I think the Republicans made a mistake trying to defund
Obamacare. I admire Senator Cruz for
trying but he was basically whistling in Dixie.
However, Cruz is an overt guy who hates the new healthcare law and he
did his best.
Now, the Republicans are backed into a corner where if the
government shuts down and Obamacare is stopped they will be accused by millions
of people of throwing grandma over the cliff.
They would have been better off to sit back and let the monster come
into effect on October 1st and enjoy the last laugh when it fails miserably. There is always a certain pleasure in saying,
“I told you so!”
As of this writing (Sunday afternoon), the Republicans
returned to the Capitol today for more discussions but the Dems failed to
appear. They are a confident bunch with
Harry Reid shooting his mouth off and Obama using immature expressions like “Knock
it off” to the Republicans but I think the R’s will have the last laugh if this
nightmare goes into effect as scheduled.
I enjoyed Obama’s most recent comment when he admitted that “We
had to tax some things” to gain funds for the program. Surely he isn’t naive enough to think the
American people didn’t know that and are going to love this thing. The polls show that the public dislikes it
more every day. Then there are those who
have to now work part time because of their company’s disengagement from the
law. Can they afford the new insurance?
Never underestimate the government though as they try to
work the numbers to show a silver lining:
June employment figures showed an increase of 120,000 jobs. Wow, that’s impressive except when you read
between the lines and see where 360,000 new part time jobs occurred while
240,000 full time jobs disappeared, hence, showing an increase of 120,000 jobs. Unfortunately those are part time jobs. Ya gotta love the government and their math!
Another situation that I haven’t heard discussed is, what
about the people in the poor sections of big cities and elsewhere who have
never had health care? Many of them have
probably been going to the emergency room or free clinics for the little
medical care they even bother with. Are
they now expected to come flowing out of the ghettos in Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit
and other large cities with a bunch of money to buy health insurance?
I don’t care what Obama and his cronies say; studies show that this is an expensive boondoggle for most people. Good health insurance isn't cheap so read the fine print before you sign up at a low cost. On
top of that, those who DON’T buy the insurance will be fined. How would you like to be the guy who walks
into South Chicago and tries to collect fines for not buying health insurance? Even with government subsidies I smell
scofflaws!

For the most part you have hit the nail on the head. Obamacare is doomed and its installation, application and administration are aptly described as a ‘train wreck’ in the making.
Incredibly, most people still do not realize that this is a pale attempt to copy the success of Social Security.
However, unlike SS which depended on a major portion of those covered not to live to collect, thereby creating a growing surplus, this nightmare is stealing over a 10 year period from those who are covered by Medicare. It’s the only way it could even come close to functioning.
Should they manage to get it up and going, however, I predict that in about 5-7 years those now covered by Medicare and Medicaid will sadly wake up one morning to find that they have been defrauded by the Obama administration.
In reality this purported system as being proposed is nothing more than a - Socialist Wet Dream.
Allen Duffis
You're right on 'TARGET' Jimmy Mac...unknown days ahead for the majority of Americans...but to me, the greatest Congressional & Presidential misstep is 'EXCLUDING' themselves from having to participate in OBAMACARE.
How can you be for something you don't want to be in yourself...using the letters in the word 'POLITICIANS' those nummies always put themselves between the 'POT' and the 'PAN'.
I think I'll go get another cup of coffee before ObamaCare starts, and then watch the liberal media tell us how great it is.
Guess we are going to have to rework that pledge of allegiance pretty soon, maybe work in the word "banana republic" and get rid of that "one nation indivisible" line of crap.. should be easy enough by now.
Obama and his minions have successfully balkanized the nation; they used the oldest play in the book, class envy.
The stock markets are taking it seriously, ours gapped down 150 points or so at the opening and last night the Japanese market took a big hit.. the European market is similar.
I agree, the Republicommies should have played hardball and let the whole thing blossom- what they should have done is give Obama all the rope he needs and sent back a bill for him to sign with all waivers eliminated- just as the law was written.
Let him veto everything or cut the wavers.. which would be a simple, effective tactic but the Republicans are in on the deal so they played their part in the theater.
I guess calling this a banana republic would be silly, after all we don't actually have any bananas to sell.
Obviously Republicans need someone to save them from themselves?
Once again, they ran head long into the same old trap and have already been type cast as evil, greedy boogieman, willing to do anything and everything, even ruin the nation, just to stop the historic first black President from succeeding at anything....
As Jim said, it would have been better to let what is in fact "THE LAW OF THE LAND", (one that's been upheld by the Supreme Court) take effect, then remind people as every new boondoggle surfaces that Rep's were the ones who did everything possible to prevent this disaster from happening....
They (Reps) never seem to learn from past mistakes, I doubt if Democrats (and the MSM), opening yet another can of political whoop-ass tomorrow will do anything to educate...
(BTW, this latest can of whoop-ass is going to be the size of the ones from Costco)(B-I-G)
Allen,
I agree and even O's buddy Warren Buffet has said that the whole thing should be scrapped and started over.
You start screwing with Medicare and it affects you and me along with all the others in our age group.
The Republicans messed up a good chance to be the heroes in this but that is typical of them.
Dave,
It's a combination of funny and stupid the way we are supposedly brainwashed to get on Obamacare then the Congress says, "Uh, no thanks, we have our own plan."
Hypocrites of the highest order. Tomorrow is going to really be something unless some sort of agreement is reached today and I don't see that happening.
Jim, I agree with you on this one. While I believe Obamacare is a HUGE mistake (tax) forced on American citizens, the way the Republicans are handling it is a disaster for the party.
I also think Obamacare will fail miserably but I'm willing to bet that, like Social Security and income taxes, ObamacareTax will become a paycheck deduction (it's a tax, right? what's stopping the fed government from garnishing wages?). And, like Social Security, those of us able/forced to pay will pay the price of those who don't/can't pay.
This notion that we have millions of citizens not covered by health care (not the insurance, but the care) is the most ridiculous part of the Democrats' argument. No one is turned away - legal citizen or not. And this system will simply continue. There is no way the fines can or will be enforced. So our costs/taxes go up, and we continue to subsidize the uninsured but with an even bigger premium.
Obama's signature piece of legislation isn't nearly as devastating to our nation as his 8-year term.
Middy,
This looks like it will be the nightmare we envisioned. The dems should just cough up another year on this thing then dump it completely.
It's just another way to lower the bar on the wealthy and successful and give it to the scofflaws.
Let's see now: All those people going on part time will need a second job to make ends meet. Wow! That should solve the unemployment problem. Of course they will have to buy their own insurance.....hmmmmmmm......
Maybe Michelle has some advice.
Well Jim you and I have long wistfully remembered the local grocery and sundries store that dotted America in the forties and fifties and wished we could recapture that dream.
..well it looks like our dream is being fulfilled.
Have you noticed all the Dollar Stores springing up like mushrooms after the rain?
Walmart has.. and it's a real threat to their business model- they live on the edge of retail instability; what's happening is they are losing the ever growing transportation challenged, tattooed wealthy shopping public that simply hasn't the means to go to Walmart on a daily basis.
It's a treat like we used to see a trip to Sears in Dumas once a month was.. and they dress up for the occasion proof is.... walmartian pics...
PROUD,
As soon as Cruz started his filibuster to defund I figured the Reps blew it again. As always they meant well but need to check their Funk and Wagnalls for the definition of "common sense."
Fortunately, the polls show that O-care is losing popularity every day but the Reps have made it look like they are taking food from children's mouths to live the high life.
Pete Seeger said "When will they ever learn?" Really; when?
A smart move would to be for Walmart to in league with inner city public transportation offer a free shuttle through the ghettos like airport shuttle to the doors of Wallyworld.. have a regular bus schedule and problem solved..
Of course there would be issues like holdups, gambling and shootings on the shuttle but what better a combination of corporate and government entities serving the public at a small cost to the taxpaying public..
Include the funding in a light rail transport bond, no one will know the difference.
..see, all we need to do is embrace the beast.
God, I can't believe I actually thought that up.. I must becoming immersed in the thinking of the left myself.
Now to declare the suicidal newspaper industry a guaranteed right under the first amendment and bail out big news starting with the Old Gray Whore itself..
duxoup
Has anyone noticed that those promoting this new law concentrate on the low premiums - especially for the "bronze" plan?
Yet none of the "Hucksters" bother to mention the crushing annual deductibles that accompany these plans. The insured, for the bronze, will have to pay (in addition to the premiums) over $5000 each year before one cent is paid in claims by the plan!!
These promoters are "cons"
Of course you Larry of all people would see that as something negative..
..for instance I along with a lot of my friends are going for the lead and brass plan.
I would say something about you being stiff necked but somehow it seems insensitive.
haha..
"The lead and brass plan"
LOL, Middy!!
A,
Exactly. The paycheck tax will appear but I'm sure if Obama was asked today if it will happen, he would say "Absolutely not!"
Right...just like when he said people could keep their own doctor among other things he lied about. Check this out from Todd Starnes.
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/27/president-obama-lied-to-us-told-america-some-real-whoppers-about-obamacare/
yeah.. and I still have a few cans of pre- Fukishima tuna I'm hoarding....
Most people see the problem today as of having Democrats in power, I see the problem as having the RINO Republicans effectively blocking any attempt to send decent people to represent our interests..
Nothing can be done as long as obstructionists like Boehner and Cantor prevent us from removing the cancer Pelosi and Reid represent.
When honest people are occasionally elected they are opposed in Washington not by Democrats but by the establishment Rockerfeller wing of the new Whig party.
The status quo will be reestablished by the end of the week and once again the volume less equity dance can resume and the bag holders once again encouraged to enter from the sidelines.
"Men go mad in herds and only come to their sense slowly, and one by one"... Charles MacKay
Hahaha.. just noticed that Rush finally figured out the strategy we have been talking about.. making Obama choose either eliminate the exemptions or close down the government..
Rush is such a Republican...lol..
Middy,
There does seem to be a lot more dollar stores now. Who ever thought Walmart would be a prestigious place?
I buy my reading glasses at a dollar store all the time; three or four pairs at a time.
Speaking of tatoos, I wonder if Obamacare covers any illnesses from dirty needles used by unscrupulous "artists."
I remember what a big deal that weekly trip was to the Sears or Monkey Ward store when I was stationed in rural Missouri.
Whole families would tool into towns like Sedalia, Missouri in the pickup truck to see what was new at the local Sears and pick up some feed, oil, a new shirt or jeans, and a couple of peppermint sticks for the kids.
Remember when every outhouse had a Sears or Monkey Ward catalog in the outhouse. You would read a page them tear it our for more important business.
Obama has just blinked...
.." Obama says everyone must sit down and negotiate in good faith, can't have talks under risk of potential us debt default.
Obama says he is not resigned to a gvt. shutdown taking place.
Obama says us dollar is reserve currency of the world, "we don't mess with that Obama says expects to speak to congressional leaders monday, tues, - everything after that is WTF.. etc".. (so far Nancy Pelosi has not blinked)..haha..
Looks like he has figured out he has painted himself into a box if the turds in Congress blow this up.
Larry,
That's exactly what I have been thinking: "What about deductibles on these plans?"
The Obama lovers are going to get a rude awakening on this. The fools think "Wow! Only $139 a month and I have health insurance." Sorry Leroy, read the fine print. Oh, yes, there is always the fine print.
A perfect example of the old saying "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."
The "lead and brass plan?" LOL, so true.
Let's not forget the "tin plan."
And so it begins: glitches and more glitches expected.

I wish TheHotChick would give us an update from the chewing gum littered sidewalks of Phoenix, must be tough re inventing oneself while dealing with this kind of a circus at the same time trying to save for retirement..
-multiply that one example times a nation..
..when the SNAP cards zero out that will be end game and everyone had better have something with a high capacity mag or be prepared to be burned out.
Fire seems to be the rioters go-to weapon.
Some retirement eh?
There's more: this is a good one. Not exactly a positive attitude:

Middy,
To paraphrase "Jaws":
I think we need a bigger gun!
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my kids will still be considered "children" until they are 26 (according to Obamacare). Sigh.....and here I was hoping they'd be on their own, working, successful, maybe starting a family of their own. Obama - thanks a lot for lowering expectations of parents every where.
Your commentary is right on. Now for the Baucus promised "Trainwreck."
Jim Johnson
@A.. the Democrats did more permanent damage to the black family unit in 1965 than the KKK has in a hundred and fifty years..
Actually there is little difference between the Klan and the modern Democrat.. or the historical Democrat party for that matter.. yet ninety percent of the black voters fall right in building their own gallows..
a successful black (or white for that matter) middle class is an anathema to the central planners.
Sadly true genius like Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell have no voice in matters today- and we can blame the media for that.
.." By making a futile and foredoomed attempt to defund ObamaCare, Congressional Republicans have created the distraction that Obama so much needs. Already media attention has shifted to the possibility of a government shutdown.
Politically, it doesn't matter that the Republicans are not really trying to shut down the government. What matters is that this distraction solves Barack Obama's political problems that he could not possibly have solved by himself"... T. Sowell

I enjoy reading Thomas's thoughts, he simply is never fooled because he is an honest man..
America has turned into a landlocked pirate ship.
whoever thought they could leave a brass bell at the Sandy Hook shooting site unguarded had to have rocks in their head..
It's probably at the same place the Detroit sewer covers ended up.. at the scrap yard.
I would buy one of those bad boys for the front yard just for fun but the shipping at ebay is too steep.
You take a chance leaving a door mat outside at night in most of the US.- a garden hose is out of the question.
Middy, Obama is either the craftiest politician or the most incredibly lucky. I'm thinking incredibly lucky but with the help of the liberal media. Nothing he does stays in the media for very long (if it ever gets there). And so far every gaffe has been outdone by some "breaking news" story (Look over there! it's a lot of rain and flooding!) And social media is just as bad. Conservative pages get banned or blocked from Facebook all the time.
Truth be told, it's not entirely the fault of the Republican Party....we need an overhaul of the media...and soon.
Jim, Letting Obamacare go into effect will show people what a train wreak it is but like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other huge government programs once in place they will never go away.
I blame that SOB Chief Justice John Roberts for calling Obamacare a tax more importantly I blame the dumb ass voters in this country that voted for Obama and the Democrats.
.."The problem isn't that Johnny can't read.
The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think.
The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling"..
..a brilliant point offered by a brilliant mind..
My take @A is that the individuals in the Rep. party are somewhat compromised and leveraged against, rendering them paralyzed- the longer they stay in Washington District of Corruption the more evidence of embarrassing or outright criminal behavior finds it's way into the hands of those who value information more than gold.
eg. John Roberts and his rather mild adoption faux pas that led to The Abomination which led to Scalia informing us to not look to the Judicial branch to correct the sins of the Legislative.
I have been a long time Republican, I first voted in 68 and for the most part have been sorely disappointed in the direction of the party; that said, there is no use in pointing out the hypocrisy of the left, it's their default.
But the Republican party used to stand for something that differentiated itself from the party of the little guy.
No longer.
The real battle is not with the Republicans but the Tea Party.. Obama wants it destroyed once and for all.
Or, maybe I am just crazy- sometimes it's just a coin flip.
.."The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.
It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills.
It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies.
Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is “trillion” with a “T.”
That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers.
And over the next 5 years, between now and 2011, the President’s budget will increase the debt by almost another $3.5 trillion.
Numbers that large are sometimes hard to understand. Some people may wonder why they matter. Here is why:
This year, the Federal Government will spend $220 billion on interest.
That is more money to pay interest on our national debt than we’ll spend on Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. That is more money to pay interest on our debt this year than we will spend on education, homeland security, transportation, and veterans benefits combined.
It is more money in one year than we are likely to spend to rebuild the devastated gulf coast in a way that honors the best of America.
And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the Federal budget.
This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.
Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities"..
BO -2006 ..**chuckle**...
..and the Republicans can't point that out??
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/359829/kevin-mccarthy-house-will-send-third-volley-senate-if-reid-rejects-last-nights-bill
bet the farm on the Republipukes caving in.. they have already hoisted the French rally flag.
I for one, am not for a government shutdown.
If they're just going to start back up again!
Is it just me?, or does Bob Woodward keep going against his Democrat leanings and getting himself in trouble with the Obama administration?
http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2013/09/30/woodward-if-obama-wont-negotiate-any-resulting-crisis-is-on-his-head-n1713248
Still, kinda nice to see.
Looks like their packin' it in- and here we all are still waiting for the white smoke..
I might just sleep under the bed tonight if the government is not going to be there to protect me after midnight.. long time from midnight to morning- anything could happen, Obama said so..
Well that's all folks.. guess I'm turning the lights off for safety immediately and not answering the door.
Our leaders have let us down.
I'm instructing the cat to stay away from the windows and not to draw any attention from terrorist sleeper cells that might have been just waiting for this moment to srike when our guard is down; or parachuting mexicans finally finding the courage to storm the border like we did at Normandy..
I think the street lights just flickered...good thing I still have that case of Y2K freeze dried haggis and a whole crate of G I beans with weenies left- also a case of pretty good screwtop so I can weather this one out- the cat on the other hand is on her own.
I mean how long can the end of the world take??
I am totally on the fence about this issue. On the one hand, something had to be done. And it is not like the Republicans were doing a damned thing about it. But, on the other hand, I truly believe that our system of allowing insurance companies to run the dispensation of medical services is exactly what ruined the medical profession to begin with & now look what we have ... The same on steroids. And it is mandatory. If that's the best we can do, god help us all.
I actually hate the idea of mandatory health insurance. Please somebody tell me that there's a better way & be specific & I will write that proposal. Just do not say more of the same because then I will call bull. BTW, despite all those times you guys have put words in my mouth, I rarely ever use the word "hate" because I don't hate very often. But I hate this. I do. I just do not have a better plan.
And for the record, I am actually benefiting from this shitty plan such as it is. Yep, I have never made up all the income I lost while GWB was in office & I now qualify for AHCCCS ... Thanks, Jan! But this isn't all about me, is it? I still know the difference between right & wrong & this whole country is on the WRONG path. Me? I am just doing what I need to do to live right now.
I do know for a fact that this idea is false tho: "Many of them have probably been going to the emergency room or free clinics for the little medical care they even bother with. Are they now expected to come flowing out of the ghettos in Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit and other large cities with a bunch of money to buy health insurance?" This is how it works, Jim. The poor & the underemployed have "insurance" coverage similar to yours these days. Your doctor may even accept AHCCCS patients.
You do realize this was not a direct vote on Obama care don't you?- the law is in effect no matter what happened today, this was a deadline for another extension of the continuing resolution because the White House has been unable to pass a budget since he has been in office.
It only affects the power to borrow money, we still have taxes being paid and nothing essential will be affected- that is unless the president wants to make it as painful on the people as possible.. but what are the chances of that happening?
So we have to go through this fiasco every so often as not to place undo demands on our elected officials like saying no to offered bribes for legislation and continuing to rob the citizens for the ruling class banksters.
This isn't the end of anything Cj, this is just the preamble to the opening scene in a very depressing play.. it's all part of the new normal.
..and you are right, it's all about survival from now on out it's just most people haven't faced that fact yet.
What a week....
Watched the final episode of "Breaking Bad", Sunday night...
Then...the final episode of, "The Federal Government" on Monday night...
Can't wait to see what happens on "Storage Wars" tonight!
Haha.. yeah looks like the whole thing is getting surreal.
fortunately the sun did rise and the birds are still flying, I just wonder who put the gun to cryin' John's head and prevented him from caving in to anything zerO wants.
Guess there is no sense in my harassing the IRS this morning- they are probably closed..
I was going to call them and demand clarification of entries on my 2004 taxes as sort of a preemptive first strike... looks like I'll have to wait a few weeks for them to regroup eh??
When ever I need a little cheer up I watch this clip..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKqGefSxFyc
..proves that with poor timing you can pretty much screw anything up.
Watching MSM coverage of the Obama-Care roll out....
Can't help wondering just who in the hell believes that citizens of the ghetto's, who currently use E/R services and never pay a dime, are going to walk out into the light and pony up $60-120 per month premiums...
Then pay their own $5 -10K deductible,(which are required to get the premiums that low)...
Oh yeah, touchy feely, liberals that's who!
If something sounds too good to be true....It probably...well you know!
The only downside is eventually they will get the monster up and running again.
..meanwhile at the insane asylum the inmates are frothing at the mouth.. this from the HPost..
.."The Republicans and Tea Baggers are living proof that the Koch Brothers do dictate what is best for our nation! The Koch Brothers have finally rammed it up our asses and Sen. Cruz held back the K-Y! We must demand that the entire Republican Party and those seditionist Baggers be impeached! Google who are their primary political donors which points directly to the Koch Financed Super PACs!"..
and..
.."OK GOP, we get it, OK....You never want to win a national election again!
We get it"..
Yeah, they aren't taking having the bully tactics not working like it used to..
Jim
I read your blog. As you said, I have thought many times what a horrible mistake, or deed, that Judge Roberts did in changing the wording of the ACA so he could say it was Constitutional.
Just on principle, I think that the House, that votes on government spending, should try to defund, rather than let the wretched bill go into effect. If they didn't try, it would like they were in favor of it, or didn't care
The government has "shut down" 17 times in the past 19 years!
Joy Wiseman
Hi Joy,
I've always thought that there was something behind Roberts' decision that we don't know about. Maybe they had photos of him with some 22 year old girl at an office Christmas party! LOL Not really, but something seems rotten in Denmark behind his decision. We're stuck with this mess now and Obama grabbed a big win.
It still may turn into a blessing in disguise for the Republicans as I think it will be a fiasco of the first order. They are heavily depending on the young to buy a lot of insurance to finance the drain taken by older more sickly folks. I don't think the young will line up for coverage if I remember how invincible I thought was in those days. A lot will figure that they are young and healthy so why fork over a couple hundred a month for insurance that could be spent on entertainment? Of course, then they will be fined which will cause disfavor.
It's kind of a coin flip on defunding or letting it defeat itself. The only reason I was against defunding is because everyone would be screaming about grandma getting pushed over the cliff because of the Republicans.
We can only hope that the 2014 elections go our way or the Dems will have the whole Congress like they did when Obamacare passed in the first place. That would be troublesome. Fortunately the polls show Obamacare to be unpopular.
Fun stuff, huh?
Mike,
Middy and I have discussed the Roberts decision and both agree that they had to have something on the SOB for that decision.
It was totally unexpected. Most of us had our chickens counted on that one.
I wonder how he is living with what has to be on his conscience.
John Roberts broke Irish adoption law.. Obama just reminded him that he was a law breaker..
Irish law 1) prohibits the adoption of Children to non-residents, and 2) also does not permit private adoptions, but rather has all adoptions go through a public agency.

NSA doesn't care what you do, they are looking for evidence to control- I mean blackmail their opposition.
Pevie,
Woodward has been moving to the right for a while now.
Freeze deied haggis? LOL Yum! Are those beenie wienies in an OD can?
As I already mentioned, the indigent & the underemployed -- those below the poverty line anyway -- are not expected to "pony up" premiums or deductibles. In the State of AZ, they're on AHCCCS -- Medicare -- which acts like insurance coverage except that one doesn't pay a premium for the coverage. The only time people were using emergency rooms in AZ for what should have been basic medical services, but then rose to the level of an emergency, is when Jan Brewer cut the childless, low income people from AHCCCS. But that practice ended sometime within the past two years.
CJ, Middy.
I'm waiting to see who is brave enough to collect those fines in the ghettos.
There is no way those people are going to buy health insurance. They have never had it and never will.
Proud,
I'm with you only I'm on pins and needles to see HGTV tonight for the decisions of whether to "Love it or list it."
PROUD,
That's what i have been laughing about WITH BARB. Obama never talks about the deductibles. Wait until some dumbass walks in for treatment with his $150 policy and discovers thaT LITTLE ITEM.
I can just hear the dummies: "Hell, nobody told me about that!"
Duh!
Cj,
I think AHCCCS is Medicade, not Medicare.
So by going along with the program and having the Arizona taxpayers to foot the bill for indigents Jan has pretty much insured that there will be a marked move from insured to uninsured and by 2017 the funding will be bankrupt- does that make sense?
..Is the phrase "no such thing as a free lunch" a new and foreign concept?
Jan is no responsible person's friend, ask her why she vetoed the bill making hospitals post their procedure costs..
Ask her if she has taken campaign contributions from the hospital lobby?
.."SB1115 would have required health care providers to make public a list of costs for their 25 most commonly provided services, and would have required health care facilities to make publicly available their prices for their 50 most common outpatient service codes and group codes. Sen. Nancy Barto, who sponsored the measure, said it was intended to create transparency in health care costs.
Brewer said she supports price transparency, but that the bill had numerous problems. In her veto letter, Brewer said the bill’s definition of “health care facility” is overly broad and would include facilities that don’t serve the general public and might not charge cash prices for their services. Such facilities include Veterans Administration facilities, health care facilities on military bases, tribal facilities and the Arizona State Hospital"..

What she has done is give cover for Obama at the same time putting the responsible people of Arizona on the hook for the whole load of indigents.
Get ready for the new immigrants coming up from Mexico as soon as they can sell out our immigration law.
If anyone actually believes those immigrants will not be given full benefits after watching the antics the past month in Washington then they are too stupid to discuss the issue with.

You can tell this one hurt by the petulant three year old style of ranting ZerO went into today...
Regggggiiiiieeee!!
I love that scene with Keir Dullea
Jim, I really think the teeming masses thought they were just going to get free healthcare just like in the military.
What do you make of the angle that the Reps tried to save Obamacare by putting it on the back burner for another year along with a blank check and the idiots in the What me house not taking that gift horse and the money and running with it.
They could have then ran next year with a totally dejected conservative wing staying home again with no back draft from this mess Obama care is guaranteed to be in the next elections; all along the lofo voters blithely hypnotized for another year as to it's individually mandated personal cost just ginned up mad because the Republicans wouldn't let them have free health care for a whole year... it was truly a gift horse.
..additionally after the election they could have blamed it's failing on the party of stupid for meddling.. talk about Wiley snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!..
I don't get it- this one wasn't the Acme companies fault, the roller skates and rocket pack worked just fine.
I can't believe they didn't take it, I guess they thought they could run the table.
What they did was they took their eye off the prize and focused instead on humiliating and finally breaking the back of the tea party and in doing so lost the issue- he truly is a dangerous amateur.
Putin must have laughed up a lung.
CJ, I agree with you on insurance companies. When I retired in 2002 the phone company had United Health care. It didn't cost me anything and paid for almost any thing. Today I pay $398 a month with a $3,000 deductible and United Health Care only pays a portion of things they used to cover fully.
I don't know what the answer is but I do know government isn't the answer.
Jim, please tell me you were just kidding about watching HGTV's "Love it or list it." I hate that show with a passion.
Deb loves the show and since we don't have a TV in the bedroom I have her tape it so she can watch it after I go to bed.
Before the gvt. got involved we paid for our own health care and it didn't break us..
We still pay for our car insurance and it's premiums don't double every five years ..so what is the difference?
Middy,
Jim, I really think the teeming masses thought they were just going to get free healthcare just like in the military.
I agree, all these clowns are saying they will get it free or damn cheap. I guess they never heard of deductibles.
If they pay a couple hundred a month i hope they expect about a $1,000 to $2,000 deductible. Goddam libs always living in a world devoid of reality.
It surprised me too that they didn't want the extra year. Hell, they gave it to big companies, why not everyone? The only reason I can think of is that they knew most people would write it off as a failure if they did business and individuals. They had to get it rolling before everyone one said "screw it."
I agree on Putin. Now he REALLY knows what a stupid loser obama is.
Mike, We pay for regular Medicare and for a supplemental policy from AARP to cover the 20% Medicare doesn't cover. Costs about $500.
Yes, I am a regular watching "Love it ot list it." I'm in love with Hilary Farr. She is quite a looker for 60! LOL
There is another version called "Love it or list it, too" with a younger couple. It's OK but I like to look at Hillary and listen to that English accent. She even had a part in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" in 1975.
So far,(and it's only day 1) my wife's BC/BS went up $60. per month and my plan "D" drug policy doubled.
Those are the only bills that came today, tomorrow's another day of Hope n Change!
Don't go to the mailbox.. I heard you have to read it to find out what's in it..
Whoops... I mean you have to pass it to find out what's inside of it... how could I have missed that?
Not sure anyone saw this but it's funny as well as typical for dealing with the government...(begin we're sorry announcement here)
Watch as MSNBC tries in vain to show their viewers how easy it is to sign up for Obama Care...(resume music on hold here)
http://obamacosts.gop.com/video/msnbc-forced-abandon-obamacare-exchange-demonstration-glitches/
(play laugh track HERE)
I read it, and I don't like it...
(where's that bottle of Crown Royal?)
Calling it in early?- yeah been a tough one with all the hoopla-
Jim I really don't know what the changes to medicare are going to look like, supposedly it was to be left alone but they had to rip nearly a trillion out of medicare to float this mess.
I have no clue as to where things for me will end up, like I said I don't like trips to the mail box anymore.
I do know one thing, the retail economy is on life support, container shipping is at an all time low and right before you know what.
Japanese market is bipolar tonight, it shot up and then dropped like a stone, no one watching the inmates so there will be a free for all on the stock market with govt. oversight home watching porn instead of at work watching porn.. but what difference has it made anyway?
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/30/us-employers-slash-hours-avoid-obamacare
.."Avita Samuels has worked at the Mall of America in Minneapolis for the last four years, juggling a sales job with her studies in political science and law at the University of Minnesota. The 24-year-old has been the top sales associate for the last three years and works between 29 and 35 hours a week. But over the past few months, she said, she has watched as friends working in stores around her have their hours and benefits slashed – and she's worried that she will be next"..
Hey I'm not making this stuff up, Obamacare is going to gut the American middle class.
.."It's a really scary situation," said Samuels, who earns $9.25 an hour and is trying to reduce a student loan debt of close to $50,000. She currently receives subsidised healthcare through her university, but it runs out next year, when she had hoped her employer healthcare would kick in.
"Technically, I should be eligible," she said. "But at least 20 stores around me have cut hours. I live paycheck to paycheck. I have credit card debts. It's a balancing act. I'm afraid I won't be able to afford healthcare"..
..this is exactly what all of us said would happen and it's just begun.. good luck all you clueless first and second time voters because the next crisis on deck is going to be student loans- and this one's gonna leave a mark.
Sorry Jimmy but I have to disagree. I don't think Hillary Farr is good looking and I can't stand English accents. I'm not into Canadian accents either. I hear enough of that every time I go to Montana hey.
If I unfortunately happen to be in the living room when that show comes on the first words out of my mouth is LIST IT.
Proud, the Crown Royal is in my cabinet. I only use it for every time Obama or Harry Reid open their mouths. Oops, time to buy another bottle.
Middy, maybe all those heads full of mush young people that voted for Obama are starting to see the light. How's that hope and change working for them now?
I have nothing to do with AARP.. they are a bunch of sell outs.. I have been getting crap in the mail from them for years, but same thing with the Neptune Society.. I don't know how I got on that list.
I had to swear off the good stuff, my kidneys can't take the abuse.. but I do have a nice Belguim every day or two..
yeah, Ive been getting crap from AARP since I was 40 years old.
they promoted Obamacare, and they are pro guncontrol
I wont have anything to do with them either
Steve, Yeah I know on AARP; they are a-holes but I had them when Obama was still running around Kenya in a loin cloth. The actual policy is through United Health Care; I just saw the ad for them through AARP.
Middy, I get the neptune crap too. There must be a master list somewhere that we are on.
Mike, I like those English babes like Hilary.
That show is bullshit phony like all of them but I think its entertaining.
After all, are you going to love it?......or list it? LOL
you could switch to AMAC Jim, they have supplemental Ins. too.
And they are a good conservative organization. Maybe they have a better deal. Worth checking them out.
Middy,
I think that story of the travails of Ms Samuels is going to be repeated a lot.
At the moment the polls show the Republicans as the bad guys which is what I figured would happen but its only about 43-34%.
Once this thing get entrenched, people will start waking up hopefully and realize what a nightmare it is.
How about the WWII vets busting through the closed signs and the barricades today at the WWII Memorial in Washington today?
Good for them.
Jim
Remember that old Chevy dealership I told you about. They had that auction over the weekend.
One of the pickups sold for $140,000
The link has the top 5 selling bids.
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/09/30/one-kind-car-auction-brings-big-bids-to-small-town/
There really is something different about one of those vintage Chevies..
Just think Jim, an investment of ten grand in 1955 could have paid off big time.
What were they selling new for?
1500?- a year old for a grand..
Yep ten nice vintage 55 nomads would bring a tidy profit today..
..but who knew, and who had ten K either for that matter?
You gotta? love the main stream media....
Millions of people out of work for 5 years is just the new normal....
But a small number of federal workers home for 24 hours spells THE END OF TIMES...
What a frkn crock....
Looks like another seasick day for the market.
Don't worry tho, when the fix is in these congress critters will all be on board with their after market trades already down- they want it to crater a bit so as to reap a larger rebound when it does.
Nothing like being able to bet on the same market you are fixing eh?, I guess that wouldn't actually be a bet any more than a doctored horse but we let them get away with it.
When you think about it, being able to legally inside trade because you passed special legislation should piss off the American public to the stage of public hangings, but we seem to not give a shit..
A nation of hand wringing Edith Bunkers is what we have become- now we find out that Cryin'John was trying to sell us out last week and carve out his own Obamacare waivers while lying to the nation about what the meetings were over..
http://www.politico.com/story/2013/10/john-boehner-hill-obamacare-subsidies-97634.html
http://www.businessinsider.com/government-shutdown-obamacare-subsidies-boehner-exempt-2013-10
I guess we will never wake up to the real threat to our nation- it's the enabling Republican Party and the gang of Democrats running it.
Well, that didn't take long....
"An employee of Minnesota’s Obamacare exchange, MNsure, sent an unencrypted file to the wrong person and left 2,400 people’s private information at the mercy of a nearby insurance agent.
One exchange staffer’s simple mistake gave insurance broker Jim Koester access to an Excel document of Social Security numbers, names, addresses and other personal data for whole a list of insurance agents. Luckily for the 2,400, Koester was cooperative — and unnerved.
Forget possible fraud, this is just business as usual, big government ineptitude.....
Why just a month ago we were ready to throw buckets of money at freeing Syria from itself.
This asshole in the What-me?? House was on the verge of lighting up the mideast and probably lighting up cities in America too, but now we can't keep the playgrounds open?
He should be arrested for the dual loyalty traitor he is (Saudi and Kenyan) and dispatched at sunrise along with John McCain and most of the corrupt Congress.
.."Every bluefin tuna tested in the waters off California has shown to be contaminated with radiation that originated in Fukushima. Every single one.
Over a year ago, in May of 2012, the Wall Street Journal reported on a Stanford University study. Daniel Madigan, a marine ecologist who led the study, was quoted as saying, “The tuna packaged it up (the radiation) and brought it across the world’s largest ocean. We were definitely surprised to see it at all and even more surprised to see it in every one we measured”..
http://www.federaljack.com/radioactive-bluefin-tuna-caught-off-california-coast/
So much for the tuna sandwiches.. as usual- buyer beware.
Buzz,
That is nothing short of incredible about those cars. Saving those was a nice investment.
In January of 1967 I drove from Cincinnati to Buffalo, NY in a '63 Chevy just like the red one in the photo. It belonged to my brother and I was using it to go to an Air Force buddy's wedding in Buffalo.
I drove through your hometown of Cleveland with WKYC playing full blast with songs like "I Had Too Much to Dream last Night" by the Electric Prunes.
"You're listening to WKYC Cleveland where you will hear 58 minutes of rock and roll every hour!"
The good old days........
Middy,
Yeah, who woulda thought? It's the same with a lot of things.
There is a red translucent 45 rpm recording of Elvis singing "Blue Christmas" that is worth millions in mint condition in its original jacket. I think it cost about a buck new when it was recorded.
Stories like that abound. Who thought all the stuff we had then would become valuable collectibles?
Proud,
It makes me wonder how we avoid being taken over easily by a guy like Putin. I think he would do it but finds that it is more fun to just keep screwing us around and making Obama look more foolish every day.
Now they are starting all the bleeding heart bullshit about people unable to go to the Grand Canyon, etc. Hell, this nonsense didn't stop the WWII vets from going to the WWII Memorial. They just said "screw it" and knocked down the "keep out" signs. Gotta love those vets!
Got a whole closet full of floppy discs.. someday I'm gonna corner the market.
Tom Clancy.. my age doa.. didn't see that coming.
Middy,
The Reps blew it again, they just can't seem to take advantage of a situation. They will be lucky to win or keep one seat in the House in 2014 unless something accidently goes their way.
....and so it begins.....
Welcome to Obama's America.
A man who attempted to sign up for Obamacare online was told that a fine of over $4,000 dollars a year for refusing to take out mandatory health insurance could be taken directly from his bank account, and that his drivers license would be suspended and a federal tax lien placed against his home, according to an entry on the HealthCare.gov Facebook page.
As I have been saying for months now, there simply isn't enough money in a rapidly shrinking American GDP to fund all these potentates hopes and dreams... they will eventually have to come for property.
This has been about them gaining controlling access to individual wealth from the conception.
They need it so much they bought a lot of hollow point ammo and select fire weapons to enforce the taking of it.
And yes even Cj's property no matter how meager it might seem is already counted on the future receivables side of gvt. assets.
If you have money in a bank account it can be taken, they might apologize but it will be taken.
A lot of people will soon be only able to buy at the govt. store using controlled script, possibly on a govt. reservation called FEMA camps.
Does anyone believe that the US patent office needs armor and military weapons?
Death panels might be considered as the most compassionate aspect of Obamacare very soon.
Despite everyone on our side being right from 2007 these dimwits still drop to their knees at the government alter and call us obstructionists - what's coming serves a lot of them right- death by bureaucracy.
But what would you expect from a monster who likes to kill kids half way round the world with his drones..
he is no better than Charles Manson.
I started getting crap in the mail from AARP when I turned 50. I got feed up with it and sent them a nasty letter and told them I wouldn't have anything to do with a company that supports gun control. No more mail from them.
I have been letting them bleed themselves for years.. they keep spending money on postage,
I keep tossing them unopened in the to-do file.
Yeah, me too. All these years throwing their crap in the trash. pretty funny.
Jim,
I don't think the owner of the dealership even thought about keeping the cars as an investment.
He would have taken care of them, but he just left them abandoned in the building. I mean the roof collapsed on that one rare truck that sold for 140 grand.
the roof was dented and windshield cracked
Copied this from our old friend Dave /Remo's facebook page:

Map shows exactly what my acorns have been saying since the beginning of September(they've been droppin like rain)....The AZ White Mountains are going to be snowy this winter.
Had a 92 yr old neighbor tell me long ago that Ma Nature takes care of her own...lots of acorns means the critters need extra food for a bigger than usual winter...
Consider this my green PSA...
Worst thing about those classics is the wiring.. it rotted out after about ten years or so even back then.. plus the added problems with capacitors, points and plugs, carburetor issues.. anything sitting fifty years is going to need a bit more than a trip to the carwash and an oil change.
..great hobby tho..
Luckily I got all that classic car stuff out of the way before I became a classic myself.
..my wiring needs some work.
BTW and keeping on topic...
I too started receiving mail from the AARP since the age of 50...I joined a week after my B-Day, but mailed my membership card back along with a Mike Slater-esq angry letter telling them I no longer wanted to do business with an organization that was in the tank for the Dem party...
Not sure how they get away with their elderly organization status when they are most obviously an insurance carrier and derive almost all their income from royalties paid by insurance companies...?
Guess their close ties to this admin. will prohibit Eric the great from looking into that obvious conflict of interest...
Buzz,
I meant an investment for someone else other than that guy Lambrecht. He must be senile or nuts, they say he is 96 but he was younger when he closed the place. I don't see what his point was.
It's amazing what people will pay for those old mint cars after they are cleaned up. A '63 Chevy with $3,200 sticker for $100,000? Wow!
PROUD,
Good old Screamin' Remo the cop. Good man, one of my first bloggers in 2006 on the old AZ central blogs.
It's too bad those blogs left; we had some fun there but the Rep didn't like the foul mouth squabbling. Hell, that's all most blogs are. Check out Google+; I'm over there occasionally and they go at it pretty good. Mostly goddam liberals mouthing off like those clowns we had before like Downtowner, Vosotros, and AZ Liberal.
Middy,
When I think of those old cars I think of three things: points, plugs, and condenser.
Remember adjusting the brakes by slipping that bar into the notch on the inside of the wheel and working it up and down?
Once you explain why the old folks keep falling for that line maybe you can tell me why the Jews vote to load their own ovens every four years..
Not a lot makes sense.
.."Republicans criticized Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) for dismissing the idea of funding programs that help sick children. When asked if he would support NIH funding to help even one child with cancer, Reid said "Why would we want to do that?"
..Give em hell Harry..
..the theater continues.. evidently this afternoon meeting of Mensas didn't go well- they circled a few times, sniffing each other except for Nancy's stinky butt (nobody sniffs that cadaver up) and called it a day.
..surprised with it being near happy hour it didn't degenerate into just
another drunken brawl..
Jim,
they have conversion kits for those old distributors. you just put in an electronic module and a new rotor. No points or condenser.
I had that setup in my el Camino. Never a problem.
I heard what that asshole Reid said today.
But its the republicans who are evil and don't care about the children.
Every day he's calling American citizens extremists, terrorists and anarchists if we don't agree with him.
He could have ran Boris Karloff off the set as far as type cast evil villains go.. He looks like he sold, make that gave his soul to Satan eons ago, the whole liberal tribe looks like the bar scene..
Nancy Pelosi eats live mice...
.."Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thought nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away."
Anonymous, Shoshone Indians
I bet Dr. Sowell would agree with this sage thought; I share that very vision but mine is when this body has outlived it's usefulness.
If the Shoshone were still around they probably would agree with me..
And with the IRS now my go to hotline for health care that day probably will be sooner than I expected.
I gotta hand it toThe Arizona State Board of Sunsets and Evenings, now that the flies have died off and the cow shit smell is gone days on the frontier side couldn't be better..
Just imagine right about now starting to smell the coal oil heaters in Northern Indiana..
haha. I have a buddy who retired and went to mid Pennsylvania..
WTF??
I wonder if he will make the entire winter..
nothing like slush and the occasional ice storm power outage to make you appreciate Arizona winters.
Not to dominate the conversation buuuuuttt... I have been noticing a few commercial projects including tilt ups and such going on.. I can only hope the economy has just said screw it, we aren't waiting for government.. anyway it's a lot better than just a year ago.- I hope these idiots don't actually blow up the chemistry lab playing around.
I was watching on Fox when they came out of their meeting with Nobama.
Boehner had about two sentences and walked off but, of course, Harry and Pelosi had plenty to say.
I'm sure that dried up piece of shit Harry will remember making one of the dumbest of many dumb remarks he has ever made when he told Dana Bash he wasn't worried about a child with cancer. I'm sure the 11:00 news is salivating over showing that.
Give 'em hell, harry!
What a circus.
Buzz,
That's nice that they have those kits. Sure makes it easier.
Reid is a total piece of shit before that statement. Now he has reinforced it. We can go to bed smiling tonight. I love to see guys like that get nailed.
Middy,
I wish Sowell wasn't 83 years old.
Yeah, we can coast a bit now with the weather until about April
Interesting tidbit:
Thousands are logging on to check out O=Care but not many buyers.
Read this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2442115/EXCLUSIVE-Less-1-cent-Web-visitors-signing-Obamacare-state-health-exchange-websites.html
Jim, The good ol days aren't completely gone,... Remo, Desert Ghost, Stealth, Thomas Moore, and a host of us from AZC are still highlighting liberal assholerie daily on F/B...
Of course no one was able to sign up in Louisiana and few in most states yesterday Jim, that was because the Republicans are engaging in dirty tricks to prevent honest Americans from finally getting their free healthcare.
Besides they only had three and a half years to prepare.
My haircut expert yesterday told me she didn't have to sign up because her husband was a four year veteran of the US Army and she doesn't get enough hours to qualify.
Yes.. she actually told me that.
I was in the middle of a haircut so wisely I just agreed with her.. she will figure it out eventually, besides... why should I wreck her perfectly good day.
The real reason nothing was ready is because Obama took that start up money from Medicare and gave it to his ACORN volunteers and teachers unions to create a guidance program which was promptly used for campaigning last year and as a result the core administrators have had a two week course on signing people up, their assistants who were hired last week still have another week of training to do..
(BE SURE TO VOTE IN THE UPCOMING SCHOOL BOND ELECTION)
Yes.. someone who was just last month part of the long time unemployed or out on strike over min. wages is now guiding people through setting up the most important filing in their economic life- something insurance agents waste years going to college (sometimes as linemen on the football team) to master.
I have always loved to listen to the discussions in America's barber shops to get a feel on the direction of the nation- it's the true pulse of a nation.. the conversation quickly changed to some new tv show coming out..
Ain't 'Merica great!!
Proud,
Good to hear you guys are still conversing on Facebook. I miss that crew.
Middy,
I am anxiously awaiting for the word "deductible" to rear its ugly head on all these dumb basses who think they are going to get a smoking deal on health care.
Google+ is full of these fools. I'm laughing at them.
Middy,
The dumb asses are ruling on all this. The Republicans have botched it so bad that millions are convinced that they want to let everyone die.
You ought to read some of the comments on Google+. Misinformed idiots who are actually allowed to vote.
I think the Reps are dead in 2014. Too many people look at them as rich guys who just want to steal from the poor. They'll never overcome that image. Obama is their hero and can do no wrong.
"Statistics worsened in the important 18 to 29 age bracket. Sixty-nine percent of the youth demographic were unaware they were required to get health insurance by January 1, 2014. This is the age group that Obama is hoping will foot the bill for the rest of America.
In other bad news for Obamacare, 62 percent said they were "not too familiar" or "not at all familiar" with the Obamacare exchanges being set up by the federal and state governments.
Such unfamiliarity grew among those currently uninsured today. Among the uninsured 72 percent said that are not familiar with the exchanges Obama is setting up.
Gallup also found that knowledge of all aspects of Obamacare was quite low for those in the youth demographic."
well that's a shock but I'm sure that once they realize that their participation is crucial for the maintaining of other's (read older peoples) health needs they will be on board..
..either that or they will blame old people (eg Cj) and refuse to participate setting up a nation of youth hating the elderly- death panels anyone?
It's almost like that was the original intent to a cynical observer..
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f1d_1380635052
Better watch this one quick, they are taking it down on the other sites...
..actually when you think about it, this video pretty much indemnifies our new relationship with Obama care..
Yeah Jim, the old gang is still at it. Engineers Logic copied this from one of his Obama supporter friends about their experience in signing up for ObamaCare. Easy to see why this guy now labels himself a "former" Obama lover:
*****************************
>>From (previous) Obamacare lover: "I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable.""<<
******************************
Wonder how many of these horror stories will ever make it to the 10 O clock mainstream news? At least the word can seep out on social media....
http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_17704425
I'm glad to see a couple of dirty cops get fired, they should do a few years in the slammer for this type of abuse under color of law..actually it's not too hard to sucker punch and beat the shit out of a non involved bystander facing away and talking on a phone- takes rea courage to slam his head into the concrete,
shove his face into the car roof and slam the car door on them when they are cuffed up.
..this criminal behind the badge would have done the same to your mother, tell me how these dirty cops are not evil people.
The incident was contained and this guy thought he could get away with a little stick practice, no one was threatening nor attempting to prevent them from effecting a legal arrest.
..are you starting to see a pattern yet America?- the balkanization of America continues.
The reason I get so worked up over these obvious law enforcement issues is because those two dirty cops set the tone of the whole issue, all it takes is a few jackasses to smear the whole department.. it's personal with me.
Yeah Proud, wait until America finds out what Dodd Frank really means..
It means now any bank you put money into becomes the property of the bank while they have it.
.."Under the existing legislation, the FDIC has the power to impose losses on unsecured creditors in the process of resolving failing banks"..
arouchepac.com/dodd-frank
What they have done is set up a net to seize all assets whenever they deem it necessary.
If you have money in the bank all it takes is one signature to put it in probate.
.."As stated in 7.3, it is entirely conceivable for resolution to be triggered by the bank holding company of a foreign nation necessitating the steps of resolution, including bail-in to be enacted within a host nation of that bank.
In the case of the United States, for example, if resolution were to be triggered by a large British bank, such as HSBC, Barclays, or a European bank, such as Deutsche Bank, UBS, etc., the United States would be obligated, based on the FSB agreements, to take part in resolution"..
..see Cyprus for example one- if you have money in the bank, you don't necessarily have money in the bank because they can seize it at any time for any reason- and eventually they will because they didn't write this law by accident.
wake up people, they aren't building that gallows for carpentry practice.
When you try to log in, you are sent to a waiting page..
When you try to log in, you get bumped off the server as it time out..
If you get to create a profile it crashes almost every time you enter data..
If you ask for help via chat, it does not work and you wait for no one..
If you call for help, you wait for no one..
If you complete profile, you have to verify identity, which crashes..
They ask you to upload data proving ID and that crashes..
You can call Esperion to verify ID and you wait.. (thanks to Ying- Yang- a poster at zh)..
As I said, they only had three and a half years to set it up after all, (oddly enough this doesn't this happen to Amazon a private entity), isn't this just like when you try to get tax advice from the IRS?
PROUD,
I posted that guy's nightmare on Google+ with a couple of my own comments.
Since it is mainly libs over there i expect to get scorn but i don't care. With the mentality over there I relish it.
I feel sorry for that guy.
Does it ever end with these fools:

..Morris is on his deathbed, knows the end is near, is with his nurse, his wife, his daughter and 2 sons. “So”, he says to them: “Bernie, I want you to take the Beverly Hills houses.”
“Sybil, take the apartments over in Los Angeles Plaza.”
“Hymie, I want you to take the offices over in City Center.”
“Sarah, my dear wife, please take all the residential buildings downtown.”
The nurse is just blown away by all this, and as Morris slips away, she says, your husband must have been such a hard working man to have accumulated all this property”.
Sarah replies, “Property? … the schmuck has a paper route!”
welcome the new normal..
I'm thinking of buying one of those $100 houses in Detroit. That's a hell of a good price so what could go wrong?
Good joke with Morris.
Hot off the press:
Dr. Ben Carson was audited after he criticized Obama.
Dow down 136
Car crashes at capitol, gunfire exchanged.
And that's the good news of the day!..........
And I was hoping for a C SPAN clip tonight with someone sounding like Dan Akroyd saying "Nancy you ignorant slut" followed by someone screaming "he's got a gun"...
..no such luck, probably some tourist turning left instead of right when the nice GPS lady told her to..
..probably taking Obama some fresh baked fruitcake or something out of gratitude for passing Obamacare.
by the way for all you that like to keep track at home on the White Sox/Cubs game here's a handy little app to keep you up to date..
tallying the daily gang activity is sort of like writing in a 6-4-3 double play on the scorecard.

..today for instance there has been only four shootings in seven hours.. see, things are improving.
Looks like things are really heating up in, "The War On Women"....
African American, Connecticut woman launches her own Tet Offensive on the Capital:

same video as yours.. gotta give credit to the guardian as the most accurate news source available.
Evidently she went into a normal panic mode when she saw everyone pointing at her.. she could have killed a bunch of them if that had been her intent.. looks to me like a traffic stop gone bad.
Had that cruiser parked it right behind so she couldn't have backed up things might have gone a lot better.
..tough one.
Day three of the shutdown and nothing has changed for me. 800,000 thousand federal employees are on furlough because they're considered non-essential. If there non-essential why are they working for the government?
Mike...That an easy question....To keep the unemployment numbers low...
Hahaha- how quaint...why go to that trouble?- they just make up whatever number sounds right..
(guy with green eye shades looks up and says-"whaddalitbethistime?"..
We are way past the good old days when they actually had to produce live non working bodies..
Middy,
4 in 7 hours? things are improving;
PROUD,
That's good news for the red menace. Is she booked for Washington yet?
Good question, Mike. A nice opportunity to somewhat streamline that mess in DC.
Great opening game for the 1 and 0 Coyotes.. totally dominated the Rangers at both ends tonight..
looks like finally a power play has gelled.
.."The Financial Times reports that "two of the country’s 10 biggest banks said they were putting into place a “playbook” used in August 2011 when the government last came close to breaching the debt ceiling. One senior executive said his bank was delivering 20-30 per cent more cash than usual in case panicked customers tried to withdraw funds en masse.
Banks are also holding daily emergency meetings to discuss other steps, including possible free overdrafts for customers reliant on social security payments from the government"..
Well there goes my paranoia again.. Sometimes it seems like the same old rabbit down a hole tale with just the names changed to confuse the innocent.
I'm better off watching hockey and eating cheetoes..
Sad story on the radio today. A single mom with four kids was bemoaning the fact that the government shutdown may stop her W.I.C. coupons. She also gets food stamps.
She said if the government doesn't open soon she may have to, gasp, actually get a job. Oh the horror of it all.

So Barkey, does this mean that no union should ever strike if they don't get their demands?..
and this guy is a Constitutional Lawyer??
Mike,
Oh, no! No WIC means no jelly doughnuts or store bought fried chicken!
It just ain't fair! Welfare sure isn't what it used to be.
I wonder if she can even spell "job".
One of the funniest things I've heard today is that a lot of people don't know that Obamacare is the same thing as the Affordable Care Act.
They don't like Obamacare but they like the ACA. Funny!
Jim, that's the trouble with this country. Too many damn people sucking off the taxpayers. Of course Democrats love those kind of people because it adds to their voting base.
There should be a law against people on the dole voting.
We fought the first Revolutionary war over taxation without representation, looks like the second one will be over representation without taxation which is turning out far, far worse...
I see one park ranger telling us he was instructed to make it as painful as possible on the public..
If the public had any sense they would figure out that the more government provides the more it can take away if it wants to punish someone...
Or maybe I'm all wet.
.."A single mother of two said she is in school and working full-time while living "75% below the poverty level." She said she was shocked to learn she did not qualify for a healthcare subsidy. "Are you F'ing kidding me????" she wrote on the government's Obamacare Facebook page. "Where the HELL am I supposed to get $3,000 more a year to pay for this 'bronze' health insurance plan!?!??? And I DO NOT EVEN WANT INSURANCE to begin with!! This is frightening," she wrote"..
It's times like these that it becomes very hard not to just laugh at these morons who believed in the Trojan Unicorn and hope natural selection takes them early or at least stops her from breeding.
It's sad to realize that the we created a utterly worthless class of people who's sole value to society is to provide an insurmountable voting machine to continue the madness.
The numbers are against us Jim, these people are too stupid and morally corrupt to ever learn from experience much less reason- they need a good beat down and it's coming.
The only thing that will get their attention is when the bread and circus stops, and stop it will.
"It's sad to realize that the we created a utterly worthless class of people who's sole value to society is to provide an insurmountable voting machine to continue the madness"
BOOM....Right on the money!
I believe you previous labeled them
"FREESHITARMY"
I can't lay claim to that title..
If we are serious about retaking the Constitution then we had better start facing the situation from a tactical standpoint.
Right now the great unwashed is having the folly of their accepting a false god put right on the plate beside the peas and the "Lightbringer" has lost a lot of credibility the past two months.
First the American people told him no doing on the Syrian issue, Thank God for that!!- and now if the Republipukes would just not continue to prop up this fraud in an economy that has 317,000 waiters and waitresses with college degree and more than 100,000 janitors that have college degrees he would have some explaining to do.
..it's the political opportunity of a lifetime...
Eventually the smarter ones are going to realize that they didn't just waste eight years of their life, they have wrecked their entire future with a vote for a pig in a poke.
literally it's two pigs and two piglets.. or maybe that's "litterly"..
Imagine if we could just have one person waking up the rest of the zombies... they would hang Congress, all bureaucrats and especially the investment bankers tomorrow..
John, give this article a read.. it should scare the hell out of any political animal with the instincts to understand where it leads...

..no difference between what we have here now and what the Germans had in the twenties.
That's scary stuff! Almost makes me glad to be an old fart....(almost)
Borrowed this piece of crazy from Screamin Remo:

This guy /nut had his 3 kids in the car!
One of the funniest things I've heard today is that a lot of people don't know that Obamacare is the same thing as the Affordable Care Act.
Buzz, you're right; THAT is funny and show the mentality of a lot of Obama's moron supporters.
I take that back; I didn't mean to insult morons. LOL
I get down on my knees and thank the Lord I am not twenty something years old today..
It was relatively easy for someone with nothing but a desire to make their way in the world to get a start when I left home.
I learned the basics starting at 14 and for the next nearly fifty years applied the same principles.
I have never seen this angle in print but now a child is anyone under 26 which seemed curious at first but the reason for that is to insure that anyone having a family plan has to keep those dependents with mandated coverage on for another eight years of what should be their peak earning years.
And by being forced to keep their own spawn of hell on their family plan will cost them a whole lot more for eight additional years.
I have yet to meet the first eighteen year old who's first action after blowing out the candles was to buy some health insurance.
..see their strategy? it seems to be just another cynical trap from those compassionate libs eh?
Next big bubble to burst sending the economy to the bottom is going to be the student loans that cannot be covered in any bankruptcy action.
Bend over America and go long on KY jelly- of course nobody gets theirs but soon everyone will want some.
Eventually even the morons should start to understand why the IRS had to be greatly expanded before Abomination Care was even implemented.
Next up, the demonization program will begin towards their long time dream of phasing out our currency so they can have ultimate control.
..think they aren't already working on that???
Mike,
Agreed! Votes should be earned.
Middy,
Speaking of that Einstein single mother of two who chewed out Obummer over the insurance, I wonder if this is also her:
IDIOT SIGHTING
How would you pronounce this child's name?
"Le-a"
Leah?? NO
Lee - A?? NOPE
Lay - a?? NO
Lei?? Guess Again.
This child attends a school in Kansas City, Mo.
Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.
It's pronounced "Ledasha".
When the Mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said, "the dash don't be silent."
SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce the dash.
If dey axe you why, tell dem de dash don't be silent.
As a friend of mine in KC used to say: .....and to think that these idiots are allowed to vote."
PROUD,
The good news is all three are dead. (I assume the gasoline idiot is dead; I didn't hear much about that caper.).
Middy,
So true about 18 year olds.
Like they even give the slightest damn about being insured; I didn't think of it either but it wasn't thrown at us then.
I had items like the draft on my mind at 18; kids today have no idea what that little obligation was and I'm sure that if it returned the roads to Canada would be packed like during Vietnam.
I laugh when I see that 26 year old nonsense. You're right when you say we are outnumbered; Romney's defeat against a worthless clown like Obama was proof of that., Just give stuff away that the makers earned and give it to the takers and you can be president for life.
.."Katy Scheflen, a furloughed civil rights attorney in the Justice Department, said she stopped because she saw "a guy with a tripod set up."
Scheflen said another man, who she thought the tripod with a camera was filming, then took a red can of gasoline, poured it over his head"..
Think we are going to get the real background on either incident from this pack of liars?
starting to look like an Ara.. erh, I mean American spring- should be easier now that Al queda has an Air Force, Air Force I and nuclear capabilities.
PROUD,
That's a helluva video. I'm glad Officer Zistal got the guy and was only superficiality wounded himself.
Allen had to be nuts. He was former Army with kids in the car and goes off that way. Why?
That's why I carry my .38 everywhere. I want to always be as close to a level field as possible with the idiots running around.
Jim that video exemplifies how dangerous a job the police have.
Traffic stop for speeding, guy with 3 kids in the car probably seemed routine, but turned out to be life and death in a nano second...
It's easy for the public to Monday morning Q-Back police actions, video's like this give people a taste of what it's like to walk a mile in their shoes...and maybe an appreciation for just how dangerous every minute can be?
"It's sad to realize that the we created a utterly worthless class of people who's sole value to society is to provide an insurmountable voting machine to continue the madness"
Yeah, its a perfect scam:
Democrats take taxpayers money to bribe the lower class with "free" crap. Pretend to care about the poor, Win-win
.."It's easy for the public to Monday morning Q-Back police actions"..
Well John since you are taking a swipe about me I take exception..
watch that video I provided of the minor incident which turned into assault under the color of law in Denver.. it wasn't just me complaining it was a judge who agreed that there was some laws broken and there was a coordinated attempt to cover it up.
http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_17704425
.."Two Denver police officers caught on videotape during a 2009 beating of then-23-year-old Michael DeHerrera would lose their jobs.
Officers Devin Sparks and Randy Murr were terminated effective immediately for "deceptive acts," Manager of Safety Charles Garcia announced during a news conference at city hall. Sparks also was given a 30-day suspension for use of excessive force, although the suspension will have no actual effect because of the termination.
"We cannot and do not tolerate dishonesty in any safety agency. We do not and cannot tolerate excessive force in any safety agency," Garcia said"..
..which part of that official statement is troubling?
Is this the type of Law Enforcement you want to pay for?- I sure as hell don't.
As far as this guy on the traffic stop, he was obviously getting ready to pull a weapon, his body language screamed it out and the cop would have been justified at any point in dropping him in his tracks for advancing with his hands hidden after being given a direct order to get back in the car.
apples and oranges.
This video drives home the point that once you pull the trigger on center mass you keep shooting until it clicks.
one puny ass 9mm or .40 cal round won't do it when they are jacked up, and this guy was obviously jacked.
Here read this article if you don't think juicing is destroying the image of what used to be a nation of Peace Officers since turned Law Enforcement.
.."A seven-month Star-Ledger investigation drawing on prescription records, court documents and detailed interviews with the physician’s employees shows Colao ran a thriving illegal drug enterprise that supplied anabolic steroids and human growth hormone to hundreds of law enforcement officers and firefighters throughout New Jersey"..
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2010/12/hundreds_of_nj_police_firefigh.html
He is just one of hundreds of crooked doctors doing the very same thing all across the nation.
Yeah.. we got a problem.
PROUD,
I'm always on the side of the cops. Police brutality is bull to me. Behave yourself and you will never have anything to worry about.
If you want to start shooting at them for no reason, expect consequences. I'm surprised that guy was able to even leave the scene with one to the chest.
That's the nice thing about finishing those guys off like that. Minimal paperwork and saves time.
Buzz,
Yeah, its a perfect scam:
Democrats take taxpayers money to bribe the lower class with "free" crap. Pretend to care about the poor, Win-win
Sad but true and as the last election showed, we are out numbered when a loser who has done nothing constructive can actually get elected.
He should give thanks to the stupid blue states; they are the suckers who put him and his worthless wife in power.
Middy, i took no swipe at you, my comment about monday morning Q-backing was in regards to almost every instance where police instinctively react to save their own lives and are accused of OVER reacting a day or ten later.
Already we see people going after the capital police for using guns on the unarmed, crazy woman in DC, who was in fact armed with a 3,500 lethal weapon, one she attempted to use on several officers. The Mon Morn Q-Backs are spouting all manner of scenarios where the police yesterday should have used the pit maneuver or stun guns, or Dr. Phil...all sound reasonable a day later, not while a maniac, who you have no idea of motive or other weapons ie gun / bomb etc, is driving at you with a car and you have nano seconds to react to protect not only yourself but the hordes of tourists scurrying about...Had the lunatic mowed down a dozen kids, or detonated a bomb, the same arm-chair Q-b's would be complaining that cops didn't shoot sooner...It seems a no win?
The video you posted about bad cops does nothing to change my statement, sure there are bad cops and no, I nor anyone I know want to pay for that kind of policing, but police are made up of people and there's always an element of bad in every cross section. There was no sound on the video so I am assuming the over emotional women's room user on the phone (who was waving his arms around)was screaming derogatory things about the cops that were cuffing his pal?, doesn't make what the cop did right, but again cops are people and people, even those trained not to, can lose their tempers.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIUnEWYdPnI
.."I'm always on the side of the cops.
Police brutality is bull to me. Behave yourself and you will never have anything to worry about"..
..Guerena's wife called 911 to request medical assistance for her husband shortly after the shooting. Paramedics, however, were instructed to hold back. Guerena was denied attention, for about one hour, until the team declared the "area secured". Ambulance crews were then notified they were no longer needed, one hour and fourteen minutes after Guerena's wife's call to 911"..
..They intentionally let a innocent dying man bleed out..
.."Officers did not find any evidence related to drug trafficking at Guerena's residence. Police did report that they took one AR-15, one .38 handgun, body armor, and a US Border Patrol cap from the Guerena house after killing him.
All these items are legal to own"..
Tell me what this guy was doing wrong? sleeping in his own bed after working nights?.. they wouldn't let paramedics in for 45 min. to attend the victim.
No drugs, nothing to say he was involved, just a nice day to get some footage in for a COPS tv show.
get the idea??
.."The Sheriff's Department initially claimed that Guerena had fired on officers;(A LIE) at least three of the SWAT members including the team commander reported in their post-operation debriefings that they had observed muzzle flashes aimed at them from inside the house.(A LIE) After an examination of the rifle Guerena allegedly pointed at the officers however, it was determined that the rifle had not been fired; the safety was still engaged.
Other officers claimed they saw splinters from the doorjamb being hit by bullets; the shots that caused this were determined to come from other members of the SWAT team themselves.(THE TRUTH)
"There were five officers at the door beginning to make entry into this home, when they engaged this individual that they believed was actually firing at them. (A LIE) "Other versions of this story claim that officers started shooting after Guerena pointed the gun at them, (AN IMPOSSIBLE LIE) though under questioning they were initially unsure (STOP THE INVESTIGATION AND LET PROFESSIONALS HANDLE IT) whether he had actually moved to target them.
(TRYING TO JUSTIFY THEIR PREVIOUS LIE)
At this point the five person team fired at least 71 rounds at Guerena in less than seven seconds, who died after being hit 22 times"..
So the guy is dead, his kids orphaned and not even an apology.
Sorry if I disagree with some blanket statement that is non germane to the subject of innocent people being killed in an escalating number all across the nation by roided up swat team members who spend their off time playing violent video games and fantasizing over shooting people.
COPs-the tv show... what a bullshit waste of time targeted at the idiot youth and the idiot wanna be cop turds most who have serious mental issues- tv is one big reason for the downfall of the nation.
OK, I was wrong John- glad I was wrong, maybe I have a bit of a trigger.. but having someone calling you every name in the book while you are doing your job is sometimes part of that job- I was cursed at once.
I still have a badge, it's got Retired across the top of it but it's real, I am not anti cop, our guys up here are not roided out jackasses looking for trouble, but the federal military police money is what has corrupted things, when you get toys you tend to use them like on that despicably, phony bust they were using for tv.
I wonder if these guys thought that there would be anything other than a little show of force and some great national tv exposure, (Honey, guess what, I'm going to be on national television) yeah the profession should have never been trivialized by a show like COPS..
..cameras tend to make people act like..well actors.
Hope the Coyotes can keep the foot on the gas tonight in San Jose.. they looked awesome last Thursday night.
..gotta go outside and practice my howling.
Popcorn.... check.
brewski.... check.
nap... working on it.
I did a blog years ago about schools prohibiting kids from played good childhood games like tag and dodgeball.
I guess that is still happening:
New Groningen kindergarten teachers in Grand Rapids, Michigan caused some consternation amongst parents recently with a letter they sent home that banned the game of tag and other chase-oriented games.
The letter described the problem of children, "running in packs, pushing, knocking other children over, and making the game dangerous," which as we recall, was half the fun of the game. "We want our children to treat each other with respect, kindness, and with safety in mind," said Ginger Smith, community relationship manager for Zeeland Public Schools, on Friday, in an attempt to clarify the situation.
Apparently, neither the school nor the district have received any direct complaints from parents regarding the policy.
Yeah.. the village children... we must worship at the alter of non competition and mold the kids into good little subjects.
puke.
On another note, Vo Nguyen Giap, the North Vietnamese general whose campaigns drove both France and the United States out of Vietnam, died on Friday in Hanoi. He was believed to be 102".. and reportedly had no use for conflict resolution..
You have to hand it to him, he was a brilliant strategist, a worthless commie, but none the less a brilliant strategist.
..cue in Queen...
.."another one bites the dust" ..and off to hell he goes.
.."Ginger Smith, community relationship manager for Zeeland Public Schools".. and no doubt has a masters in conflict resolution..
I had a date once with a conflict resolution teacher once, let's just say the one date didn't go well.
Middy, the SWAT members that murdered Guerena should have been fired and prosecuted and sent to prison. Before anyone thinks I'm anti cop I'm not. My son is a cop.
Jim, the liberals have screwed up the schools so much that some won't even allow teams to keep score any more so to not offend the losers. What's going to happen to the kiddies when they grow up and go out into the real world? The real world is all about winners and losers.
Middy,
I had a date once with a conflict resolution teacher once, let's just say the one date didn't go well.
Her name wasn't per chance Ginger was it?
What a bunch of losers. They have no clue about kids and what it is to be a kid.
No Tag? No dodge ball? No fun. They may as well include kickball. I think hitting someone with the ball is part of that game too.
Mike,
Here is a blog I did in March, 2010 on this subject.
http://jmcallister.blogspot.com/search?q=dodge+ball+and+tag
The link I referred to from 2007 in this piece was from the old AZ Central blogs so it is missing but this piece gets the point across pretty good.
I remember discussing how no score was kept at soccer games because of a fear of a loss of self esteem for the losers. Plus, everyone got a trophy win or lose. Gee, how exciting can they get?
What a joke liberals are with their phony psychological crappola.
In that spirit of non competition you reference the Coyotes left a steamer on the ice last night.. that must have been the inspiration for your comment eh Jim?
There are some people who should not be allowed to pollute our air supply and one flock of entirely useless appendages are the conflict resolution specialists.
Frankly I have forgotten her name, it was obvious right at first she was a head case- a purposeful conflict instigator who likes to pop bubbles and a conflict avoidance specialist are not going to work.
Middy,
We flipped over to baseball at 3-0. I guess we shouldn't expect thse guys to suddenly be Maurice Richard and Boom Boom Geoffrion but that was not a good effort.
Neil Cavuto is a smart guy and if you want to spar with him, you better bring an extra pair of gloves. Obama is no match.
Neil Cavuto, Fox News, stated directly to President Obama the following on his daily afternoon program last Thursday. The points he makes just couldn't be made any better:
Obama is blaming Fox News for 2/3 of the country disliking Obama care. Here's Neil Cavuto's explanation and it is great. If you don't understand what is bad about ObamaCare please read his comments and you will understand.
Mr. President, Fox News isn't what's making Americans sick about your healthcare law. Your healthcare law is. Welcome, everybody, I'm Neil Cavuto. And excuse this departure from form. But I think this is just poor form. So, it's time we set some things straight.
Mr. President, we at Fox News are not the problem. I hate to break it to you, sir. You are. Your words are. Your promises are. We didn't sell this healthcare law. Sir, you did. Remember this?
President Barack Obama: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period.
Mr. President, tell that to tens of thousands of retirees at IBM and Time Warner and dozens of others, who've been dumped from their coverage and told to find their own coverage. Fox News didn't break that news to them, Mr. President. Their companies did.
Fox News didn't push more of those firms to hire part-time workers. Your healthcare law did. Fox News didn't incentivized fast food restaurants to scale back their benefits. Your healthcare law did. Fox News didn't make doctors want to opt out. Your healthcare law did. Fox News didn't make insurance premiums sky rocket. Your healthcare law did. Just like Fox News didn't grant hundreds of exemptions to companies that needed them. You did. And Fox News didn't delay one key provision after another, including online enrollment for those small business exchanges. You did.
Just like it wasn't Fox News that said we had to pass this to see what was in this. You did. Or was that Nancy Pelosi? Sometimes I'm confused. But of this I am not. Fox News didn't re-do basic math. Sir, you did. Fox News didn't say you can cover 30 million more Americans and not see a hit in premiums. You did. Fox News didn't say you could throw in those with pre-existing conditions and not have to pay for it. You did. Fox News didn't all but say you could get something for nothing. You did. Fox News didn't come back years later and say, oh yea, we did raise some taxes. You did.
Here's where you are right about Fox News, however, Mr. President. We can do math. And did. You cannot. And did not. We said it, and proved it. You didn't. And we're all suffering for it. Take it from the numbers guy at Fox. Numbers don't lie. The number of Americans working part-time and nervous. The number of retirees days away from being dumped on exchanges and anxious. The number of company bosses with any news to pass along on those exchanges, but still clueless. The number of doctors who want out. The number of congressmen now opting out. No, Mr. President, none of those numbers lie.
But with all due respect sir, I can only conclude you do know; I know, I know you hate us at Fox. But please take a look in a mirror, and fast. You think we're the skunk at your picnic. But that doesn't mean we're the ones that stink. Because that smell isn't coming from the folks reporting on your law. Mr. President, that smell is your law.
Obama is giving Fox News more credit than it deserves, if he thinks 2/3 of the populace watches Fox. And the conservatives that watch Fox, have made up their mind a long time ago that Obama care was a socialist program that wouldn't work. 85% were happy with their medical coverage, and of the 15% that didn't have coverage, didn't want it, and/or use Medicaid without paying.
Definitely not a good representation of the talent this team has tho, there was just no chemistry no matter how Dave juggled the lines.
Defense hockey requires a couple of stay at home shutdown types- last night was anything but Coyotes hockey..
They couldn't control either blue line at any time of the game except right after the first goal against.
..next stop... the New Yawk Islanders on Tuesday an early game for us should improve.
If not there has to be changes made.
I bet Neil actually wrote the entire body of that magnificent work, he probably had others give it a second pair of eyes, but I know that he actually believes every word that was spoken..
Andy Napalitano would be an excellent choice to turn this ship around but he is not a political animal, and until we actually revolt and take back the country no decent man can succeed the absolute sewer Washington smear politics represent nor challenge the Politburo's kingdom.
The words of George Washington are example one of an impeccable mind and sterling character; traits we once cherished, attempted to emulate and most certainly demanded of our leadership.
.."I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations.
Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.
This spirit unfortunately is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind.
It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but in those of the popular form it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.
The alternate domination of one faction over another sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities is itself a frightful despotism.
But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism.
The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight) the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration.
It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection.
It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions.
Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another"..
..need I daresay that this example of brilliant insight, clarity of thought and eloquence is something foreign and incomprehensible for "The Lightbringer" to ever appreciate much less find within his capacity.
It's because he is a hollow and evil man while George Washington was a child of God and a servant of the Constitution first and Nation second.
Hahahahahahhaa- who needs Monte Python.. we got mail!!

possibly the world's laziest postcritter...
..and I thought mine was bad.
get it quick before they take this one down..
Soccer, hockey and NASCAR all have one thing in common, they're boring. I've only seen two hockey games back in 1980 when the U.S. team beat the Russians and when the U.S. won the gold medal. That was enough for me.
Give me a good college football game any time.
Hockey....BORING?
Man you been to the wrong games!
I see the Green Bay Crackers beat the hapless Lions again like the yearly drum, and what is the matter with the Beagles?
they took the lunch money away from the Pats today?
..don't give up hope Jim..
Mike must have been watching something other than a hockey game if it was boring, hockey is a ballet on ice with sticks and bare knuckles.
It might be the only real sport left without over riding gang influence.
Mike might have watched an entire curling match- something no man has ever attempted.. that's the only thing that could explain it..
I see Jesse Ventura is off the reservation again, Haha, at least he's not our problem Arizona..
.."Ventura asked if the government's shut down, "That should mean we shouldn't have to pay any taxes, right?"
He called for another American revolution to push back against the "corrupt system" created by Democrats and Republicans in Washington.
He told Piers Morgan the two-party system has legalized "bribery" for access, suggesting he's fed up enough to actually run for president in 2016.
Ventura called both parties "gangs," and Morgan admitted he had to agree, adding that they're "overpaid, underworked children!"..
Well I have to admit that he has a point now if you could just over look a few inconsistencies in his past like running the state of Minnesota into near bankruptcy during his stay as governor and maintaining a unicorn petting zoo of governmental ineptitude, maybe he could be taken a bit more seriously.
..but that's merely my opinion.
Clownafornia doesn't have a corner on the market when it comes to insane political whores.
Middy, hockey is nothing more than soccer on ice. College football is where it's at.
Pevie, I don't watch hockey period.
Take two boring sports and put them together = Sockey
Yeah, that solves the problem..
Whoa... all of Arizona has spoken, hockey sucks.. guess I'm outvoted...
Just imagine after January when they decide to shut government down to force a budget issue they can then empty and close all the hospitals and command all doctors cease operations until responsible people come around to seeing it their way.
..that must have been the real reason the lofo voters gave him a second run.
After all we can't have normal government operation threatened or held hostage by the wishes of the people it serves..
Both the jailbird wife and I think hockey is great sport, maybe Slater isn't watching it with the right people? We have a number of canuck friends that make the watching almost as much a fast moving contact sport as what's happening on the ice...
BTW, looks like rick has moved on and found employment in commercials?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zebvFBNZ3Mg
That wasn't Rick, this guy had a clean shirt.
Yeah.. that's the problem hockey is a mystery if you try to watch it on tv to figure out what the fight is over, there is no substitute for a real game experience with this sport.
.. it's the opposite from fooootballl where the camera puts you right in the play and then some guy tells you what you just watched despite what you saw.
Have you ever noticed there is no real derogatory term for Canuks?- it's because simply being a Canadian is derogatory enough in it's own right, no sense in redundancy.
Middy,
I'm sure Neil wrote it; bright guy. No wonder he left those losers at CNN.
As of this morning, 10 days to go. I hope Obama blinks first. I don't see how he can avoid it. he is the one who has us in this pickle. Boehner seems adamant as of the morning; I hope he doesn't buckle.
Even the Republic says the Obamacare rollout was a failure.
I'm with ya on the Judge. I wish Fox would have kept his show.
How bout those Bengals? Eat your heart out, Brady and keep your ass out of Cincy if you know what is good for you.
Yeah!
As for the Cardinals, they are hopeless; once again no offense. Put Newton on a good team and he kills the Cards yesterday.
College football? Depends on the game. In most cases I want the NFL although the rule makers are making it less attractive every year. When is the last time you saw a kickoff returned?
I didn't know who to root for Saturday night; I intensely dislike both coaches, Brian Kelly and Todd Graham.
Notre Dame defensive back was not too smnart at the end of the game. ASU throws a hail Mary on 4th down from their own 20 and the dumbass from ND intercepts it on his own 40. Why? Just knock it down and run out the clock, stupid!
College kids! Please!
Hockey? Soccer?
Well, take it from an expert (me): Soccer sucks under any circumstances. The field is too goddam big and the players are crappy actors who don't score enough.
With hockey it depends on the game. 1-0 games that end in a shootout really suck plus they need to drop the 5 minute overtime and go straight to the shootout in ties.
Nothing can compare to the Dallas-Denver game yesterday (51-48 Denver) Payton is unbelievable while Eli is 0-5. What the hell is that all about?
I was at a bar in Calgary with 3 Canucks from Edmonton and they had the 20 TV sets ALL tuned to the Calgary Flames / Edmonton Oilers game...
Edmonton won which was a good thing for me and my friends, for the other 200 Calgary fans?...not so much!
I can honestly say that I never had so much fun while simultaneously, FEARING FOR MY LIFE!!!...
What a rush, now those were some SERIOUS fans!
The game is the fastest moving there is...spectators have to actually pay attention....ref's don't blow whistles or throw flags every few seconds like they do in basketball or football, and when a penalty (except icing) happens it usually involves a bru-ha-ha on the ice as well as the bar where it's being watched.
Luckily, we didn't get beat up, and all 4 tires of our car still had air when we returned... but did exchange some nice, allbeit vulgar repartee with our hockey loving friends from Calgary.
PROUD,
That's all verrrrrry interesting but my question is "What the hell are you doing in Calgary?"
I didn't see your request to leave the country come across my desk. I'm half French Canadian and even I stay the hell out of Canada!
