WENDY DAVIS AND FAME BY FILIBUSTER

There is a state senator in Texas named Wendy Davis who is being hailed by those self righteous types who are forever fighting the supposed “war on women.”

Wow!  What a gal!  She bitched and moaned through eleven hours of a filibuster the other day without having to go to the bathroom even once.  Suddenly she is the flavor of the week at least until her followers start discussing something even more important to them than killing babies.  Perhaps Kim Kardashian’s latest diet or maybe what Lindsay is up to these days.

Senator Davis wants for women to be able to abort their unwanted children four weeks past the proposed law in Texas of no abortions after 20 weeks.

Kathleen Parker writes in her Washington Post column that the latest whim of “fame by filibuster” is becoming a phenomenon because this 50 year old female Texas State Senator could do an eleven hour filibuster.  She even has set a new fashion statement by wearing “rouge red” athletic shoes.  The stores better stock up on those at $116 a pair!  I can think of two local redheads who will be rushing to show Ms. Davis their loyalty.  No word yet on which shoe company she might cut a deal with.

Wendy Davis has a pair of these "rouge red"
shoes.  You simply must get some!
I think this woman’s popularity and the rush to buy her shoes have eclipsed what she is fighting for.  Do these ladies who gush over her know what a fetus looks like after 24 weeks?  20 weeks?  It
has a human form.  It would seem that there should be some kind of a minor key struck over that.  Instead the Texas senator is something in the neighborhood of being a rock star.

Parker reports that Davis is making the rounds of the talk shows which one would expect.  However, the discussions are leaning more toward show biz than hard questions about those dead babies she endorses.   She is the new heroine in the women’s “war” as she gets asked penetrating questions like “How are you even awake today?” and “What was it like standing that long”?

It’s up to you to decide how you feel on this subject.  I have been married for over 40 years and don’t have kids.  My wife and I were VERY careful to take precautions to avoid pregnancy.  If she would have gotten pregnant, I would have kept the kid.  Religion would have not played a part in that decision; a human life would have.  Apparently not everyone feels that way today.

To the anti-abortionists, life begins at conception.  Abortion rights people see limitations on abortions as infringement on a woman’s right to control her own body and a baby isn’t a baby until it leaves her body.  To me, that is a cop out and the lazy way to escape unwanted parenthood and responsibility.

If you don’t want the kid be careful and don’t get pregnant.  There are many ways to avoid pregnancy that are far less sinister than killing a human form.

Out of curiosity, I googled George Zimmerman & this is what I found: Jorge Zimmerman, who doesn't even look white, is a Spanish speaking, half Latino (Peruvian), registered Democrat. Quite the new poster boy you got there, Mike. Perhaps you should invite him to the Elk's Club for drinks one of these days.

midnightsstaff said...

I'm not sure which way you are going with this stuff Cj, are you implying that there was no political angle to this at all?

It was about an administration trying to incite racial hatred where none belonged- and it was about an out of control prosecutor doing the work of Satan DC.

..sounds like you have Elk envy. haha..

On July 8, President Obama said, “In this democracy, we the people recognize that this government belongs to us… the government is us."

Look at the ammo store shelves. People are panic buying more ammo now than ever before.

http://www.alloutdoor.com/2013/06/12/ammo-shortage-2013/

It will be years before store shelves are filled up with ammo again. That is, if there isn't war.

Too bad that I don't hear voices. I could use some good advice right now.

There's no political angle in it for me, Middy. Just an observation & I love the irony. Hey, maybe you should embrace your liberal Democrat Latino loving side like Mike has too.

And why should I envy the Elks? I mean, cheap beer, generally stimulating conversation, very few pretenses, you can still smoke inside those clubs & last time I was inside of one, I was invited to join...

I read that some news anchor from MSNBC used the Lord's name in vain when that verdict came down.

"We are all Trayvon" the chalk outline says in New York City.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/07/14/trayvon-martin-george-zimmerman-rallies/2516555/

They've got a nifty U.S. map that keeps popping up with more protests against the verdict.

Where's the civil war going to start first? The map looks like California, but there are so many idiots who haven't gotten drunk and angry yet. And their equally stupid liberal friends.

So another words, all that wasted taxpayer money had NOTHING to do with justice, but it was all about promoting racism.

.."In October 2011, after a video surveillance camera caught Martin writing graffiti on a door, MDSPD Office Darryl Dunn searched Martin’s backpack, looking for the marker he had used. Officer Dunn found 12 pieces of women’s jewelry and a man’s watch, along with a flathead screwdriver the officer described as a “burglary tool.” The jewelry and watch, which Martin claimed he had gotten from a friend he refused to name, matched a description of items stolen during the October 2011 burglary of a house on 204th Terrace, about a half-mile from the school. However, because of Chief Hurley’s policy “to lower the arrest rates,” as one MDSPD sergeant said in an internal investigation, the stolen jewerly was instead listed as “found property” and was never reported to Miami-Dade Police who were investigating the burglary. Similarly, in February 2012 when an MDSPD officer caught Martin with a small plastic bag containing marijuana residue, as well as a marijuana pipe, this was not treated as a crime, and instead Martin was suspended from school"..

None of direct evidence as to the criminal background of the nig in question was allowed in the courtroom.

http://spectator.org/blog/2013/07/15/trayvon-crime-school-miami

How many future victims were saved by George Zimmerman doing his job as a good citizen and how many other victims has the Miami PD created by not properly charging their homegrown feral nigs to artificially keep the crime reports down even when they get caught in school breaking the law?

Florida is a basket case of judicial and prosectorial mis managment and an embarrassment to honest people all over the nation and a laughingstock to the world.

George was innocent, his race never played into the issue of guilt or innocence except for disposable, America hating leftist tools that voted for Obama like you probably did twice.

Evidently estrogen compromised jerks like you think destroying a man's life is some sort of parlor game.

Thank God you are not my neighbor or one of my peers and never will be.

You are just another sucked up over the hill soulless Golem no different from the average free shit army volunteer that has long since abandoned Reason therefore cannot divine good from evil any longer if you ever could due to your misplaced bias and well deserved self hatred.

So another words, Middy, the cops allowed Trayvon Martin to be shot by proxy. They didn't want to police, so just like everywhere else in America, we get to do their job for them.

I got a convicted felon on video telling me how a sheriff gave him legal advice of how to screw me over.

Why do we even need a government? One that favors felons and thieves over good, decent people. A government with a President who says that a thief could have been his son.

Somehow it's like a kind of Freudian Slip, when Obama said that Trayvon could have been his son. So what are his daughters doing that we don't know about?

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

Yeah, not surprising on MSNBC.

A lot of protesting going on nationwide but not much violence. They'll get over it in a few days; it's just the cause du jour for the fickle ones who are always looking for any kind of cause in their never ending effort to be noticed.

As soon as Snoop or Beyonce come out with a new video, they will move along to that.

Jim McAllister said...

"We are all Trayvon" is what it said on the chalk line in NY?

midnightsstaff said...

Quite honestly I wouldn't leave my wallet unattended around you.

The first thing you brought up on the subject as to act so morally superior was Jim and Barb's choice not to have kids, keep in mind that rock throwing is never a good idea when living in a glass lean to.

Sheer stupidity... everyone who knows your choice in jailbird mating and overall life example hasn't been exactly convincing to anyone who even marginally knows of your situation.
As to your job situation, you evidently didn't recognize a southbound ice flo for the reality it represented so you remained an unrepentant, unbelieving printer's devil much too long.

Just because no one else will tell you the unvarnished gospel is their problem not mine- I answer to only one authority.

And yes Jorge is the correct spelling of George in Spanish, it's pronounced "or-hey"
whether Zimmmerman the Innocent goes by Jorge or George is a matter of choice- most likely his mother's just like it was for me.

Mike Slater said...

CJ, I did a search on George Zimmerman and I found George Zimmerman. If you would have bothered to follow the trial you would know that he was referred to as a white Hispanic because his mother is Hispanic.

I don't know what political party, if any, he belongs to nor do I care.

I don't have a problem drinking with liberals, in fact, as you may recall, I bought you a beer once.

Jim McAllister said...

Middy,

When I said "Jorge" isn't "George" I was referring specifically to Zimmerman as I have not heard him referred to as "Jorge" although his mother probably calls him that all the time.

You are correct though about "Jorge" being Spanish for "George."

midnightsstaff said...

Best quote I saw this week was one by Dr. Thomas Sowell.

Too bad a true modern day intellectual and free thinker like Dr. Sowell and others has zero chance to be heard over the cacophony of mindless liberal con artists beating the drum and demanding blood sacrifice to the gods of liberalism.

Unknown said...

"'We are all Trayvon' is what it said on the chalk line in NY?"

Yep. We're all delinquents.

I got to thinking about what Middy said Re: Trayvon and the stolen jewelry written up as "found."

All cities try to keep the crime rate down so it is not reported in those statistics for the Best Places to Live in America. In neglecting to report a crime, those cops are in violation of the law and they are the ones who should be held responsible for a guy like Zimmerman having to kill someone in self defense.

Minority racists. Now that's a trick.

Unknown said...

And I got to thinking about what Obama said about Trayvon could be his son.

In 1987, the Black community got riled up over six White men allegedly raping a 15-year-old Black girl in New York. Al Sharpton would later say that she never talked to her, personally. Sharpton said that the lawyers talked to her and they talked to him and he held the press conferences and accused everyone White of racism.

It was a horrible hoax. It never happened. And yet, the Black leaders went along with it.

The New York Times released the video in June. The girl, now a nurse, has never really explained what happened and why she accused six innocent men of rape.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/03/booming/revisiting-the-tawana-brawley-rape-scandal.html?_r=0

Now why should anyone trust Reverend Al Sharpton? A promoter of racism.

midnightsstaff said...

I wonder if the jurist that went on CNN supposedly in disguise really believes that this bunch of commies won't give her personal information to the public if not directly to Eric Holder and the Black Panthers who share the same answering service.

But there is always one that just has to go public with dollar signs in her eyes.

People are playing with fire.

Unknown said...

I've seen the videos of him and people respond to Al Sharpton and he thrives on it. He scares Presidents to the point of paralysis and Sharpton gets what he wants.

Isn't it curious that the New York Times aired that video in June and the Zimmerman verdict came out in July? It's like pre-damage control. Bless them.

Is Al Sharpton really an evil period? News at Eleven!

CJinPhoenix said...

Now I am really laughing. So Middy is afraid now that I will lift his wallet...Funny shit, Mid. I wouldn't want to touch your wallet without gloves & hand sanitizer anyway because I know that at least sometimes you keep it in the same pants with your other junk. And even then it would be just to put it in the trash. Plus bringing up mistakes that I have freely admitted to making well over 30 years ago. You know, you are getting more & more like a crotchety old bitch every day.

Yeah, Mike, I saw where Jorge Zimmerman was called a white hispanic. But all the labels in the world will never change the telltale color of that skin...

Hey, why don't you invite the man to stay at your home. It sure sounds like he could use safe haven right now &, god knows, your house would be one of the very last places on earth where anybody would think to look for a white hispanic 1/2 Peruvian Democrat. We could do the Elk's Club together some night. I wouldn't mind talking to him myself.

All these protesters demanding that he be prosecuted by the DOJ are getting on my nerves & it is beginning to look like Zimmerman had a right to shoot Travon Martin to me too. If they try to take away our right to defend ourselves with guns now, you will have me completely in your corner without question.

Finishing up another video project, but Lana needs to approve this one. "Angels in Disguise."

It will be released this week and features a story of volunteers tearing down one mobile home to improve another mobile home for an under-employed woman to live in. The soundtrack is by Edgel Groves Sr. and the song of the same name.

Edgel Groves Sr. asked me to make a video of people helping people, who have been helped themselves. This is NOT a scripted story and was shot in ONE day with a budget of ZERO dollars.

I look for this one to go viral.

Edward Snowden has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/edward-snowden-nobel-peace-prize-94158.html

On July 13, 2012, The (UK) Examiner reported that the FBI concluded that George Zimmerman is not a racist.

The FBI had acted independently to determine if Trayvon Martin's civil rights had been violated in 2012.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/07/13/fbi-george-zimmerman-is-not-a-racist/

Now, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder wants the FBI to investigate George Zimmerman for a SECOND TIME!

So enough evidence supports the conclusion that Eric Holder is in fact acting on behalf of Islam and may even be a racist.

If the Department of Justice presides over the FBI and IRS, then it suggests that Eric Holder has violated thousands of Americans' privacy.

Now the House Republicans have their evidence for impeachment, but they won't use it. Not if they're in on this transition to a socialist or communist country.

So that only leaves people with money to hire attorneys to bring Eric Holder and Barack Obama to justice, if they go after George Zimmerman and violate his civil rights with Double Jeopardy.

Unknown said...

I took the liberty of writing to my Republican Congresswoman to ask for an independent investigation of Eric Holder and President Obama into the civil rights violations of the American people.

http://www.sacbee.com/2013/07/07/5549696/female-inmates-sterilized-in-california.html

The comments are interesting, this is the first time I have ever read support for the actions of the Calif. Dept. of Corrections.
Well, Eric Holder is too busy elsewhere to step in while the state is breaking the law as defined under the Skinner vs. Oklahoma decision that had made eugenics illegal since the mid forties.
just inmates eh, and who cares about the Constitutionally guaranteed or any Natural Law rights of inmates.
Justice Douglas wrote a brilliant opinion on the subject of Skinner vs. Oklahoma.

"The power to sterilize, if exercised, may have subtle, far-reaching and devastating effects. In evil or reckless hands it can cause races or types which are inimical to the dominant group to wither and disappear. There is no redemption for the individual whom the law touches. Any experiment which the State conducts is to his irreparable injury. He is forever deprived of a basic liberty. We mention these matters not to reexamine the scope of the police power of the States. We advert to them merely in emphasis of our view that strict scrutiny of the classification which a State makes in a sterilization law is essential, lest unwittingly, or otherwise, invidious discriminations are made against groups or types of individuals in violation of the constitutional guaranty of just and equal laws".

I think an honest account of history will see Eric Snowden in much the same way we remember Patrick Henry who was condemned by the crown for his public statement..
“Caesar had his Brutus; Charles the First his Cromwell; and George the Third—" (Interrupted by cries of "Treason! Treason!") "George the Third may profit by their example. If this be treason, make the most of it."
..yes he also had a price on his head by a prior tyrannical government.

"Invidious discriminations"- interesting perception the good judge had concerning the human rights of the great unwashed, a concept evidently of little profit for the Indians.
But to be fair Indians were considered neither human or property by the government at one time, sort of how California looks at inmates now.
