OBAMA IS IN OVER HIS HEAD

The good news is that Obama’s speech last night was only 16 minutes long.  It didn't cause me to miss part of the Diamonbacks' game.  The good news also is that it was worthless in that it was basically a rehash of what we have been reading for the past few days.  I guess that when a president knows he will embarrassingly go down in flames if Congress votes on his measure, he may as well do 16 minutes of repetition and then thankfully disappear.

It was more of the same:  “No boots on the ground” has become one of Obama’s favorite expressions even though having never served in the military, he probably wouldn’t know a boot if he saw one.

Then there were the impassioned words about how horrible sarin gas is and how inhumane it is to kill people, especially children, through its use.  We know those things but when a president says it with a glint of moisture in his eye, it is supposed to have more effect on his followers.

After he finished, one reporter (Martha Radatz of ABC News) commented:  “It is highly unlikely that in the coming weeks or even months there will be a military strike in Syria … if ever.”

Howard Kurtz of Fox News said:  “It was more of a status report than a call to action, more justification than inspiration.

Fox’s Charles Krauthammer saw the Obama message as “we will do this if we have to,” but put it “on the back burner.”

CNN’s John King said he had never seen a president “say I’m trying to prepare you for a Plan B.”

CBS’s Bob Schieffer hinted at a bit of face-saving, because “he was almost certainly going to lose this vote” on Capitol Hill.

It’s as though Obama is heaving a sigh of relief now that Putin is adding his two cents worth.  I can see him saying, “Phew!  I’m glad that’s over.  I’m going outside for a smoke.  Call me when Vladimir calls to give me his instructions.”

“What we watched:...

What really happened:...

What truly comical about it was the lead-off statement wherein he takes credit for bringing the Russians to the table and preventing a more bellicose situation.

Larry,

One thing we can always count on is O taking credit for something he didn't do. He is about a foot taller than Putin and I'll bet Vlad could take him down in about 10 seconds.

From the reaction of the liberal press, I think they may be catching on.

Jim, I didn't watch Obama's speech because there was more entertaining things to watch on tv.

Time to stick a fork in the D-Backs because they're done.

As a long time Dodger fan it's kinda fun to see the D-Backs at 13 1/2 games back.

Speaking of Arizona sports teams I see the Cardinals are off to a great start this season.

I didn't see the speech.

I stand by my research. It's accurate information. It'll drive you nuts just reading all those stories and reports.

It's a game, Jimmy. Everything we are seeing is just part of a great big counterintelligence game and if you check the stories of the other countries, they don't correspond.

I was told to stop stressing about this. Stop researching it. I'd be committed if I didn't stop looking for information.

I'm to focus on SN, music and filmmaking. No more freelance military intelligence.

Hey Jimmy, I've been busting my butt to learn the new programs. The other program had everything with it, but this one uses a few different programs for various special effects.

A St. Louis band booked the studio for Saturday for a Green Screen music video.

Now I'm feeling like I'm in over my head. I mean, recording it is easy. Creating the videos isn't like recording the song. Heck, one little bitty video can take days to develop into a product, depending on the fx they want.

Pevie, mentor to high level peoples and former political strategist , Hicks said...

Are you sure they want to book a studio?

Maybe they want to store a lawn mower, wheelbarrow, and a donkey there, I mean,

It's just a tiny old, BARN!(actually as barn's go, this one is more of a shed)

Unknown said...

Pevie, lots of people have volunteered to turn the "shed" into a nice studio.

One Nashville music star said that he's been in TV stations that are smaller. Another famous music star said that it doesn't matter anymore.

The fact is, there's a whole bunch of music stars coming tomorrow. They've played all over the world and they're wanting a Green Screen video done by LJM.

It's Karma. SN Rules. Jesus. Sure ain't some goddess!

Unknown said...

After today, I think I'm staying in film. SN can have the music industry and I remember now why I went into freelance writing.

But video is a better way to tell stories.

Jimmy, I think it's just a wonderful thing that Obama has accepted Russia's peace plan. It's precious. It's like outsourcing politics.

Jimmy, c'mon up and visit. We'll make a scene for a movie. We'll use it somehow.

Good morning, Jimmy. You seem so lonely. No one comments on your blog.

I watched SN with lady Antebellum for a few minutes on TV on break in the studio. It's on the roommate's DVR, so I'll watch it some other time.

The sound engineer and I jammed a bit last night. I'm getting pretty good on bass. I love guitar, but it's much tougher.

Got some nice video, but I need the right footage of a beautiful woman. I think I might be able to create one on the computer.

I am under a lot of pressure right now and it's only going to get worse. I've been trying meditation and that seems to help.

Yes, I appreciate everything that people try to teach me here.

SN understands me, but it took her years and I do call her my friend.

My late wife understood me best. She would tell me if people were kidding. She taught me that people really do like the things that I create. I'm extremely gifted and creative, brilliant too, but unbelievably ...

DUMB AS A ROCK!

I think that Middy finally figured me out. And yeah, I appreciate what he's tried to teach me too. Yep, I have no doubt that Middy is my angel, more than most.

I read the memo that got me a chance and I don't remember writing it. The fact is that I don't remember all the stories and photos that I've sold. Most of the time, I just think that I'm normal, but I'm not. I know that I'm weird and Jim tolerates me.

So my apologies, Mike. It's not you, but rather, it's me.

When you consider that Bill Clinton also sold sensitive guidance systems that now give them the ability to guide their MIRV armed missiles at any target on the US soil to the Communist Chinese for campaign donations makes him a traitor just as much as the traitors we have in the White House and in the Senate.

I hope you are sitting down Jim, this is a story ran on CNN on the subject of guns and shootings..

.."The guns James Holmes was charged with using in Aurora were purchased legally. Beyond the presence of a gun, the crimes committed in the movie theater are not at all similar to what happens in the streets of our large cities. And each time a politician or gun-control advocate tries to use these two very different examples interchangeably, the entire conversation and argument are compromised.

This happened after Newtown.

It happened after Aurora.

And it will keep continue to happen until the advocates accept that ridding the country of guns is a hopeless -- and unconstitutional mission -- and that the real goal should be addressing the factors that lead to the various forms of gun violence: factors such as poverty, mental health and failing schools"..

Middy, I went with my gut. The magic is in the air.

And Lana said that I'm not supposed to talk about everything in my head anymore.

Not to interrupt the party but can somebody please explain to me the mechanics of how one man can kill 12 people, one after another after another, with a sawed-off shotgun? And in a military establishment no less. Wasn't there even one person in that place that could have taken the shooter out while he was reloading?

CJ had to ask.

I did a little background on that shooter. Alexis is a recent convert to Buddha. I still say that he went overseas and switched to Islam. Recent converts often turn dangerous.

The shotgun was just the key.. he used it to take weapons from the security/greeter.

odd thing is a squad of fully armed, trained response swat team was there at the beginning but were not allowed in due to HLS taking charge and waiting for their own agency to respond.
so a few lives might have been saved.
just a typical day in the only gun free al queda stronghold in the world, there were a few other inconsistencies- sort of like with every other recent mass murder complete with the two extra suspects that were not pursued.
sorry libs, no ar was involved except for the one used by the guy that finally took him out after twenty min. or so..

btw.. he was a registered Dem. and voted for the lightbringer...
..that's gotta sting.
Contrary to Piers Morgan and other wing dings no gun has ever killed a person unless it blew up and that's always not it's fault- they just sit there and gather dust on their own.

Rick... that's the full moon in the air. lol..

Oh yeah cJ, all military bases are free fire zones just like kindergarden through the sixth year of community college are..
it's shooting fish in a barrel on every base in America.
happened in 93 with Bill Clinton blaming some shooting on the weapon instead of the criminal and getting away with it, so far Bill has quite a few deaths on his hands wouldn't you agree?..

Useful idiot politicians and commies all think alike.

So did he kill most of the people with the handguns or the shotgun?

here is a timeline of the gun free shooting gallery incident.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-09-16/washington-navy-yard-shooting-timeline-and-recap-13-dead-one-suspect-still-sought-qu

8:20 a.m. -- Active shooter is reported inside the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building (Building 197) at the Washington Navy Yard in southeast Washington, according to a statement from the Navy. There is one confirmed injury. A "shelter in place" order is issued for Navy Yard personnel. Several hundred people are evacuated.

9:40 a.m. -- Departing flights are held on the ground at Washington Reagan National Airport; some arriving flights are delayed. The Federal Aviation Administration later said this step was taken to give priority in the airspace around Washington to law enforcement helicopters and other aircraft.

9:50 a.m. -- A Metropolitan Police Department officer is among "several" injured in a shooting at the Navy Yard, according to a D.C. police spokeswoman.

9:56 a.m. -- President Barack Obama has been briefed "several times" about the situation by homeland security and counterterrorism officials.

10:05 a.m. -- U.S. Navy confirms via Twitter several injuries with reports of fatalities.

10:06 a.m. -- Chris Kelly, Metro police spokesman, tells CNN there are 10 victims, including a D.C. police officer and a law enforcement officer moments later described by another official as a base security officer. Kelly tells CNN the main suspect is an adult black male, 6 feet tall, bald head, medium complexion and wearing black clothing - black top and black jeans.

10:26 a.m. -- All flights resume at Reagan National.

10:34 a.m. -- Metro police spokeswoman Saray Leon denies media reports about three suspects possibly involved, saying authorities were looking for one suspect. Repeats 10 victims, but does not confirm fatalities.

10:36 a.m. -- Six public and private schools in the vicinity of the Navy Yard are locked down as a precaution. Two other public and two private schools would also be locked down. The nearby U.S. Transportation Department is also locked down.

10:55 a.m. -- A SWAT team is seen going through the gate at the main Navy Yard entrance. The SWAT team is seen escorting people out of the building where the shooter reportedly is located.

11:07 a.m. -- Law enforcement official reports the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives emergency response team is sent to the scene. It is the same one that helped Boston police apprehend Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The official notes the team includes approximately 20 specially trained, locally stationed special agents.

11:13 a.m. -- Multiple congressional aides from both parties who are involved in intelligence, homeland security and leadership say they have no indication that the attack at the Navy Yard was an act of terrorism.

11:29 a.m. -- Ed Zeigler, Director of Public Affairs for Naval District Washington, tells CNN two shooters "are down" at the Navy Yard. Zeigler cannot confirm if the shooters are in custody or dead. Zeigler also tells CNN there have been "multiple deaths" at the Navy Yard, but that those killed were not the two officers who had been shot. Zeigler says law enforcement is still trying to clear Building 197 to determine if there are any more shooters.

11:31 a.m. -- A Navy official tells CNN that Adm. Jonathan Greenart, the top Navy officer at the Navy Yard, was at his residence there when the shooting began. Greenhart was evacuated by secure vehicle, according to the official.

11:38 a.m. -- Janice Orlowski, chief medical officer at Washington Hospital Center, tells reporters at a briefing that her facility has received three gunshot victims -- one male and two females. The male has suffered from "multiple gunshot wounds to his legs," while one of the women was shot in the shoulder and the other was shot in both the head and one hand.

Orlowski says the survival chances for all three victims are "very good."

Orlowski also notes that the weapon used to shoot the victims "had to be a semi-automatic because they're talking about gunshots that they heard in rapid succession."

11:50 a.m. -- A senior U.S. Navy official tells CNN's Barbara Starr that one shooter is dead. The same official could not confirm there were other shooters, despite Zeigler's prior report that there were two shooters down.

12:09 p.m. -- The Pentagon issues a statement noting that "the Pentagon Force Protection Agency increased its security posture, not out of a specific threat, but as a proactive, precautionary measure related to the ongoing incident at the Navy Yard."

12:14 p.m. -- Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier says one alleged shooter is deceased, but two other potential shooters are still at large. Lanier says one of the potential shooters still at large is a white male in a tan military uniform, last seen around 8:35 a.m. in possession of a handgun. The other potential shooter still at large is an African-American male approximately 50 years old, last seen wearing olive drab clothing -- a possible military uniform -- and in possession of a long gun.

Lanier says there is no information indicating either of the two alleged shooters still at large are military personnel.

Lanier also notes that "multiple" victims are dead inside the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters building at the Navy Yard, and that there is still a "very active, ongoing" investigation.

12:20 p.m. -- Dr. Babak Sarani, chief of trauma and acute care at George Washington University Hospital, reports one person dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Victim pronounced dead upon arrival.

12:32 p.m. -- President Barack Obama, speaking on the fifth anniversary of the start of the financial crisis, says he has been briefed the situation at the Navy Yard.

"We still don't know all the facts, but we do know that several people have been shot and some have been killed. So we are confronting another mass shooting and it happened on a military installation in our nation's capital," Obama says.

"It's a shooting that targeted our military and civilian personnel. These are men and women who were going to work, doing their jobs protecting all of us. They're patriots and they know the dangers of serving abroad, but today they face the unimaginable violence that they wouldn't have expected here at home."

Obama called for a thorough investigation.

2 p.m. -- At least 12 people were killed in the shooting, Washington Mayor Vincent Gray said. Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier said authorities are looking for two additional people who they have reason to believe may have been involved in some way.

2:15 p.m. -- The Senate recessed due to the shooting events.

2:45 p.m. -- D.C. police report one of the people they were looking for -- the white male in a tan uniform -- "has been identified and is not a suspect or person of interest."

3 p.m. -- The Senate goes into "lock down" mode. Nobody is allowed to enter or leave that side of the Capitol due to "uncertainty surrounding the shooting" and particularly the possibility of suspects at large, according to Terrance Gainer, Senate Sergeant at Arms. The Capitol is not far from the Navy Yard.

3:30 p.m. -- The Washington Nationals canceled their game on Monday night due to the shooting, the team said in a statement. Nationals Park is just a few blocks from the Navy Yard.

4 p.m. -- The Washington FBI Field Office tells CNN the dead shooting suspect has been identified by ID and fingerprints as Aaron Alexis, 34, a military contractor from Texas
I really didn't follow this too closely.. just another day in the new normal..

So I guess that means you do not know what gun(s) he used.

Yeah, I have noticed that there is an amazing lack of detail & media frenzy regarding this incident. I mean, considering the wall-to-wall coverage of every other incident with every detail talked about for days on end & the names of all the victims released within days of the event, vigils & interviews with family members...Tucson, the Colorado theater, Sandy Hook, and, most recently, the Boston Marathon...Compared to those, there is something mysterious about this tragedy. It just isn't adding up.

midnightsstaff said...

Why I keep trying doesn't add up if we're keeping score.

Right now Glo is probably sitting in some Turkish belly dance club sharing a bowl of hash with some guys she just met from Cincy..
nice moon eh?

Actually Cj I am getting bored with all the mass murder drama and ensuing shit storm of lies and misinformation; we aren't getting the whole story and it sure looks to me like the media is deliberately covering up for Big Pharma- if you consider nearly all the outrages has been linked to the pharmaceuticals I listed the other day it seems someone would mention it.

But the media gets big bucks from Pizer and the rest to shill Paxil and Zoloft as nice friendly mood enhancers.

two and two is something I suppose, but we as a nation seem to want to have our cake and eat it too in way too many ways.
Big Pharma is doing more harm to the nation than the mexican cartels if you ask me although both support the status quo politicians so I guess it's a wash unless you happen to be a victim.
and nearly every family I know has a victim of the war on drugs somewhere in it.

Rick, I have known some Buddhists and Hindus and I doubt that was any contributing factor, he simply heard voices and one thing led to another...
He was involved with the outpatient VA mental system, in other words heavily medicated and ignored.
The VA system is another shame of this nation that is ignored yet every Fourth of July we act like the vets are the most important of citizens and then ignore them the rest of the year..
chickens roost.

Hey Cj this is a pretty good article by Jack Cashill on the subject you were talking about, his thesis is the historically inaccurate "Roots" influenced generation has matured into a sub culture within the black youth that has an intentionally misguided chip on it's shoulder..

It's one of the better reads I have ran across on the subject.
I suppose the article would suggest we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

If there were ever to get fully behind any conspiracy theory it's that the Democrat party has intentionally marginalized the Black race economically and done much to destroy the Black family in America using it for a pawn.

Mass shooting in Chicago last night....13 people shot incl a 3 yr old at a midnight basketball game(3 yr old out at 10:30PM? nice parenting)

Nary a single mention of any description of the two suspects in the MSM accounts I have read....Just that they pulled up in a grey car, absolutely no mention of apx age, height, race etc...

Taking bets that when / if caught, both suspects are black...and a child who attends midnight basketball at the ripe ol age of 3, winds up becoming a future gang banger / suspect himself...(he was probably at the game with his 35 yr old grandma)

midnightsstaff said...

Yawn... only 13?- that gun ban is working pretty well, but to be fair it was a Thursday night so like mid week hockey games the numbers weren't up to weekend standards..

Wonder why HLS didn't swarm the area and go door to door seizing weapons.
get back to me Monday after the Hottentots reorganize and even up the score.
(was that insensitive?)

Yep.. Arizona is going to be one of the safe zones when the shtf in the hood- gonna look like a state full of Korean grocery owners.

I like CJ. She's got good intuition.

I find the Naval shooting highly suspicious too. Violent video games to psychologically program people. Congress agrees.

Back in the early 1990's I had to go to the AT&T school in Chicago for two weeks of training. One of the first things we were told was to not go to the South side of Chicago after dark because it wasn't safe. I guess things haven't changed since then.

midnightsstaff said...

Sure has changed, now you can't go there in the daytime either..

Pevie,

In Spring of 1956 my dad and I went to Chicago for a weekend. He wanted to go to the horse races at the old Washington Park racetrack while I spent my time at Wrigley Field watching the Cubs.

I remember we stayed at a nice little place on the Southside. What a difference between then and now. We were driving a brand new '56 Chevy black convertible with a white top; a really great little car with "power pack" and stick shift. That SOB would really go!

We parked at the curb in front of where we were staying and had no problems.

Try doing that today! It's sad to see; I used to love Chicago.

Chicago holds the record for 435 murders in one year, because the mayor cut the police budget.

http://www.businessinsider.com/how-chicago-became-the-deadliest-city-in-america-2012-11?op=1

Gangs have grown in number, the story says.

So I did some more research and there are dozens of stories of law enforcement department budget cuts in various cities.

Simultaneously, the FBI put out a report that gang membership spiked.

Do your research, but CJ's right. The mass murders are all connected by commonalities, but budget cuts do not make people kill. It's just coincidence, even though I would call it encouraging the lawless thugs to do anything they want.

Jim,

He is 'big-time' over his head and we should all be 'big-time' worried. He is the very first president in my memory who has made it on such a colossal run of luck. But how long can we withstand this method of governing in such a dangerous calamitous world? I’m really scared!
