WANT CITIZENSHIP? THE LINE FORMS AT THE REAR

I love the so called “dreamers” who feel that they should be accorded some sort of special citizenship privileges because they were brought unknowingly into the United States as children by their illegal alien parents. They obviously don’t realize that sneaking in doesn’t qualify them for citizenship and if they were dealing with any other country or administration, they would probably be hot footing it home on the next bus with a stern warning about consequences if they return.

We need more scenes like this instead of spoiled illegal kids
demanding privileges they haven't earned.
Now, some of them are going the civil disobedience route which will bring them even less favor from an already annoyed general public.  Recently, four illegal protesters chained themselves to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Phoenix.  Two others were arrested for blocking a bus leaving that building with a group of illegal aliens.  Similar incidents have been happening in places like New York City.

These kids should have a talk with their parents about their travails.  We didn’t ask them to sneak into this country and break our immigration laws, hence, why should their children be given the privileges of U. S. citizens?  It doesn’t matter that they were brought here unknowingly; whoever said life is always fair?  If you want citizenship, join the rear of the line.

In Monday’s (8-26) Arizona Republic there is a column by Sharon Harper, the CEO and president of the Plaza Companies.  She is lamenting the failure of our immigration system.  Gee, Sharon; no kidding!  Sharon goes on to mention how “we need a workable solution for the millions of illegal immigrants working among us in the United States.”  She also feels that “Immigrants should have an opportunity to earn their way to the right side of the law” and if American workers can’t or won’t fill jobs, she feels that temporary visas should be issued to illegal labor.

Regarding her first statement about a workable solution for illegal immigrants already here, what about those who have obeyed our laws by standing in line for years waiting for their opportunity to come here the right way?  It’s a beautiful thing to watch those who waited cry tears of joy and wave their little flags when they have been granted citizenship (see above). Why should the scofflaws who sneaked in be given priorities?

Her second statement is also bogus.  Why should illegal aliens have a chance to “earn their way to the right side of the law”?  They have already broken the law and for that they should be handed forgiveness?  That’s nonsense.

My favorite is Ms Harper’s comment about temporary visas for illegal workers if Americans won’t do the work.  She is naïve if she thinks those with temporary visas will leave the U. S. when that visa expires.  Many never leave and manage to get lost in the shuffle which creates more problems like the Danny's Car Wash incident.

Nice try, Ms Harper; but even though you successfully run a large company, you are a bit lacking in the knowledge of human nature when it comes to immigration.

Not sure her problem is one of not understanding human nature...it is more a problem of comprehending (or learning) our federal and our State constitutions and national security.
We have for years (actually generations) had multiple programs for hiring temporary labor to meet general and special needs.
We have always had both general and specific programs not just permitting but encouraging (LEGAL) immigration.
It is a direct insult to every legal immigrant to "forgive" those who have or will enter the US illegally...and a direct and major insult to every legal citizen of the US. And I cant think of an appropriate term to describe the insult to those who wait years, spend $thousands, and are forced to continually adjust their lives before receiving their authorization and documentation for American citizenship through legal means.
It is the "legal" process which gives us "American" citizens...as compared to the "forgiven" criminals who have expressed little or no honest desire to actually become a true American citizen.
Truth is, we are "forcing" American citizenship on the illegals, few of whom actually desire to become Americans, and fewer still who have any sense of Americanism.

I've said before that the alien who comes across our border in search of a way to earn support for his/her family in the "old country" isn't doing anything you or I wouldn't do.
The simple fact of life is, however, that we can't afford to pay for their food, housing, education, clothing, utilities, policing, legal defense/incarceration ad infinitum.
Many do not spend the money earned here in the US and most do not pay taxes except on some sales.
Do you honestly believe their US employers who know their ID's are fraudulent actually pay their FICA taxes and withhold FIT amounts?
If you do, you need to get your head out of the clouds.

"In the first place, we should insist that if an immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else. for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, and we have room for but one flag, and that is the American flag. Theodore Roosevelt.

The illegal today would reject this message. They don't want to be Americans and most don't want to speck English and they parade down our streets carrying Mexican flags.

Jim, I agree with the blog, I don't think those who broke the law, or off-spring of same, should be granted special privileges that American citizens or law abiding aliens from other nations already standing in line don't get, however there are a couple good reasons for government to fix the mess that they created and perpetuate with their lax border security.

I see these as facts:

1. There's no way in hell they are ever going to round up and deport people who came here illegally, no political will, and even less of a budget to undertake such a thing.

2. So in as much as they are here already, and in as much as the number of workers paying into S/S verses the number taking payouts has dwindled to unsustainable proportions, it would seem to make sense to come up with a plan that would address and help both issues.

I don't believe it would be that hard, were I in charge it would go something like this:

1. Secure the border, SLAM IT SHUT with National Guard / Reserves whatever it takes to make our borders more, or at least equally secure to every other civilized nation on the planet.

2. Provide every known American citizen an American photo ID card. Make this ID card a necessary part of life IE: getting employment, a loan, voting, applying for government assistance, placing kids in school, getting a driver license, buying an airline / train ticket, buying a car / house etc

3. Offer every ILLEGAL in the country a warning,(written and announced repeatedly on all over TV and radio (in several languages if need be), that from here on Americans will need to present their US ID card, should they be here illegally and have no ID card, they have 30 days to come forward and be counted, and apply for a temporary visa which when complied with offers a real & legitimate 6 mo or 1 yr path to becoming an American citizen. (the usual, much agreed upon items, like criminal background check, learn English, American history, apply to S/S etc) Those who do not comply would be deported as they are located.

With this:

**The border would be SHUT, no new inflow and those deported wouldn't simply sneak back the next week.

** Proof that you are an American citizen would be easily integrated into daily life, those now illegally getting billions in gov. handouts could be shut off, illegals taking up seats in classrooms would be identified and threatened to be ousted if they did not comply with the terms of the temp visa program.

** And the illegal element content on staying in the illegal shadows would soon bump up against the undeniable fact that they can no longer game the system w/o playing by the rules, they would eventually surface and get deported to the other side of a secure border...

Good morning everyone. Jim, I totally agree with you. I am sick of their demands. Of course it all goes back to my own ancestors: my maternal grandparents came to America from Eastern Europe and went through the whole Ellis Island experience. They were desperately poor, and saying life was hard is an understatement. But they took steps to become a citizen and productive ones at that. I still proudly have my grandmother’s school book from the 20s where she was learning English. There were no ‘programs’ to help her or my grandfather, no one protesting for better conditions, no one whining and picketing. They sure as shit weren’t yelling and waving flags of their birth countries. They just dug in and did their damndedest. My mom would tell me about her father getting up at 4 AM and standing in line hoping for a day job. Mom said they often ‘dined’ on a slice of bread smeared with bacon grease, and thanked God for that. Those were the true mind of immigrants this country needed and still needs.

The argument from these Dreamer and others like them is that America was built on immigration. True. BUT – this is NOT the same country and NOT the same time period and NOT the same economic situation that was around in the last couple of centuries. To use the same argument when the parameters are so drastically different is ridiculous and doesn’t hold water.

I welcome legal immigrants of every color and ethnicity that respect our laws and truly want to become American ‘citizens.’ But I have no respect or sympathy for those who want to ‘jump the line’ and demand what they have no intrinsic right to.

One more thing: We absolutely need to stop granting automatic citizenship to anchor babies!!!!!

A couple of good jokes from readers:

From: Nancy Mirikatani

A man goes into the hospital for a vasectomy. Before the procedure a
very attractive nurse comes in and takes his vitals, then tells him to
take all of his clothes off.

When he is fully undressed she instructs him to lie down on the
table. The man obeys. The nurse then takes all of her clothes off and
climbs on top and has her way with him.

Upon the completion of the act the man catches his breath and asks
what that was all about. The nurse informs the patient that studies
have shown that before a vasectomy if the man has an ejaculation, he
will be more relaxed and that the cord is easier for the surgeon to
locate and sever, thereby making the surgery safer, more efficient and
quicker.

The nurse then wheels the patient to the operating room.

While they are going down the hall the patient looks through a window
to the right and sees six men in a room masturbating.

Curious, the man asks," What are they doing in there"?

The nurse responds, " They're preparing for vasectomies too, but you
have Blue Cross, and they have Obama Care."

From: Dave Wells

OBAMA RATED 5TH BEST PRESIDENT IN OUR HISTORY

From a total of 44 U.S. Presidents: Obama rated 5th best president ever.

The Democratic publicity release said,"...after a little more than 5 years, Americans have rated President Obama the 5th best president ever."

The details according to White House publicists:

Reagan & Lincoln tied for first,

23 presidents tied for second,

17 other presidents tied for third,

Jimmy Carter came in 4th, and

Obama came in fifth

Sam,

Your statement: "It is a direct insult to every legal immigrant to "forgive" those who have or will enter the US illegally." says it all.

I can only imagine how the people who patiently waited for citizenship the "right" way feel when they read of all the goodies being proposed for the crooks who sneaked in.

Of course, the Dems love it because everyone of them immediately vote Democrat in appreciation for the freebies.

Women like Ms Harper mean well but are fooled by their misunderstanding of human nature. It's easy to sit in a high rise plush office and assume that when visas run out the holders will actually leave. She has no clue about the down and dirty side of immigration.

Jim McAllister said...

Dux,

So true. The e-verify seems to be a joke; they are still hiring illegals and taking tremendous advantage of them.

I remember a few years ago when they would be lined along Cave Creek Road in Cave Creek and be picked up by rich women in big SUVs to go do their odd jobs or yard work. They knew damn well those guys were illegal and didn't care that they broke the law just for the sake of saving a few bucks on labor. A church up there was supporting that behavior.

The biggest joke of all is that a woman can step over the border into the US, have a baby, and that kid is a citizen.

A few years ago a Mexican woman sneaked over and had her baby at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She thought it was really nice because they did it for free and she said it would have cost $250 in Mexico.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

I agree with all you said. One of the biggest insults is when they parade in Phoenix and burn our flag in front of the state capitol.

We are way too soft on these clowns. All 179 of the ones caught at Danny's were released. What's the point in catching them?

Jim McAllister said...

Proud,

I agree with what you say. Haveing so many sneaking in over the years is like the old adage "nits make lice."

The border should have always been sealed so this mess would have never happened. Now, as you say, it's too late and the ones waiting in line in Mexico are being made to look like suckers for not sneaking in like the rest.

As I mentioned to Dux, this bullshit of a woman stepping across the border and having her baby be a US citizen is ridiculous.

Jim McAllister said...

Well said, Glo.

One problem today, especially with the young ones, is a total lack of humility. They keep harping on the bullshit of "I was brought her unknowingly" doesn't hold water.

As I said in the blog "No one ever said life was fair." These punks don't realize how good they have it compared to immigrants from years ago; the Jews in particular who took a LOT of abuse when they arrived.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

Good point; let's just conquer Mexico.

In Maricopa County, we have a lot of overt illegals. They get away with it too because they know they can. It wasn't as bad when Sheriff Joe was running things but the feds made him scale back. We must not insult our guests from Mexico especially the ones who burn the American flag.

Phoenix's mayor is REALLY a joke.

Told ya, we'd be in Syria, didn't I? It's not just that I know a lot about international politics. I usually know what a lot of people are going to do, before they do it. The signs are always there.

The question is; why is it that no one has tried to buy my expertise, other than the U.S. military intelligence complex? Not that I mind ... I want two Humvees. And more computers. And a new home. Four Harleys.

Not you, Jim. I'm giving the NSA my Christmas list for me being right.

Rick Kepple said...

My stalker is just like me, which would be YOUR stalker (me), so I can see your point of view, Jimmy.

She is me, but because I'm a man, I make sense. I have no clue who those people are that she tells me about.

So, I pulled a Jimmy and Middy.

I wrote as two people having an argument and we briefly mentioned that poor distraught woman, who is probably shoeless and stuff.

And apparently an illegal immigrant, because she talks like she's from the Philippines.

"Me Christian long."

So I had a taste of my own medicine and I am being kind to her ... like Middy was to me. My examples for life.

Adios fellas. And just remember, I will always remember everything you have taught me about how to behave with everyone I meet. Thank you. I am a better man for having met y'all from Scottsdale.

Syria doesn't really need intervention, but it's gonna happen anyway. Either way, Death has looked at the United States.

And Obama keeps pulling diplomatic staff. Illegal immigrants from around the world crossing the border. Hell on earth.

I really do hope that most of the species is exterminated in the world war that is coming. Unfortunately people like Pevie and SN live forever. That's why we have world wars. Inquisitions. Debtor's Prison. Torture.

SN and Pevie Hicks prove that the war in Syria is necessary. The world is overpopulated and it's time to start the harvest.

If we allow disease to thin out the population, Pevie and SN might die. We can't have that. The world needs money. Just ask anyone.

However, some of my old friends in the military sort of feel like biological warfare is the way to go. Let God sort us all out. I concur. Natural selection.

We need this war in Syria to stop the illegal immigrants. It makes no sense, but I'll go for it.

I don't know who looks the dumbest; Nobama (just because he is) or that phony Lurch who doesn't know when to watch what he jokes about on TV. No wonder had his ass waxed in '04 by Bush.

You guys have to admit that Rick was OK for a while and some of you even commented on it. I don't know what has sent him over the edge this time.

Right, like Jimmy said ... Nice comment Pevie.

You guys are the proud 97 percent.

It's strange that I'm like Stevie Nicks and she's like Rick Kepple. Russia has become America and the United States has become the Soviet Union!

Pevie, let's hear more about your penis.

Well Jimmy, you SAID that Pevie's comment was a good one. I just wanted to see if he wanted to elaborate.

You're so nice, Jimmy. I'm you and you're me. We are the Walrus.

Why did the Muslims in Washington DC get a permit and motorcycle riders did NOT get a permit? Stupid question. It's rhetorical.

In the Ozarks, we want to know what happened to 107-year-old Monroe Isadore, who was cut down by SWAT in his bedroom when he refused to move to an apartment for his own good.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57602123/questions-persist-after-107-year-old-man-dies-in-confrontation-with-swat-team/

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2416405/Monroe-Isadores-roommate-says-police-choice-shoot-him.html

Now, tell me about those dreaded 2 million bikers, because the way that I see it, if the cops can kill an old man with such ease, what do you think they'll do to an army of motorcycle riders?

It's wrong to attack Syria, but apparently taking out an old man is cool as hell.

It is evident that humans will not change, so we at Lana Jefferies Music LLC have devised a simple, portable time machine. We plan to go back in time to Lincoln's time to try and convince them that some day, a Black President will really screw things up.

And tell Lincoln that Obama is always quoting him .

Time Traveler. A film soon to be made in the Ozarks, because the world's rules has driven me nuts, and I'm normal for Hollywood.

My budget for this movie is 1.5 million dollars.

Actually it's a buck and a half, but I'm learning how to think like Hollywood.

PROUD,

I love the bikers.

Great Miley Cyrus comment. Another dumb bitch who might have had a career and I say "might" with some trepidation. Her current act is not going to make it plus she isn't that cute anyway.

PROUD,

I'm celebrating the Colorado vote. I hope other states take notice.

Rick,

I think the bikers and hillbillies are going to be the saviors of this country against assholes like Obama and his ilk.

Love those bikers. One of them could kick ass on 5 Muslims at once.

SN was right. All that creativity gets jammed up in there and it's gotta come out!

Been playing the Epiphone SG for days! Another guitarist, don't know his name, joined in last night. He's supposed to bring his axe back.

And I wrote the script for Time Traveler in 15 minutes. Needs some editing, gotta find the photos and this film will take time for the fx that I gotta do.
