LOOKING BACK AT AMERICA, 1956.

http://www.shorpy.com/node/15828?size=_original&ref=157286#caption

(go to above URL for closeup)

Ah, the good old days of 1956 taking the family out to dinner at the local drive-in restaurant.  In Cincinnati, the place to go was Frisch's Big Boy.

This photo is from Houston, Texas and since the family has that nice 1956 air conditioned Caddy to ride in, the drive-in has a special blower for the car hop to blow cold air on them even though the car windows are open.

Notice the clear plastic tube on the far side of the back window where the Caddy air conditioning blew in from the trunk.  The little girl in back is drinking a shake from a real glass container while dad chugs down a cold Miller high Life suds.  Mom is in front holding her baby.

One commentor nailed it:  "Life was so much better when you could drink and drive, kids were sitting on mom's lap and you could stretch out in the back seat and take a nice nap without that pesky seat belt. I have to admit though that I did miss those wing windows when they went away.  They made it so much easier to flick your cigarette ashes."

When he refers to "wing windows" he is talking about what we referred to in Ohio as "cozy wings" and the manufacturers called "front and back door ventipanes."

So, today we have safer cars but more idiots driving them while they text useless information.

Go figure!

Ah, the good old days. I was 5 years old in 1956 and remember riding with my parents and little brother in dad's 55 International Harvester pickup. Me in the middle and my brother on mom's lap.No seatbelts or air bags and yet we somehow survived.

I thought it was a big vacuum to remove the contents of a wallet.
..Yeah mom's sitting there trying to figure out how to tell Ozzie she's pregnant again.
.. who is that car hop? looks like she's moonlighting a stewardess job or as a theater usher.

Unknown said...

Vacuuming the wallet ... no, the woman has to be married to do that. ROFL

Thanks for the compliment on the video, Jim, Middy.

Tosha (daughter) and I went fishing on the river today. We caught a lot of bass and beavers were hanging around just a few feet away without any fear!

So today, it was magical. It felt as if time and space were all mixed up. Even now, we're all reading and writing. Baking bread and cakes. Simplicity is best.

Area 51 exists. It's like the 1950's simple times coming or something.

Now Jimmy, Middy and CJ, y'all gotta come for Christmas. Baking stuff to freeze for the holidays. Tosha's birthday is this month ... I could get her a Buck Rogers ray gun!

I just looked at the numbers on the film "Torrent," just released this morning! Hundreds of views!

http://youtu.be/BXlCzxxoLbU

Each time, we need to improve. That's how they did it in grandpa's time!

Unknown said...

I'm so glad that Lana is the face to be seen on TV.

The 1950's. Nice simple times. Fishing on a lazy river. Kayaking. Starting a company from your bootstraps and defying the odds!

The only thing that is keeping anyone from living like this is a sense of reality and polite behavior.

I'm crazy. That's why I can turn my barn into a studio and a bunch of us decide to make our own jobs. But you gotta figure that living in the Ozarks is sometimes like living in the 1950's.

Pretty soon, there's gonna be this classy woman from the Ozarks on TV. Blonde hair, blue eyes, stylish. Glamorous. I hope we still go deer hunting this winter.

We can bring checkered wool hunting clothing back in style.

Unknown said...

Middy! It doesn't work if you watch the video, "Torrent," over and over again!

Praise God! You should see the numbers on that video! VIRAL!

Unknown said...

Esoteric with lots of commas.

Unknown said...

Can you imagine how much good that video that we made will do for the flood victims and the Good Samaritan Resource Center helping people with winter coming up?

If the video went viral, things could be set right again for a lot of people. In theory.

Unknown said...

Middy is right about climbing out on a limb. Hence the SN study. Following her life decisions as my rules. Focus on the studio and work.

The product is doing well. Numbers continue to climb. Seems that everyone is pleased and I hope that the Good Sam has more phone calls than they can handle and truckloads of donations.

It's God's magic.

Yeah, I am pretty sure she meant esoteric, the English language is pretty specific.
I do the same thing- somehow the interpretation comes through a lot of the time.

Big storm on the mean streets last night, thought it was going to blow the roof off.

Middy, it's a little esoteric, but you should really watch Torrent again.

http://youtu.be/BXlCzxxoLbU

Every time that I look, it is better. For some reason, the video is starting in the middle. Stupid Internet.

I miss the 50's. Life was so simple back then. It's different now. I'm too big to carry around.

midnightsstaff said...

esoteric is just rice toes spelled wrong.

I liked A&W when they were part of what made this nation work, car hops kind of went out of fashion when drive thru's got popular; wait until five years from now when the industry is fully automated, at least you won't have to deal with some tattooed counterculture with a bone through the nose and a propensity for licking other people's buns asking you if you want it supersized.

..a human- at least a biological entity giving you your gag and puke will be considered the good old days before the world went to hell in a hand basket.

Unknown said...

"Big storm on the mean streets last night, thought it was going to blow the roof off."

Apparently Phoenix had bad storms last night. I looked up Cali weather and there have been a few isolated storms, but nothing major. Oklahoma weather showed a little low pressure about 5-8 p.m., but no rain.

Esoteric can be a good thing. Many esoteric films have never been forgotten and become cultural masterpieces.

We're making new American history working out of a barn.

Middy said that if we had more people who had something in mutual need for the films that we'd do better.

648. Second day of being uploaded. We've been filming since December 2012. We're like some 1950's company robbing peter to pay paul. Peter's just gonna have to get sore and that's the way it is.

My theory is that as we prove we can draw an audience, we will have funding. If we can prove that we can do professional work, maybe we can get investors or advertisers.

Don't put it past me to put in a video, "And now a word from our sponsor."

I'm figuring out what motivates people to watch films and that translates into money for a community. And that's pretty esoteric, I guess.

Unknown said...

Jimmy might actually have something with this entire retro thing.

In 1953, President Eisenhower began going to church, because he felt that it was necessary for a leader to be pious. Eisenhower feared that Americans were "deadened in mind and soul by materialistic philosophy of life," and that's where the Pledge of Allegiance came from.

"Our government makes no sense unless it is founded in a deeply felt religious sense - and I don't know what it is." http://www.shmoop.com/1950s/society.html

The story reminds us that the 50's was a consumer driven society rather than an investment driven one, like now. Were people happier? Mom on tranquilizers and alternately diet pills to keep her cleaning and cooking?

These days, Christianity is up to 79 percent of the country, according to research. But cyberworship is becoming more normal than it used to be. Folks going online to a church instead of an actual building. Islam is only about 1 percent of the entire American population, according to http://religions.pewforum.org/reports

Instead of gas guzzling tail finned cars, there are gas sucking Humvees. Mom is smoking a joint instead of popping a pill.

Watch Torrent. http://youtu.be/BXlCzxxoLbU

An interesting note is that the film viewer numbers rise before and after church hours, but not during.

So maybe statistics are doctored and people are in fact more religious now than they were in the 1950's.

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2013-08-15/news/bs-md-bulletproof-white-boards-20130815_1_maryland-eastern-shore-whiteboards-maryland-association

..Calling "campus violence a reality" to prepare for, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore announced plans Thursday to spend $60,000 on the Clark Kent of teacher supplies: an innocuous-looking white board that can stop bullets.

.."The high-tech tablet — which hangs on a hook, measures 18 by 20 inches and comes in pink, blue and green — can be used as a personal shield for professors under attack, according to the company that makes it, and a portable writing pad in quieter times".

..does the insanity have any limit?.. slap me silly if it's not about to be a full moon.
Someone please tell me some congresscritter didn't slip this mickey in the appropriations bill for public education.

As long as they are spending the money on this type of nonsense why not just use our taxpayer money for invisible blankets to wrap themselves in- that sounds as logical.

I am only surprised in that this idea didn't hatch in the great unicorn preserve on the west coast, (day be slippin')- but I have faith after they get wind of this sweetheart of a deal they will be motivated to elevate their game and get back into lead position in the Loonytune 500.

I like reading what you write, Middy. I've never been blessed with hanging on to the treasured memories of life.

I used to correspond with lots of different writers and over the years, the letters were lost to time. Or stolen.

The VA docs (there were two of them) asked me if I ever had Depression.

"Only when I'm depressed."

Root beer floats sounds like fun, actually. A frothy float on the veranda as the sun is setting. I miss the double sunsets of the Southwest.

Hey, Middy and I could be roommates ... I'd be zoned out for days on the computer creating a new Product. Then suffer from Depression during the off times.

Course, I'd be rich cause I'm just that good. ROFL

And now ... onto the next film ... I keep planning to use the Green Screen until I find something else. Fiction is hard, author Pat McManus once wrote me.

So when you coming to visit, Middy? Gonna have to renew my passport, but I don't see myself traveling anytime soon ... unless I'm wrong about that.

Unknown said...

They should make a tablet that not only stops bullets, but reacts in a defensive way to channel all of its energy into a plasma beam that cuts the shooters in half. When it's done defending the teacher, it is dead of course, having sacrificed itself for the innocent humans.

Middy, me and the daughter could make films.

"Sometimes, my mind is just racing with ideas and I don't know where they come from. I swear, I'm psychic!"

Actually, the 1950's had a lot of those neato ideas for movies, but reality is stranger.

We could make a 50ish film. Maybe even poodle skirts returning. Big tail fins on Humvees.

Views are at 700 now for Torrent. I hope the Good Samaritan Resource Center has to rent warehouse space for all the donations. That would be cool, cause the film has been seen all over the world, according to statistics.

Unknown said...

In the 1950's, people were more financially responsible. I think my dad was pretty happy to be paid the prevailing minimum wage back then ... 75 cents an hour.

Grandma used to keep money for a Rainy Day. Heck, I don't know anyone in person that has any money in a savings account.

I saw on a video that SN used to save half of her income , because her parents taught her to do that. I used to save money, but it was always confiscated to fix the car, pay the rent, etc. and never repaid. Thus explaining my behavior.

However, I read or view SN behavior and try to be more like her, cause she's from another era. A better class.

As I pointed out, people took religion more serious in the 50's, largely because Communism would lead to a lack of faith in an invisible God.

I wonder ... could that also translate into a lack of imagination and would that also lead to blindly obeying government, even when the People knew the government was lying, accepted the lies as truth and now ...

Government has this idea that they are the parents and we are the children. It's the 1950's mentality ... Do as I say and not what I Do!

But now we're all grown up and we can handle the truth that Area 51 exists, says the CIA.

So now, that leads right back to the 1950's mentality. Cold War. Except we're all growed up and we can handle the truth.

Worse ... how about all those conspiracy theorists called nuts and told to put on their tinfoil hats? They deserve an apology, but won't ever get one. And what about that professor who worked at Las Alamos and had his entire life ruined because he said that Area 51 existed.

It's just bothersome that the government is stepping out of the 1950's. Next they'll admit that I exist and happened with Reagan and the other unmentionables.

You're never gonna believe who's really behind the death of JFK. That's just gonna blow your mind. Not that I know ... but I've heard rumors.

Unknown said...

A lot of the dots connect with the JFK assassination with things said over the years. I anticipate a death bed confession, but there are children, so it may only be for their ears only.

The guy once told me that if the American public ever found out what he'd done ... but God will deal with him. His children are trying to do good things. I suppose one could blame Communism, but look at us now. What did all that death accomplish, when our government behaves like some Communist regime.

Connect the dots and you won't want to believe it, but the evidence doesn't lie. Little bitty sentences as published in the media and alone mean nothing, but all put together and they are as much as a confession as you will ever get.

Middy's right. Our government can't be trusted, but I think Obama is trying to regain our trust, just so he can create even greater lies.

Americans need their conspiracies. Pax Obama.

After a recent evaluation, Forever 21 realigned its staffing needs to better reflect sales expectations. This realignment impacted less than 1% of all U.S. store employees. Forever 21 values all of its employees and made every effort to affect as few employees as possible in this realignment".

Wow! Full time to part time ...

At Lana Jefferies Music LLC, none of us are paid. Big lenders tell me that I'm supposed to be paying my debts back and not using their money to finance the business. The other employees are so impressed that they volunteer their time. Naturally, we have grumblers that leave and spread vicious rumors that we don't pay anything, which is true. I'm sure that at some point, some government official will fine us for not paying us any money. We'll have to go to court and face our accusers in the mirror and pay fines for not paying us what we've worked for.

It's different when you hire people and they're not partners in the corporate management and promise them actual wages, a good job and then pull the rug out from under them like they live in Missouri or something.

Uhm, Middy ... that God fearing jerk had a track record of outsourcing all the jobs, but I see your point. He got rid of the jobs, so he'd also know how to bring them back. It makes sense in a government sort of way ... really ... it's how government works!

Jimmy, a writer like you never posts something that doesn't contain a message between the lines.

Not sure whether to kick the Missouri bum out or ask him to stay?

I prefer to follow the example set by SN. She's been so good to me over the years. I can't remember all the things that she's ever done and I am thankful for those things.

Unknown said...

There is a movement to boycott, "The Butler," because Jane Fonda is playing Nancy Reagan.

It brings to mind when SN told me that she saw rats in Walter Reed Hospital. I told a Congressman and Congress looked into it. Yet, that same Congressman wrote to me that SN doesn't deserve any recognition for her helping the USO.

So the discussion among veterans is; did Jane Fonda try to tell the government what was going on? Yeah, she gave the notes to the enemy that POW's slipped to her, but she was a shielded child of a wealthy family probably having never seen any violence.

I'm sure she told her father. She must have told someone.

Then there is the fact that rich folks never travel alone. So someone else saw what she saw and no one said anything.

And why is Jane Fonda playing the wife of a Republican President in a time when the CIA and NSA are coming clean?

It's suspicious behavior and considering the Cold War mentality from the 1950's, it should be viewed as a veil concealing even more lies that we aren't aware of.

Middy, I got these ideas for films, but I have no actors and no budget. Just theories.

Theories involving Jimmy's blogs, feature films and how to influence an ever increasing number of Internet viewers.

It was 1956 when the United States discovered that they were OUT in the COLD when the rug was pulled out from underneath of them by other allies. It was a counterintelligence embarrassment.

Now, what if the U.S. has once again been tossed under the bus and that alone gives us lots of new enemies. Pakistan proved that we can't trust anyone.

So, what's the answer?

Jimmy, Middy, CJ joining forces with LJM. The answer is just so simple and so cool. We could change the world.

Unknown said...

This should really irritate Pevie.

SN made the Christian Science Monitor. That's pretty impressive, even though the story was sorely misconstructed. Does anyone actually care when the CMT show Crossroads began?

But it's a good ploy to use LA and SN together to increase viewership. Both powerful people!

I don't blame SN for being wary of people doing her songs ... I'm thinking elevator 1956 big band version of some really rockin' song!

Just imagine, kind of swaying back and forth to the 1956 music and virtually inserting long gone dancers from the era ... all in the elevator. Dentist's offices. Just the music ... no words. Big band. Hideous.

This is the kind of music that SN must stop in the future! Kids behaving like Lawrence Welk. Chaos.

Well there's a lot of strange stuff out there on the Internet.

Did you know that President Obama was preselected as President in 1971? Yep. A secret government program created Obama.

http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-pre-identified-as-president-by-secret-darpa-cia-time-travel-program

Oh and dinosaurs were invented by the CIA to prevent unauthorized time travel.

The theory of Time Travel suggests that an object does not move, but rather it Time itself moves. It is easiest done in something called, Psychic Time Travel. A Navy SEAL thought it was time to tell the truth about Time.

Supposedly some dude came from 2038 and told the government that time travel was real and apparently the CIA had to make dinosaurs to eat illegal Time Travelers. Harsh man!

Hence the SN song, Planets of the Universe. And we just want the song from the CD for the theme song of Lawn Chair Time Machine. We're gonna need a budget.

Hey Middy! We're going kayaking this week. Be here on Thursday if you wanna go. Let's talk about the movie.

The Three Stooges Meet Hercules.

When the stooges travel back in time ... 1962. http://youtu.be/Spk24OhxG3g

Film footage from a Charlie Chaplin movie shows a woman talking on a cell phone. "Can you hear me now?"

http://youtu.be/HhA6cxtncgY

We could make films like this. "Look at this photograph of a man in 1956 with a mysterious lawn chair." They did a pretty good job with the video and got over 600K views.

http://youtu.be/1Gtf0yXLI7A

Look at the number of views of more Time Traveler images. Millions of views. Lots and lots of money.

http://youtu.be/2ySDxxdHBks

People like time travel and it's mildly controversial while easy to make. The lawn chair would just be a funny gimmick.

Research shows that the shorter, the better when controversial. Higher numbers. The best stuff was made in the 1950's.

Dora was a big believer in UFO phenomenon. I have always had my doubts.

Yeah, like an advanced civilization will be flying around scaring the crap out of the earthlings.

Think about it. That's akin to Middy and CJ cruising through some barrio in a glowing Humvee to observe the locals.

I'm supposed to believe that an advanced civilization is mutilating cattle, doing anal probes of the locals and they're hovering around in a triangular shaped spacecraft to sort of help earthlings to believe that they are real.

But what if they are sent by politicians of their world? Well, then they'd be offering us terrestrial aid. Bailouts. Giving Mexico ray guns and the U.S. ray guns so we can kill one another ... nope. Not seeing that.

So just HOW are these space aliens more advanced? They're obviously male because they don't ask for directions and they crash a lot.

They could be extraterrestrial celebrities and that could explain why they mess with us and why they are such snobs.

They could also be teenagers messing with the humans.

Middy, if you invest with me, I'm pretty sure that I can guarantee you a lot of fun and a lot of money!

We took a remarkable leap in viewer numbers with the movie, "Torrent," and Middy, you called it, "Esoteric," and it is.

The previous three videos had less than 200 views, collectively.

The population of Pulaski County Missouri is about 56,000 people. Yet, Torrent was watched in USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, India and many other countries.

So Torrent was actually watched by less than 1 percent of Pulaski County Missouri's population.

On Sunday, I noticed that viewership climbed until about 9:30 a.m. and picked up again in the afternoon, until about 5:30 p.m. and why? Church and 85 percent of the United States believes in God.

According to research on computer usage, 9 of 10 church pastors use computers. More research says that Christians are just as likely to use the Internet as nonbelievers.

According to a Pew study, 38 percent of Christians religiously download music.

The Torrent numbers coincide with research that says only 1 percent of Christians use the Internet as a form of church and 74 percent of Christians use the Internet. Experts agree that it's okay for Christians to watch secular movies and listen to secular music.

I have lots and lots more research into why people would watch our films. And if you watched Torrent, you see why our numbers jumped when we engaged an esoteric market.

Nothing runs without Java, so conceivably an Off-Switch could be created.

I read about that some years ago in case of national emergency, the Web would be turned off and only a government website would be up and with instructions of what to do when told to stay in your home.

midnightsstaff said...

Anyone wanting to shut down their own Java program can go to tools, open add on's and either activate or deactivate all Java programs..
I use Firefox and mine are all off right now.

.."Hackers have figured out how to exploit Java to install malicious software enabling them to commit crimes ranging from identity theft to making an infected computer part of an ad-hoc network of computers that can be used to attack websites.

"We are currently unaware of a practical solution to this problem," the Department of Homeland Security's Computer Emergency Readiness Team said in a posting on its website late on Thursday.

"This and previous Java vulnerabilities have been widely targeted by attackers, and new Java vulnerabilities are likely to be discovered," the agency said. "To defend against this and future Java vulnerabilities, disable Java in Web browsers."

..that was earlier this year and it hasn't improved since.
Most people simply don't need Java for normal operations.

Sorry Middy. We were kayaking and ended the day in the Cave Restaurant near Richland Missouri. It's the only gourmet restaurant in a cave in the world! The owner gave us permission to film Casablanca in the restaurant.

It was a nice board meeting on the Gasconade River. We decided to table the Java thing for now, until more research is done. We want to make an Ozark Casablanca based on behavior in the local people and the naughty folks that occasionally hide out in the Ozarks.

The woman returns the next day for the viewing. To her delight she Finds her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit. The suit fits him perfectly. She says to Bubba, "Whatever the Cost, I'm very satisfied. You did an excellent job And I'm very Grateful. How much did you spend?"
To her astonishment, Bubba presents her with the Blank check. "Dere's no Charge," he says.
"No, really, I must pay you for the cost of that Exquisite blue suit!" She says.
"Honestly, ma'am," Bubba says, "it din't cost me a Ting. You see, a Deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly After you left yestaday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit. I was reminded of the allegory of the cave written many years ago and the wealth of enlightenment included in that lesson.

.."the truth is that the State in which the rulers are most reluctant to govern is always the best and most quietly governed, and the State in which they are most eager, the worst"..

..and that is merely a secondary truth overshadowed by the larger of man, enlightenment and the moral responsibilities people either accept or reject.

..but Glo, no one wants to discuss anything of matter either and I feel like some backwoods preacher bringing it up.
I try to encourage the exchange of thoughts which are normally misunderstood and honor the sometimes uncomfortable truth which is normally held in contempt.

I really didn't block anyone from posting on this site, since Wednesday this week there has been some kind of boycott going on- I hope it wasn't directed at me but being the introspective and sensitive type I have to consider it probably is.

Best thing for me is to take a month or so off and see if things improve.
I have little influence over other people and I have found attempting to persuade others never works.

I started watching "The Searchers" with John Wayne and it was made in 1956. The entire movie is a metaphor.

Unknown said...

Middy, thank you for your thoughtful and nice behavior. It is greatly appreciated.

Syria is looking ugly. Told ya ... and look up America's role in the Middle East in 1956; we got blindsided. Left out in the Cold by our own allies.

Now, remember that there is a Midterm election coming, so what will the U.S. response be to Syria? Remember that it won't be the right thing, but it will be about winning an election. It won't even be about helping anyone.

Keep in mind that rich people in politics seldom actually change. It's all about being Remembered. It's why people become rich and famous too!

Sadly, one can be famous and poor. That sucks. A bunch of us are teaming up to change that.

Unknown said...

Well Middy, it looks like our conversation is over.

Keep in mind that both Republicans and Democrats want Syria gone. Maybe they haven't said as much in the news, but that's the way it is and I agree.

Syria is using chemical weapons; live by the sword, die by the sword. It's too late to change what's been done.

So what's Jimmy waiting for? Middy's done a fine job of setting me up.

Jimmy, your photos are not the only images missing.

I checked my Blogger and everything is fine.

So then I Googled, "Blogger, missing images," and I found many people with missing photos.

Jimmy, try right clicking on the missing pics and choose "show picture." See if that works.

It seems to be a symptom of Google Chrome and Firefox, according to research. I use IE. I'm not certain of this, but that's a possibility.

One family said that they lost years of photos on a family blog.

Well, I'm no one of consequence. You might ask Middy.

Just FYI, had to go back on high blood pressure medication. If you're a friend, you know the implications of that ...

Middy, while I follow some advice of the government, but it is not in your pattern of behavior to follow the advice of Homeland Security. Middy, you hate Homeland Security.

And I don't believe them. Java is the program that makes the programs work that squeals on government corruption to the American people and all I see is a massive intelligence project going on in America.

Syria has long been a target and just like Egypt, once the Muslim Brotherhood has done their job, they'll be discarded too.

Do you think we should create a romantic comedy or a comedy in the studio? I'd like to do the film, Casablanca. Modern and in the Ozarks.

Unknown said...

Both Democrats and Republicans want rid of Syria. They're weak and now the U.S. has the excuse we need to take their chemical weapons by force.

An hour ago, the Obama Administration decided to go with military intervention in Syria.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/26/world/middleeast/syria-says-un-will-get-access-to-site-of-possible-chemical-attack.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I told ya that we were going in Libya. Now it's Syria and there are golden reasons for war.

Wall Street might take a dip for a bit, but the fact is that no corporation has ever made a profit from global war. Plus the fact that many rogue countries do not obey copyright laws and Hollywood and mainstream music has a powerful lobby.

Now, when this happens, Al Qaeda et al will retaliate against America. People will die, but in the years to come, you'll make greater profits in an era of peace.

But you don't want to know this stuff. Don't blame you. Nobody wants to know the name of the cow where their milk comes from.

In 1952, the intelligence agencies and Muslim Brotherhood tried to overthrow Egypt and it failed. In 1956, MI6, Israel and France took the Suez Canal. (CIA historical documents)

If we can take Syria, Iran can be reasoned with, because they will stand alone. We can control the global oil and avert another global war.

Lessons from 1956 prove this, Jimmy and consider this: the DoD works with Hollywood and they're all retro. Coincidence?

You compare that with the studios of the 50's, that kind of resembles my barn.

If I would have only been given a chance in 1981, things might have been different. The world might be a different place now.

Because of the decisions of a coke addicted rock star, we have Obama as President and we're about to become the American Empire.

I think I found your photo problem, Jimmy.

Did you switch over to a new program? Did you have the photos in some Google file that got removed? I think that PNG is Adobe, but I am pretty sure that it's not Google compatible.

My paranoia says you got hacked. Someone might have converted your files.

My tech also said that if your Java is disabled, it leaves a door open for hackers to change anything they want. I'm not sure if this is true. It suggests that Homeland Security lied and I can't imagine that of a government agency. That's just crazy!

So Alex asked him what he would bring to that positiuon after the presidents of the last few decades. What did barret say immediately?

"Competence and accountability."

Almost fell on the floor luaghing, and immediately though of our bloggers who loathe Obama (and those of us who want to throw up at the very mention of Dubya).
