.
best lol of the day is that car the supposed bomber jacked and ran over his own brother's body to escape had a "Co-Exist" bumper sticker..
.."can't make this degree of humor up" - Will Rogers would have had a field day, as well as P.T. Barnum.
Yeah but Liz went from National Velvet to Elsie the serial wedding, cow, who's best bud was a child molester that had a nose that kept falling off....
she wasn't hired to type..
besides who doesn't have a bit of complications to their lives?- Eddie Fischer, Richard Burton- I'm surprised she was as well balanced as she was..
Great preformance in "the taming of a shrew".. yeah, she was starting to show some wear and tear even then.
"A motion picture for every man who ever gave the back of his hand to his beloved... and for every woman who deserved it.

There is a powerful message as to the reciprocity between the amount of effort we give our lives and the level of success we achieve.
..plus it's probably the most amazing show I have seen this week..
Obviously, you've never seen me: "walk the dog"
(not with a yo-yo....a poodle)
In other (never ending) news....
Suspect #1.....STILL DEAD
Suspect #2.....STILL MISSING
“That’s why a bomb can’t beat us. That’s why we don’t hunker down. That’s why we don’t cower in fear,” he said at the peak of his speech, during an interfaith service at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. “We carry on. We race. We strive. We build, and we work, and we love.”

a whole frick'n city of pansies on lockdown, being strip searched and having their cells tossed by government goons looking for a nineteen year old that somehow just can't be found.
..alive.
at least no one is talking about Adam Lozana any longer, he was a bush league wannabe compaired to this guy.
This guy backed his stolen car over his brother and threw bombs at the cops who were shooting at him..
that's the kind of action that get's you street cred- too bad he will never make mainline where it could do him some good.
How's this for Karma:
The mother of the two Chechnyan brothers suspected of setting off two bombs at the Boston Marathon was arrested last year for allegedly stealing $1,600 worth of clothes from Lord & Taylor Dept Store
Sons were identified and chased down because of surveillance video from a Lord & Taylor dept. store...
It's a bitch alright!

How can you blame someone recently fleeing their homeland in hopes of building a better life with no means of support other than to engage in a bit of wealth transfer to tide her over until the government can give a hand?
After all, she is not the only one who came here for the opportunity, are your hands so entirely spotless you can point a finger of shame at someone who was only trying to keep her family from blowing up.
A bit of larceny towards the unclean non believers in the name of the Prophet is not only excused but considered as prudent demonstrations of faith and respect.
I am a little disappointed in your callous and insensitive remark.
All of us agree that muslims are decent hardworking people coming here to offer their services to make our nation stronger.
Our best man at HLS is on the case and I imagine that America is about to be introduced to an enhanced level of security we have never enjoyed in our history except for what the Japanese and German American citizens did during WWII.
Pax Obama.
Just heard the suspect is "down"....Hope to hell the little punk is standing in line for the 99 virgins :-)
Just heard the lil punk twerp is "In Custody"...
Too bad, now he's get a three year OJ Simpson / Jodia Arias, sensational trial, a made for TV movie, and, of course, a lucrative tell-all, book deal.....
National Velvet? She was 12! Cute kid though. She was so pure and unspoiled. Oh what the future wrought!
Wow. Does anybody remember where & when the first shots of the American Revolution were fired? I am not saying that I know what to make of the strange coincidence but something was nagging me to look it up & this is what I found:
"The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. They were fought on April 19, 1775, in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy (present-day Arlington), and Cambridge, near Boston."
Times have changed..
Once Mass was the cradle of Liberty, now it's the exact opposite.
Yeah might sound creepy getting all worked up over a twelve year old, but I was about ten at the time soooo....
I did learn one thing, never look directly in their eyes.
..one deep look put my ship on the rocks more than once- I guess it's better to be lashed to the mast for our own well being until we safely pass the Anthemusa, it's either that or be led by the nose for a while.
Actually I think that's pretty what marriage was supposed to address but hastily or poorly tied knots sometimes fail- ropes won't work, it takes roots.
.."Liberty and democracy are eternal enemies, and every one knows it who has ever given any sober reflection to the matter.
A democratic state may profess to venerate the name, and even pass laws making it officially sacred, but it simply cannot tolerate the thing.
In order to keep any coherence in the governmental process, to prevent the wildest anarchy in thought and act, the government must put limits upon the free play of opinion.
In part, it can reach that end by mere propaganda, by the bald force of its authority — that is, by making certain doctrines officially infamous.
But in part it must resort to force, i.e., to law. One of the main purposes of laws in a democratic society is to put burdens upon intelligence and reduce it to impotence.
Ostensibly, their aim is to penalize anti-social acts; actually their aim is to penalize heretical opinions.
At least ninety-five Americans out of every 100 believe that this process is honest and even laudable; it is practically impossible to convince them that there is anything evil in it. In other words, they cannot grasp the concept of liberty."
- H.L.Mencken.
Can you imagine the strategy they are going to use when it comes time to clamp down on free thought?.
One good thing to come of this instance today in Boston was we saw how totally inept the Federal response to any actual emergency other than just bullying the public around they really are.
Imagine if this had been a coordinated attack with simultaneous guerrilla teams all along the eastern seaboard.
It was in effect martial law introduced as a component to the new normal..
eat your peas.
Did my heart good to see all the people standing in the cold, waving American flags and applauding the police....
Middy...I must have missed the command to applaud???? looked to me like Americans gladly thanking law enforcement for quickly getting someone capable of blowing them and their families into tiny bits....
I don't believe there was any martial law ordered, everything I saw and read indicated that the Gov or Mayor "urged" or "recommended" people stay indoors and business' stay closed...and that was just in a 20+ block radius of a known terror threat...
Guess I'm just not in a cranky enough mood?
So what's the problem?
two people can have different views of the same issue without becoming mortal enemies, I guess I am just a bit hypersensitive over the loss of individual rights and sense this was a move to further establish the Federal Police state that I see coming.
We Libertarian minded folk seem to view life differently than a lot of other good people.
Chalk it up to my being witness and working in an end product environment that has the ability and the force of law necessary to deny nearly all individual rights in response to a crisis, perceived or real.
What I see today is an America willing to give up yet another degree of liberty for an illusion of security..
Would you feel better if no one raised my concerns?
I told you that Libertarians have problems with both liberal and conservative viewpoints occasionally.
You are right, they were not forced to stand in the rain, they did it willingly and that scares people like me more than you can imagine- they have been conditioned.
.."What the common man longs for in this world, before and above all his other longings, is the simplest and most ignominious sort of peace:
..the peace of a trusty in a well-managed penitentiary.
He is willing to sacrifice everything else to it.
He puts it above his dignity and he puts it above his pride.
Above all, he puts it above his liberty.
The fact, perhaps, explains his veneration for policemen, in all the forms they take–his belief that there is a mysterious sanctity in law, however absurd it may be in fact."
- I didn't write it, H.L.Mencken wrote it decades ago- truths are both universal and timeless, red vs. blue politics simply do not work.
..see the difference between you and me and Rick and me is we can discuss issues without getting personal or overly emotional- we just see things a bit different and can discuss issues without becoming hostile to one another like the PTB would prefer.
.."In light of the fact that authorities are still searching for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, both the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins have postponed their games against the Kansas City Royals and the Pittsburgh Penguins, respectively.
It would have been the Red Sox first game at Fenway Park since Monday afternoon. Their Patriots Day game against the Tampa Bay Rays which began at 11:05 a.m. concluded shortly before the bombings took place. The team then travelled to Cleveland for a three game series against the Indians before returning to Boston last night.
As for the Bruins, it is the second time this week they have postponed a game. Their Monday night game against the Ottawa Senators was called off. They were, however, able to host an emotional game against the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night".
I feel safer just knowing the Red Sox were not playing Friday. lol.
Hey Middy, I take no offense at differing opinions, and I have more than my share of cynical bones,(though most have been broken or cracked over the past couple years), I welcome good give and take on any issue.
The bombing, on Boston's Patriots / Marathon day was quite a kick in the stomach to the town,(which from the times I've been there, is very PROUD), I thought the city handled it well, and love the fact that young people weren't holed up in their house, or some bar, but standing in a cold drizzle, thanking the police, and chanting U~S~A....U~S~A.
In my view, we need a lot more of that! Seems like the norm these days would be to blame the cops, fault the system, and make this terrorist out as some kind of unsung hero or victim....
Maybe this is why I'm in a good mood? Today, my screen name couldn't be more apropos!!!
Folding chairs from Walmart.......................$12.95
Bottled water from the concession stand ......$1.25
Watching your grandson catch a pass and run 60 yards for a TD, with 20 seconds left in the game.....PRICELESS
I agree, and just because I have different concerns doesn't mean I hold your opinion in contempt, I guess fortunately you are just at a lesser level of cynicism as to the chains I drag through life make me look like- probably because you have been domesticated by a nice long marriage..
..lucky guy.
well, my cpr training kicked in this morning- ya never know what life holds.
I happened on a fresh motorcycle accident with the poor guy laying in the middle of the road.
My natural instincts are to check to make sure I sure I don't know anyone in it and speed up I got tied up for nearly two hours once watching over a dead guy on the way to Mammoth..
Pierre, I think that was his name, didn't need cpr and was awake and responding, but the real danger is letting someone drop off and lose b p by going into shock, so I got off by only asking questions to snap him out of himself and making sure he kept his head elevated, I gave him a brief injury assessment and keeping him talking until the paramedics could show up..
I talked to a fellow marine, trying to keep him conscious outside of Dodge City when he got his leg blown off by a rigged 105 booby trap.
he should have made it by all rights he was talking when he got loaded but he died in the chopper heading for first med- going into shock is a stone dead bitch.
I still have my brother getting killed forty years ago on a Harley by some damn drunk in the corners of my mind I guess.
He took a real shot but I can tell you that the pain he has now is nothing to the pain he will have tonight- this morning he was extremely lucky.
Are you saying 36 years with the same woman could domesticate a stud like me?
Oh WOW man, things got way beyond mellow at Denver's pot rally:
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_23070899/shots-fired-denvers-civic-center-after-pot-rally
Like, um, wow, I mean, like, the penalty for Bogarting, like, seems to have, like totaly, increased, like since back in like, my day.
Um, like why do you, like, think they call it, like, DOPE?
Pevie, I warned you to step back once and for all to that whole scene.
Bangkok was then, hey.. things have changed.
well, I guess they don't call it the mile high city for nothing..
Rocky mountian hiIIIIiihgh... pwheck, poohy..
..when it comes to society progress is merely an illusion.
tied through the second period, cardiac Coyotes are on the air..
Ah...WhOOOOOOoooooo..
Big LoL moment for fox sports, at the end of the game the score on the screen says...
Phoenix 2
Chicago 3
that's all folks..
.."Caren Teves, whose son was killed last summer in a mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater, said she invited Flake to dinner to sit in her son’s empty chair. He replied with a hand-written note praising her activism. Teves said the gesture would do nothing to prevent more mass shootings.
“To me, it’s words, not actions,” she said. “He’s using political speech to avoid doing what’s right.”
Jennifer Longdon said Flake should have drafted his own gun control bill if he didn’t find the Manchin-Toomey measure acceptable. Longdon, who relies on a wheelchair to get around after she was paralyzed in a Phoenix shooting, said Flake was “parsing words.”
Flake said he didn’t support the legislation because it would have affected some private gun transfers between friends and neighbors. The proposal fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance in the Senate. An attempt to ban assault-style rifles failed as well, along with a ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines. Arizona’s other U.S. senator, Republican John McCain, supported the gun control overhaul.
“My position has been the same. I favor measures to strengthen our background checks, particularly as it regards people with mental illness,” Flake said. “Although the intent, I believe, was just to take care of commercial sales and not involve private sales, it went deep into private sales."

Sorry Jim, I just can't ever trust a guy like Flake again, he has shown himself as a political shill who tries to walk the middle and gets pilloried by both sides for his gutless politics.
" I would that you were either hot or cold, but you are lukewarm so I spit you out of my mouth"
Although originally directed at the church at Corinth if memory serves me well, but the principle extends to flakes in society as well.
we don't need new restrictive gun laws, what we need is reasonable gun laws enforced.
..we need leaders- not appeasers.

4th amendment?- we don't need no stinkin' 4th amendment..
now a stock footage shot in 1938..

- ah.. the good old days when the sheep appreciated a stunning show of force.
..the people of Boston just make me - ehr.. happy.
(notice the citizens of Austria looked better dressed and more civilized than the rabble on today's streets of Boston.)
I don't expect everyone or anyone for that matter to agree, just listen to my point of view and consider the implications of what happened this past week.
..on the other hand muslim and other terrrrrrrooooorrrrrriiiiiissssstttttsssss!!..(quick, under your desks!) got a detailed, real time study on the many weak aspects of our response system, so in retrospect our valiant forces just schooled them on how to develop an effective strategy.
..and that's not even taking in consideration that all that force couldn't find a nineteen year old bleeder to point it out to the FLIR to where he was, it took a homeowner noticing a blood trail- they were packing up and going home.
So why wasn't he merely given a dose of CS or CN that would have certainly incapacitated someone bleeding for nearly a day instead of blindly shooting a boat full of holes not knowing who was under that tarp, then trying to set it's gasoline tanks on fire with a pyrotechnic?-
..they couldn't even shoot a fish in a barrel it looks like.
..any ideas?

leadership..
There will never be an effective way to control gun violence. There are too many nuts these days plus regardless of the laws, if a guy wants a gun to shoot up a public place he will simply buy one out of a car trunk in a back alley at midnight somewhere.
All this bullshit about background checks, registration, etc. are exactly that: BULLSHIT, and it doesn't matter how much little loudmouth twerps like Mark Kelly travel around enjoying his photo ops and interviews; there will still be gun violence.
In the case of Giffords, she was just too full of herself feeling that she was invincible because of her Tucson popularity. She found out quick how wrong she was; should have had more security. It only takes one person to dislike you.
Great clip of George. I miss "Seinfeld", truly the best show of the 90s.
Great Jerry quote to George: "Glamour?"
Now being reported that the two bombers were part of a 12 person sleeper cell:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/boston-bombers-fbi-hunting-12-strong-1844844#.UXM54Yqm6hA.twitter
Above link has thermal imaging video of the suspect in the boat while the robot pulls off the cover, and the grenades explode...
As if that isn't bad enough, Al Michaels was arrested on a DUI!
Christ! What's next? Are the D-backs going to surprise us and win a game in Colorado? No way!
I think I might go out and get a dui so I can be like all the cool guys, Kathy Lee's ex squeeze, Mark "last call" Grace, hey it's a pretty exclusive group forming up.
..and that's not counting greats from the past like Bo Belinski.
.. who was it that plowed into a tree that had been up to that night left unmolested since before the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?- oh yeah, it was that great futures investor "Nails" Dykstra himself, what ever happened to him?.
..oh yeah, he's doing some federal time for investment fraud..
..it was a set up.
I say it's high time for another Congressional Investigation.
Bad timing right now to set out to pick up some righteous 1382 style street cred, everybody knows it's better if you can time tent city somewhere around snowbird season.
(God bless our Snowbirds!!)
..not only is it cooler weather but at least someone in the tent might be able to talk a bit of hockey between your culinary shifts and locker inspections- hit it about now and it's soccer talk in Spanish, just try to slide in that conversation, guera.
..which reminds me of a couple of funny stories for over a beer or two sometime..
But now back to the show.
.."FBI hunts for a twelve man sleeper cell"- no evidence of explosives or suspicious material found at bachelor pad.
FBI has trailed the pair for over a year- knowing at least one should have been deported due to a domestic violence issue.
Greatest man hunt since Lincoln was assassinated turns up bupkis.
man letting his dog finally take a dump outside calls to report a blood trail leading to his boat.
FBI moves in.. uh-oh..
..film at eleven.
Did OJ ever find out who it was that killed his wife and Ron Goldman?- was it really a South American hit squad?
Will the good doctor Kimbel ever finally find that one armed killer of his wife?"
Who framed Roger Rabbit?.
whack a mole federal style- taxes are going to have to go up to cover this type of "security concerns".
Just wait until "The Nobel Peace Prize winner" wades in next week, as they used to say, "you ain't seen nothing yet"..
