JUST WONDERING…….

Is it just me or does anyone else think Obama has his priorities mixed up?  ISIS is a serious threat to the U. S.  They have already wreaked havoc in other parts of the world and recently were responsible for the carnage in Paris.  Is Obama concerned? Apparently not enough since he is willing to let 10,000 Syrians into the U. S. with only minimal screening. Two of the participants in 9-11 actually trained in Scottsdale, Arizona. Wouldn’t that indicate how easy it is to enter this country with bad intent?

It looks like Obama is more concerned over whether the ocean will raise a couple of inches in the next million years than he is in destroying ISIS.  Dana Milbank is normally a left leaning columnist who writes for the Washington Post.  However, in his column of 11-29 he is not very complimentary to Obama; a guy he normally places on a pedestal.

Speaking of a recent East Room meeting between French President Francois Hollande and Obama, Milbank stated that Hollande and Obama were “united in their goal of defeating the Islamic State but separated by a stylistic gulf as wide as the Atlantic.”

Milbank continues:  “On the left, facing the cameras, was Francois Hollande, war President. He spoke of ‘cowardly murderers’ who ‘dishonor humanity,’ of a ‘relentless determination to fight terrorism everywhere and anywhere,’ of ‘an implacable joint response’ of ‘hunting down their leaders’ and ‘taking back the land.”

“On the right stood Barack Obama, President Oh-Bummer.” (After reading that definition, I almost fell out of my chair as it was uncharacteristic of Milbank to mock the president.)

Milbank continued:  As far as defeating the Islamic State, Obama replied:  “That’s going to be a process that involves hard, methodical work. It’s not going to be something that happens just because we take a few more airstrikes.”

When questioned about a political settlement in Syria Obama replied: “It’s going to be hard and we should not be under any illusions.”

When asked if the Paris attacks could have been avoided, Obama replied that “it’s hard; that’s a hard thing to track…That’s a tough job.”  (Really?  Was Charlie Hebdo any indication of what was to come?)

Obama continued with “Some of them think that if I were just more bellicose in expressing what we’re doing, that it would make a difference.”

In reply to the above, Milbank made a great reply: “Well, yes.”

The result of this meeting showed no surprises:  The normally unpopular Hollande saw his support numbers increase while Obama’s poll numbers decreased.  Hollande was “upbeat and can-do” while Obama was “discouraging and lawyerly.”

Maybe Obama was more concerned about the glaciers.

Merry Christmas to you too, Rick. I sent out my latest blog today. Let me know if you didn't receive it.

Mike Slater has left a new comment on your post "JUST WONDERING……. Is it just me or does anyone els...":

Jim, can you imagine Obama as president in 1941? He probably would have blamed America for the attack on Pearl Harbor. He has no guts and is a failure as president. Can't wait till he's gone.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

He is a gutless idiot who was (and is) unqualified for the office. He has been an embarrassment to this country and hopefully a Republican can win in 2016 and at least make some improvements. Not that the Republicans are that great but they are certainly an improvement over BO or Hillary, two phony lying giveaway artists.

If Twitter is a good cross section of the American public, neither one of them have a chance. I wish Ted Cruz would come on a bit more.

Hi Jim.

Although I am deeply, deeply concerned about the glaciers (especially living so close by in Arizona), I do wonder each time I get on a plane whether or not I’ll arrive at my destination. Even so, I am determined to live my life as best I can, and my next trip is to Holland, Belgium, and Luxembourg in May. Ah, Brussels – hopefully it won’t be locked down …

Although in some ways I think Obama gets a bum rap, in this matter I am just fed the %%$$# up about wordy prevarications and careful language. Good for Hollande in his rhetoric and immediate actions! It’s time we stopped pussyfooting around and, frankly, bombed the scumsukkers back to the stone age. Might that start another war? Hello – we’re already in one. We need another gutsy dude like Harry Truman to push the button (I don’t mean the nuclear button – just the strike button) and make definitive and repeated strikes. It doesn’t matter what the world reaction would be because we are always damned if we do and damned if we don’t.

Our country is still the greatest in the world, but our credibility and prestige has been badly eroded by political infighting and inaction, and moronic boobs like Trump who are making us even more of a global laughing stock. My father and uncle, who fought in WW II, would be spinning in their graves if they saw what is happening in this country today.

STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!

Great comment, Glo.

The ISIS thing is really a mess and Obama has not been any help with his indecisiveness.

Be careful on your trip to Europe. I just read yesterday where Sweden is having a huge Muslim problem. They let them stream into the country and I've heard they are creating quite a bit of havoc.

I expect more damage here and it's hard to believe that some ISIS guys won't sneak in here with the Syrians. I hope i am wrong; there needs to be heavy screening of anyone from over there who wants in here.

The thing that amazes me the most is that this man was re-elected in 2012...his team evidently can cover up his inaccuracies as President, and of course, the 47% who receive the freebies are always there to support any socialist who makes everyone the same regardless of an individual's ability to work hard and enjoy life.

Let me share a funny story with you...fictitious of course, but funny, funny...

During the Obama - Romney presidential race in 2012, a poll was taken at Auburn, Alabama, and the results came back with Romney getting 100% & Obama 0%....the reason being that you put a 'G' in front of Obama...it spells GO-BAMA....which is a no-no in Auburn.

Jim McAllister said...

Hi Dave,

He may not have been re-elected in 2012 if that damn Mother Jones hadn't produced the tape of Romney making that 47% statement. I can't think of a dirtier business than politics.

Dave,

I'm enjoying seeing the guys at the Washington Post withdraw from the Obama bandwagon. There is Milbank whose column I used for the blog and now I see Richard Cohen, who has always praised BO, withdrawing with the realization that the guy is the mistake most of us thought from the beginning. It's encouraging to see the guy finally exposed in print.

This country has slipped a lot from our youth. Too many are happy to sponge off the government. It used to be embarrassing for people to do that but now they are glad to. Poor breeding lack of self esteem.

Good comment on Auburn-Alabama. So true!

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

Thanks for the compliment. I see that Richard Cohen of the Washington Post has joined Dana Milbankj in their opinion of Obama. Hopefully it will snowball.

From Jack Reed....

Jim,

I have been remiss about writing you to find out how you are doing. We have had a little excitement around here as Sam had surgery in early September and it went south and she had several more to correct problems. She spent 2 weeks in ICU, a couple more in what I call ICU Light, then a couple in rehab. She is home now and we are waiting an a 5th. surgery to put her back to normal. Then it will be 6 weeks of recovery before I can run her out of the house and back to work.

We have bought several firearms since I last wrote you and we still haven't got together with you to shoot anything. My daughter Kelli and I have finally started going to the range again and we just shot a new AR-15 I bought. Great shooting rifle and the fact that Kelli shoots it makes me feel good as she doesn't do rifles. I have a couple of liberal friends and some relatives that would have to change their shorts if they saw the horrible "black rifle". I am going to get a bottle of Liberal Tears gun oil to keep around for when they visit.

Politics aren't getting any better as time passes. I can only hope we get some "change" in '16.

Not going to make Glitters this year but I still think of meeting you down there that year. Jessi still goes with her aides and loves it but the crowds and my bum leg makes it hard for Sam and I. She can't get around right now anyway so it's a wash.

This is turning into a novel so I'll close it and wish you a early Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Jim McAllister said...

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the note. Sorry to hear of Sam's ailments but glad to hear that she is recovering and will be back on her feet soon.

The liberals are funny with their fear of guns. If we ever had to turn in our guns they would be the first to complain about not having protection. The way things are going now, Obama better shut up about trying to collect guns. I feel that if he wants them so bad he should personally go out and try to collect them. I would suggest he go into the mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky and see how that works for him. It would be a quick "Bye-bye BO!"

The Glitter was a lot of fun that year. Sorry you won't be able to make it.. Take care and have a great holiday.

I just read that Sheriff Joe is calling out the posse, so to speak. He said all armed Americans should gun down a terrorist if they start firing.

A weird circumstance of the shootings, within minutes of the announcement, stocks jumped 1 percent for gun makers. That's because instead of being disgusted by guns, first timers are buying a firearm and taking lessons.

Did you know that the National Cancer Society is a part of the U.S. government and they recommend marijuana as an herbal medication and say it's been used for thousands of years! They caution that it's illegal. Do you ever get the feeling that some of the government is itchin' to tell the truth, but can't?

Globally, marijuana was made illegal by Egypt and the League of Nations a long time ago. So if they did that without evidence, it kind of makes you wonder about global warming.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

Glad to see those gun stocks are going up and more people are buying them and taking lessons. As usual, Obama is full of 'it'. I would love to see him try and collect guns.

Of all the times in history we have had threats, now is one of the worst. If anything we need more guns in circulation just to defend ourselves.

With his screw ups in those meetings in Paris and the attitude of some news guys who now have discovered what a joke he is, he best be shutting up about gun confiscation. The word is out: He is of no use in running this country.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, ever time Obama opens his mouth about more gun control gun and ammo sales go through the roof. On black Friday the FBI had over a 180,000 requests for background checks from people wanting to buy guns. Obama is the best thing that ever happened to gun and ammo makers.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

I was watching Fox this morning when they switched to Washington for comments by our imitation president about the shootings in California. It was no surprise to see him immediately mention the importance of gun control as if making guns harder to get would work. What a naive SOB he is; no common sense whatsoever; just the typical liberal nonsense he always spews.

With the response to his ignorance selling more guns than ever for S&W and others, those companies should send contributions to him for helping increase their business.

All I have is my little silver .38 S&W loaded and ready just in case a situation arises. No idiot like him is going to make me turn it in.

Unknown said...

Okay, Jimmy. I put the report before a test cyber-test audience, saved all nine pages as a jpg to post on Facebook and made a copy as a pdf file and delivered to a couple of groups. Here's an except ...

"In 1900, there were 64 cancer deaths per 100,000 people in the United States and by 1932, when cannabis was officially made illegal, the mortality rate had nearly doubled at 123/100,000 and this significant change was noted on page 15 of the 1932 mortality statistics report printed by the U.S. government. Cancer rates in the United States peaked in 1991 with 215 deaths per 100,000 and has decreased to 173/100,000 people in 2013 . The U.S. government statistics inadvertently suggest a correlation between increased marijuana use from 1990 and other government reports of decreased cancer rates from that period and into the medical marijuana movement of today.

Missouri's marijuana law enforcement officers have increased marijuana arrests while illegal medical marijuana use has increased at the same rate and cancer deaths are falling."

"Marijuana Legalization: And Why Cannabis Is Good For Missouri" by Rick Kepple

I obsessed over that story for two days, Jimmy. I need to watch that. I don't take care of myself when I'm engrossed in research. The reaction from the client was, "OH MY GOD! How did you do that in just two days?"

I get the same reaction from the music business as I do politicians. So these reports will be published online and free to Americans to view.

Unknown said...

Jimmy, more sheriff's are coming out to say that their approved concealed carry holders possess their guns while shopping in light of evidence that those two shooters were al Qaeda. Second Rate Americans who can legally BUY a gun, but can't legally carry one concealed should NOT carry openly! No.

Sheriff's made their decisions and now they must live with them.

Open carry gun owners should NOT carry a gun, because when Bad Guys go into stores, the person with the visible guns will be shot first. That's why there are concealed carry permits, so you see, sheriff's want certain people who can legally buy guns, but not carry in secret, to die first.

Both Hollywood and government consider me dangerous just for the way I think. They don't want me protecting them. Nope. They made their decisions too.

How about that I just write a report detailing how screwed we all are?

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

It looks like you have done your research! I'm impressed and I hope you get the attention you deserve for coming up with the facts.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

I never go anywhere without my trusty S&W .38 but I keep it in the glove box. Our gun laws are pretty loose in AZ, no carry permnit necessary but I'm not about to get a holstewr.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, more gun laws won't change anything. California has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation yet two terrorists were able ti kill 14 and wound 21 people which proves that gun laws don't work. I"m sick and tired of liberal gun haters blaming the NRA for every shooting. Liberals don't own guns, know nothing about guns yet feel free to tell us we shouldn't have guns. They can kiss my ass. I've had guns for over 40 years and don't intend to give them up.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

Obama is, as usual, spouting off about stricter gun laws but it isn't going to happen. His executive orders on guns aren't worth the paper they are written on and he knows it. I love it because the fool is so busy trying to leave some kind of positive legacy that it drives him crazy to not be able to do it.

I see where the FBI is calling San Bernardino and act of terror. That surprised me as Obama hates to admit that his Muslim buddies may be trying to do something sinister to this country.

Screw the stupid liberals and their softhearted and ill informed ways of looking at guns. They would like to think that everyone is basically good and desires peace. They are clueless.

Unknown said...

It's worse than just a terror attack, Jimmy.

Working backwards, the wife was a Pakistan woman living in Saudi Arabia and brought to the United States on a fiance visa, approved by the U.S. government and it turns out that she was a member of al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda attacked in a two-person hit squad, just like in Texas against the Draw Muhammad attack. That's why sheriffs are telling Americans to pack their pistols.

And Jimmy, the number one place to have a gun stolen is from a car. Carrying it is safer for you and everyone.

Unknown said...

Thanks for the compliment about the report, Jimmy. A couple of newspaper editors are looking at it for a possible story.

I went out to eat yesterday, got Jen's meal to go since she doesn't like being seen in public with me (which is why she's just like SN) and I forgot the meal at the restaurant. I am increasingly forgetting things. I feel like John Travolta in the movie, Phenomenon sometimes.

I think I'd be rather handy to have around in Scottsdale to advise rich folks.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

The good news is that the two bastards are both dead. The bad news is that under Obama there are probably plenty more like them waiting in the wings. The clown just doesn't get it; he is too sympathetic to his brother Muslims. I'm sure this isn't the end of this. There will be more isolated incidents which he will probably blame on global warming.

You're right about guns in the car. They are asking to be stolen.

Stay "locked and loaded," I know I am.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

It shows the stupidity of California when they re-elect that 1960's reject governor again. He was worthless then and he has been worthless in his reincarnation. Maybe he should dredge up his idiot 1960's girlfriend Linda Ronstadt to join him although he may not want her since she has gained about 200 pounds since those days.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, they call California the land of fruits, nuts and flakes for a reason. I won't even go there anymore. Last time I was there was in 2012 because my niece was getting married in San Francisco. I carried my gun with me because of all the freaks in that town. I didn't care about their gun laws.

I watched Obama's speech last night. That was 15 minutes I'll never get back in my life. What a loser.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

You did better than I did; I was afraid I would instinctively throw a shoe through the TV if I saw the worthless SOB and his latest sob story. He is the biggest embarrassment this country has ever had. Now he has that idiot Loretta Lynch investigating the Chicago Police Dept. I feel sorry for the cops there having to put up with that stuff amidst all the black crime there.

I just hope a Republican can win next year. If we get Hillary, it will be more of the same mentality and everything I read points to her as a winner. As far as the Repubs. I like Trump but don't think he can win. If he can't, I hope Cruz can. In the meantime stay locked and loaded when the 10,000 Syrian refugee buddies of Obama come marching in here.

Who would have ever thought this would be happening in the USA.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, I need to stop watching that SOB because it's not good for my blood pressure. He's the most worthless president I've ever seen. I see that after his speech gun sales soared. He's the best thing that ever happened to gun makers.

I like Trump and Cruz and would vote for either one. Deb's been donating to Cruz.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

I didn't watch his blather of a speech. We will be rid of him next year unless we get lucky and he falls off the Empire State Building or something like that (only by accident, of course LOL).

I was watching Fox when Colonel Peters called him a "pussy." I couldn't stop laughing and I wish he wouldn't have apologized. He was suspended for 2 weeks but it was worth it.

It's a sad commentary when a guy like Obama can even get elected, especially twice. It shows how far this country has fallen. It's been said that things come in cycles and we happen to be stuck in the one with him. Hopefully, Cruz or Trump can get elected and reverse this mess.

I love it that gun sales increase every time the fool opens his mouth. It shows how much the majority cares about his stupid ass liberal ideas. Teddy Roosevelt was right when he said "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Fortunately, a lot of Americans are taking that advice.

Unknown said...

Hey Jimmy, had a bad spell for a few days. Goes along with the territory. I just watched the general on Youtube saying that bit on the news and then the host warned Peters that he can't say that on the air. Perhaps his good manners prevented him from interrupting. It was rigged. You don't say that about your superior.

The stock numbers do go up on firearm companies. After the California thing, gun maker stocks went up.

I got everyone on the farm to pick up the place and put the trash out and then Jen told me that I had my days wrong.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, Liberals are clueless. Just read an article in the Republic today from Richard Cohen of the Washington Post blaming, you guessed it, the NRA for the shooting in California. He thinks this country should be more like countries that have banned guns. He calls for more gun control laws and restricting gun ownership. What he doesn't understand is we have a 2nd amendment and the NRA which other countries don't have.

Maybe when liberals like him, Montini and Roberts get mugged and robbed and have their homes broken into they will change their tune but I doubt. Liberals aren't that smart.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike

Cohen has been preaching his liberal bullshit for years in the Washington Post. He and Milbank and Eugene Parker are the resident big time libs at that paper and it surprised me when when Milbank and Cohen came out blasting Obama over Paris. I guess it reinforces what a clown Obama is that those super libs would say anything against him.

These guys live in a netherworld where everything is roses and peaceful and mean things like guns don't exist. They must come from some fantasy place on another planet to be so stupid as to believe human beings are so worthy. That's why I was so shocked when they stuck it to Obama.

I see where the South Carolina polls showed Trump leading at 30% popularity before his Muslim statement and 38% AFTER he said it. I think that is the general feeling now in a lot of places. People are afraid and these worthless libs like Obama and his crew can't see it. I read today that one of the Guantanamo guys he released in 2012 is back as one of the Al Queda leaders.

It never ends with these a-holes.

Unknown said...

Well Jimmy, up again early in the morning and this time it was bad. Thought I was going to have to call an ambulance.

Been reading about those hundreds of cell phones purchased from Missouri stores lately. No wonder I have stomach problems.

Mike Slater said...

Jim. every time Trump says something his poll numbers go up which drives the main stream media and the Republican establishment crazy. Now I'm hearing talk of a brokered Republican convention to stop Trump from being the nominee. The American people are angry and Trump has tapped into that.

Jim McAllister said...

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad, Rick. Hang in there; we need you.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

This could be a very unique election. It's still almost eleven months away but I've never seen anything like the Trump bandwagon. Even with many of his own party not supporting him, he is storming the polls. That dumb statement by Graham hasn't hurt him at all; it just makes Graham look like the fool he is.

I don't want to see a third party though; I think that would give it to Hillary. I just hope Donald keeps getting those high poll numbers forcing the Republicans to bite their tongues and accept him. They will be damned lucky to have him and have an "R" in the office whether they like it or not. I know one thing; it won't be Graham.

Unknown said...

To top it off, I have to go to court on Friday, because I'm pretty sure that a former driver I had with my Jeep passed a stopped school bus. I am always on the computer, Jimmy. I was creating a song that day with squirrel calls and turkey calls. I looked it up. The law specifically states that because I own the vehicle, that I am at fault, if the court doesn't know who the driver was. Then there's the matter of, that I do not drive after dark and this infraction was at night. Thought about the Alford Plea, where yeah it's my Jeep, but it wasn't me driving, where innocence is retained, but it's technically a guilty plea. Apparently it's used very often in the Missouri courts.

It will look in the media that I went around a parked school bus as a conviction, because that's how the ticket that was mailed to me, appears. But the vehicle color is different in the ticket than it is in the registration. So being in poor health and now this court stuff. The doc will be pissed on the day before court, that I'm not taking any heart related medications. I don't see how it matters much.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

I hope you can beat that charge. The cops really frown on passing parked school buses. Good luck with that.

Unknown said...

I really frown on passing school buses! I haven't been behind a school bus in years. Why? I guess the way they got it looking is that I was driving.

The media said that the cops are trying to figure out the cell phone purchases and the propane tank thefts. I says, well I got this ticket thing and I'm obsessing on that, otherwise I'd help. Can only obsess about one thing at a time. I suppose the phones could be for resale overseas to countries that they can't get Chinese made products.

Except, as I noted, they bought phones and no refill cards according to the stories. Well, take one cell phone, wire it up to 20 tanks all in a row along a parade route and you got yourself a Daisy-Chain. I Googled it. Seems I'm the only one who's thought of this.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, if you recall the Republican establishment didn't like Reagan even though he won two landslide elections. The establishment ran moderates in 2008 and 2012 and we know how that turned out. Maybe it's time to try something different.

Jim McAllister said...

Good points, Mike.

A lot of people are really pissed off and I think are looking for someone more hardassed. Trump fits the bill well as he certainly is to the point in how he feels. The thing that may hurt him is he really is belligerent which appeals to guys like us who are sick of mealy mouthed giveaway fools like Obama but I'm not sure about how he will appeal to some of the electorate; for example, the female vote. He would still get my vote if he is nominated but will women vote for him over another woman even if it is Hillary?

Cruz seems to be tough too and a bit more middle of the road. Maybe he can pull it off. The Iowa polls have recently swung over to him by about 10 points. To me he is more likable and experienced in politics; kind of like Trump lite.

At this time, I'll take either guy over Hillary.

Unknown said...

Jimmy, there's something going on ... you know how I like to be on the computer. Well, Facebook timecodes EVERYTHING. I'm being targeted.

So I'm finding time and date codes where I'm at home making a song with a squirrel and turkey (in calls) with guitar, bass, drums and last save was two days after the event. I saved it two days later.

So then I asked another driver. She was on the graveyard shift at work. The only other driver that would have had it is covered by the cops themselves who vouched for her cab license. Fact is, I can't put anyone in the driver's seat at that time, or day.

So someone's lying making the report to the police, or it is the police. Wouldn't be the first time. That's even worse than just a plain ticket, Jimmy. If it's the cops, who would I file a report with?

Unknown said...

Look at this Jimmy! Bacterial infection in the mind will cause cognitive brain damage. But you already knew that, huh? So I was right to give up driving. http://mpkb.org/home/symptoms/neurological/cognitive

I don't believe anyone was driving the Jeep that day. Particularly me, because I don't trust my thoughts anymore.

See, that's pretty responsible, huh? See, BO should get a MRI. It could be bacterial that is making him think he's king of the Muslims.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, I don't want any woman for president, Hillary or otherwise unless it's a Margret Thatcher or Golda Meir. Someone who is strong on National defense. Hillary doesn't fit the bill on that. She would be more like Obama which we don't need.

What I'm about to say has gotten me in trouble before and probably will again but I think it was a mistake to give women the vote.My wife hates it when I say it but when you look at history after the Civil War before women got the vote the country mostly was run by Republicans. There were very few Democrat presidents in that span.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

I'm surprised Debbie will even speak to you! LOL The way it looks by the current polls, Hillary is looking a lot stronger than I expected. That is disappointing as I can't stand the sight of her. Once again it proves that we should never be surprised by the stupidity of the American voter. There was a time when people were ashamed to take government handouts; now a candidate has to promise them or lose.

I read today where the polls say she would beat Trump even though he is a runaway first place in the polls for Republicans. I'm afraid he is going to upset the whole system. He has a lot of support but is an obnoxious SOB which will turn off a lot of people. I think Hillary will get a lot of female votes because she is a women but hopefully she will get as many against her for the same reason.

The above reasoning is pretty much the norm for now. We have to hope that a lot of voters are laying low and not saying much but will come forth on election day to defeat Hillary.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, a lot of women but not all vote on emotion. They care about looks or gender and don't study the issues. It's what Rush calls low information voters. Liberal women will vote for Hillary just because she's a woman. The fact that she's a liar and is being investigated by the FBI won't bother them.

Minorites and those on the government dole are the base of the Democrat party. Without them the Democrats would never win an election.

BTW, Deb still actually speaks to me. We have been married for over 35 years. Over the years I've turned her into a conservative.

Unknown said...

Trump is on the downhill slide now. I doubt he can even make it as a billionaire now.

I made the big wigs in my county angry at me. The State of Missouri said my Jeep, my responsibility. Doesn't matter who was driving ... wrong color though. Just have to see what the judge says.

Basically I got given the big heave-ho, Jimmy. Later on, ya old man! That's what they're saying. You were once a good Army soldier and a good writer, but you're nobody now! And then the good people will throw rocks at me and chase me off.

You wait, Jimmy. You're old, same as me. The government will throw you under the bus too. Except, mine is a real bus.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

You comment: "Minorites and those on the government dole are the base of the Democrat party. Without them the Democrats would never win an election."

I agree and that is the problem. We have so many of those people voting (legally or illegally) that it is tough for intelligent voters to make up the ground. That's the way it is in a government dependent society like the US has become under clowns like Obama and Dems at the local level. Good examples are places like Ferguson and Baltimore where disagreements are met with violence and looting. All those people know is that they have to follow the guy who gives away the doorknobs. I remember a black women praising Obama a few years ago because he gave her a free cell phone for her vote. It's a tough mentality to fight.

Glad to see you and Deb have been together 35 years; very commendable. Barb and I celebrated number 48 last August. Time really zips by! I would hate to be part of the dating scene now.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, it's sad that people on the dole get to vote. Deb and I have family members on the dole. They are on Social Security disability which is a scam. Some of them could work if they wanted to but would rather sit on their dead asses and collect a check every month. Luckily they don't vote.

You're closing in on 50 years which is amazing. My parents were closing in for 50 but my dad passed away a month before their 50th.

You're a lucky guy to have found the right girl the first time. Deb and I were both married before and I guess we learned from our mistakes.

We both wish you and Barb a merry Christmas and happy new year.

It's a lot different world now. The Dems have spoiled people to the point that they don't want to work since they can get by on other people's dime. I don't know how they do it. There was a time when people had pride; not so much anymore. Places like churches pitched in to help those in need.

I was lucky getting Barb. I got out of the USAF on Sept. 10, 1965 and went back home to Cincinnati. While I was gone Barb and her mother and brother moved into an apartment next door. My mother told me there was a pretty, young girl living next door who was a sophomore at U of Cincinnati. Since I was enrolled at Cincy I figured I might as well meet this girl (Barb) and offer her some rides to school if our schedules were similar. One day I met her over the back fence and I was smitten at once. She was a total member of babedom! It was a lucky meeting for me and in August of '67 after we both graduated, we got married. The rest is history; we have had a great run and next August will be 50 years. Fate is a funny thing.

Merry Christmas to you and Deb too.
