SOUTH SCOTTSDALE STUFF AND VOTE "NO" ON NOVEMBER 5.

A few months ago the Scottsdale City Council approved plans for apartments to be built on the former Pitre Buick property on McDowell.  Seriously, do we need more apartments?   Scottsdale must think so as probably the ugliest apartments yet have just been built at Lincoln and Scottsdale Roads plus the Borgata will soon be razed for, that’s correct, MORE apartments!

"Skydiaper"  in front of SkySong in Scottsdale
Then there is Skysong at McDowell and Scottsdale Road which replaced Los Arcos and was supposed to revitalize the area.  When I drive by, it looks like a couple of dead box shaped office buildings with some sort of cloth artistry in front.   As my friend Mike says, they ought to call it “Skydiaper.”

Did I mention a bunch of new apartments are being built at SkySong?  Yeah, more cookie cutter apartments.  Many years from now probably the most memorable event that ever happened at that intersection won’t be SkySong but will be the 2005 shooting murder at a night club across the street in Papago Plaza.

There’s more but you get the point.  However, there might possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel for McDowell in the form of something called the Scottsdale Gateway Alliance.  The Scottsdale Republic reports that this group is working on a plan to revitalize McDowell Road and the surrounding neighborhoods.  That sounds promising as long as the scourge of light rail isn’t dredged up again.  With the current city council and the Chamber of Commerce being involved, one never knows if that monster’s head will ever be cut off.

Perhaps we will someday see a beautiful new AJ’s market spring up to join long time south Scottsdale entrepreneurs like Babe’s Cabaret and Zorba’s Adult Bookstore.  Now, there’s a combination!  As far as SkySong, I don’t know if I will ever accept it.  I loved Los Arcos and think a remodeled version of it would have been a better use of the property.  After all, where else could you get the “Lu Ann Special” at Luby’s Cafeteria and then walk next door to Sears and buy a new hammer?

Final note:  By now everyone should know that November 5th is Election Day in Scottsdale.  Citizens are being asked to vote on whether they want to tax themselves for the next 25 years to pay off four bond propositions costing $212 million bucks.  Councilmen Guy Phillips and Bob Littlefield know the propositions are a boondoggle and adamantly suggest that you vote “NO” on all four items.  I agree and if you click here you will see a note from Councilman Phillips in John Washington’s blog explaining why in simple language.

O-k.. I'll go first..
I have no idea why you don't like the camel bazaar look, It pretty much matches my tastes- you ought to see my balcony, a two tone star of david sunscreen and a combo of Christmas lights in the planters with genuine rice mat privacy screens.
I might still get the flamingos.
all I need is a longboard hanging between the roof peaks and the look would be complete.

I gotta admit that now with the Coyotes situation pretty stable and what appears to be solid ownership, that Arco arena idea would really make sense.

..but then if I had the benefit of a rear view mirror in economics I would be living in Maui.
..same thing goes for whoever let that arena go to Glendale.. but there goes the bond issue issue again.

Middy,

You need to add a couple of those purple globes on a stand next to the famingos; it's a nice touch.

October third they drop the puck in Glendale. Bissonette already has a 10 game suspension for his incident in a pre season game.

Fire up the Zamboni!

Maui. Okay, I wish I lived in Maui and had all the money I would ever need, because I'm a brilliant artist. Amen. Done.

That tent looking thing looks like someone got paid by some executive in a corporation who wants to be remembered. I have to admit that it does look unforgettable.

I was thinking about going to Wal-Mart, get some plastic tarps and make a replica of the hideous thing in my yard.

Lana said that she doesn't agree that it's hideous, but it looks like "a fricking satellite dish that should be out in the middle of nowhere so people can't see it."

That's why she's the CEO.

midnightsstaff said...

maybe a statue or something Jim to tie the whole theme together and segue right into the future vision of Scottsdale by the Sea
after the big earthquake, maybe Paula could head the committee to find a suitable artist.

I suggest you downsize the city limits a bit, establish some defensive borders (including your own house of course) probably should get started on a razor wire fence; maybe with a little sleight of hand you could tie the costs into one of these school bond elections blowing up the bond cost but assuring it's passing- after all maintaining public safety is "for the kids".
bigger bond.. win/win.. or if that doesn't work maybe getting a light rail could help pay for the costs- that's a sure fire money maker.

It's not as tho we don't already think of you as a bunch of insufferable elitists already-lol.. I can guarantee at least the people just east of the Mississippi do.
speakin' of..

Yeah Rick, go long on those blue tarps.. might come in handy to have a plan "B" in place if you have to go mobile.
Maui is out of the question, so pass on the tattoo.

I'm just glad that I am in the hinterland of north Scottsdale.

South Scottsdale is trying to recover and I give them credit for that but it will take a while.

When the car dealers left McDowell, it started coming apart. There have been suggestions of what can be done; one of which is kind of comical. The guy wants to build a bridge above McDowell to replicate the similar structure new York has.

I hope he is not holding his breath waiting for the money for that!

Tattoo ... I'm drawing a blank. Going mobile? Only with a good friend, otherwise I'm too old.

I got some really very cool looking Green Screen background video. Lana calls it something you'd see on "Sunday Morning," on CBS. Tranquil.

On the political stuff: do your research, Jimmy.

Who's in the new photo? Your dad? White socks. Looks like a scene from when I was a kid and the old man in from the field reading the paper.

That was too funny, Middy. The video, I mean.

Obamacare is supposed to have a provision where the doctors have to ask if you have guns in your home. Admit it and almost everyone is on a pill for depression, etc. these days and they'll have the local sheriff come and get your guns.

The VA is already doing this and doctors are really damn close to disarming me, because of SN. That's right. She hasn't said that she knows me and because I said that I know her, I'm automatically guilty. The doctor already had another doctor in the last visit that I had and they asked about my life.

Nevermind that I've worked as a journalist. In fact, the idea that someone looking like me writes at all goes in my medical record.

The VA also says that I'm wasting my time in anything creative and there's no money in it.

The civilian doctors will be asking you guys soon. I wonder if they'll disarm SN for saying that she knows me? That would be weird.

Unknown said...

Oh. I forgot the video!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEpiXbb9EJs

Following the Navy shooting, you can bet that doctors will be required to ask about the guns in your home.

Sorry Jimmy. Just adding to Middy's post.

We're done for, Jimmy. Once they take our guns, they could shut down my studio, put me in a mental health facility, cut my income down to a hundred bucks a month and that's it. Shut the writer up.

Jimmy and Middy can be my roommates!

Jim:

Kind of sounds like Chandler. We defeated a school override last fall and now the teachers and others are at it again wanting us to approve a tax increase that will add "only" .25 cents per day per home. Not sure when the election is but I plan to vote no whenever. It is "Yes for chandler Students.org" and will add security guards, decrease class sizes and more goodies. We are taxed out and the voters in Scottsdale should be very wary too.

Our property taxes already went up by almost $100 this year, we don't need more money thrown at a non-existent problem. Of course, the schools will spend any money they get and neglect maintenance so they can call for yet another bond or tax increase. Does it ever end?

Jim Johnson

Jim McAllister said...

Jim,

Fortunately I don't think this boondoggle will pass. They tried something similar a couple years ago and it went down big. A lot of special interests involved and the idea of paying 25 years on it will help kill it.

My property taxes are also up. I received my bill last week and it is $116 higher than last year. If this thing would pass, it would be even more next year. The hell with them; let them tighten their belts like we have too.

They want iPads for kindergartners! Let them learn cursive writing like we did.

Hope you are doing well.

Jim / enjoyed your blog and the link to the bond issue. It hit me that you ought to consider running for the council. You'd bring a lot of something seldom seen - common sense and local knowledge. With demise of current blog site, you must be on Blog5.0. The guy who was brought in to get things going on the blog 2 years ago - a very nice guy - got the axe in the last shakeup. Anyway, not to early to start gathering signatures to get on the ballot!

From Uremus:

totally agree with you on Los Arcos....and, IMHO, downtown and south Scottsdale, which once was rather plain (except for the old-town area around 5th and Scottsdale) has become rather dreary-and-plain, if not simply ugly. I used to go to what I call Old Town at least once a week...just to browse if nothing else...the shops were both highly interesting and fun to browse....don't even bother to drive through it anymore.

Jim McAllister said...

Sam,

They have let the younger crowd take over by having all those bars and the accompanying headaches. Fights in garages, stabbings, etc. All are a bad deal but the city keeps looking the other way. I'm going to laugh when the beach club fad disappears and they are stuck with those places. The young are fickle; they will leave Scottsdale in a minute if something new comes to Tempe or Glendale.

Jim McAllister said...

Hi Ken.

Thanks for the nice words; I've been doing that blog for a long time. Just as well I guess since the ones at the Rep keep going away. I talked to Phil today and he said they are going to another blog with just a few people and said I was invited to join. Their biggest mistake was dumping the AZ Central blogs and going through Facebook.

Yeah, as Queen used to say, "Another one bites the dust." This time I guess it was it was John Triplett who seemed like a decent guy the few times I talked to him.

They just keep cutting; I see Dale Hajek got it too; he was there forever and a nice guy. He was the first one I submitted a blog to in 2005.

Looks like you got out just in time. I hate to see it happening; I still love newspapers but I guess a lot of guys lamented the day when Ford quit making the Model T.

Take care, thanks for the note.

Don't you wish that tent in Scottsdale could be morphed into something beautiful? Or move gypsies in to make it a living sculpture.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, One of the main reasons we moved to Sun City was the fact there are no school taxes. We no longer have to vote on the endless school bond elections. We're saving $500 a year on property taxes. Of course the down side is it's $400 a year for the amenities such as pools and workout facilities etc. if you use them or not.

Jim McAllister said...

Rick,

I found that photo online and thought I would use it for a few days.

That's probably what I would have looked like in the 1940's sitting by my radio with my newspaper listening to Red Skelton or Edward R. Murrow.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

They overdo it here with these elections. That school override a couple of years ago was soundly defeated and here they are again bringing it back plus more stuff.

They think it is a necessity to supply kindergarten kids with iPads. I don't think so! They also think 26 kids is a big class. When I was in grade school we always had 36 to 38. and somehow I survived.

I realize I am a bit old fashioned but some of the stuff they want today seems silly to me and way too expensive.

Jim McAllister said...

Steve,

Thanks for posting that; very fascinating.

I'd like to know how much over sticker price they will get for the cars that are new.

It's quite a case of supply and demand. A brand new '57 Chevy probably stickered for about $2,500 but those will be a lot more than that and well worth it. Just clean them up, put in oil and gas, and roll!

Unknown said...

"Just clean them up, put in oil and gas, and roll!"

Right. Good luck with that.

I need working capital. About $50K in a check should get us by and take it out of that $1.5 million that I'm owed. I need it this week too. I need a budget if things are gonna happen.

Unknown said...

"Seriously, do we need more apartments?"

With 80 percent of Americans having bad credit, I have no clue how the landlords will find anyone who can qualify to rent them, so no, Scottsdale doesn't need more apartments. Take a lesson from that company and just erect luxury tents and it's "green" with dirt floors. With all the drug dealers in Scottsdale, it should be easy to sell canvas condos to coke addicted idiots. How about a yurt?

Stevebuzzardo said...

Jim,
its strange the way he just closed up the dealership and left brand new cars in there.
And he never sold used cars, just stored them on his farm.

And no vandalism either, the cars were left untouched for 50 years.

Unknown said...

I've occasionally heard about those cars over there, but that's actually common when you have family who care. You hang onto stuff to let the kids sell it when you're pushing up daisies. Then they can have parties, make foolish investments and magnify your example.

I prefer to choose my family and some are real family, but most aren't. Right Jimmy? Middy? Right.

Unknown said...

And thanks to Middy, for the blessing. Once blacklisted, given a chance. That's pretty cool.

That's like finding an entire fleet of Chevy cars from long ago! Maybe cooler.

Today, as an exercise in church, everyone was to draw a picture of the name they chose from a hat. Predictably, no one had my name, even though I drew a face of another in a building full of fine, upstanding people. It's been that way since I was a kid. Invisible. Blacklisted. Forgotten. That's why I talk about the woman that I do, even though she only helps me, but just don't tell anyone. I don't really exist, you know.

Unknown said...

Okay, I do have to admit that I cited as my favorite scripture, "God hates religion." It's in Timothy, I think. God never did say that we had to tithe ten percent either. That was later changed.

Sorry Jimmy. Does Middy need a roommate? We'd have some fascinating conversations.

Mike Slater said...

Jim, I hear that from my daughter-in-law, who is a teacher, all the time. If the schools just had more money everything would be just fine. Sorry but I'm not buying it.

It's typical for any government agency. Take CPS for example, it's a screwed up agency and yet their answer is just give us more money.

More money never equates to better results.

Unknown said...

A veteran music artist just told me that I don't have the experience for the entertainment business. I'm to grow some humility.

"More money never equates to better results."

Gee, my zero budget compared to Speilberg's. Yeah, no difference. Or so many examples. Yeah, more money can't possibly fix anything in a world run solely by money.

Guess I'll shut the studio down.

Jim McAllister said...

Steve,

Yeah, the whole thing seems a bit weird that they would just lock the doors and walk away from all that. I guess those cars were paid for to GM and why let the used cars rot on a farm?

It looks like the service dept. is just sitting there too as if it all just ended one day.

Weird.

Jim McAllister said...

Mike,

I think the schools get plenty of money but they are spoiled from wasting it and are now realizing they need or want more so what the hell; go after the taxpayers again.

Some of the stuff they want is silly plus there are special interest groups involved here. It should fail pretty badly since there are enough people around here who know what's happening here.

Some of the stuff should be paid for individually by those with the kids. I have nothing against furthering education but I think common sense has to enter in sometime.

Unknown said...

Morning Jimmy ..Middy, et al

No, not shutting studio down, but we are ticking off a lot of professionals in the music biz.

In the old days, there was a comfortable monopoly because the technology cost millions of dollars to build a studio. It was a business for only the royalty of music. Now a studio can be created on a cell phone.

I'm told that professional music artists "don't follow their dreams," but are above that and only want professional engineers and a REAL studio in Nashville.

And I'm not supposed to tell people that "music is healing," the pros say.

And I understand why no one in music will stick up for me. Dell Mack said that unless you have an angel or sleep your way up, you'll never make it. Too late.

Well, I can always make outdoor films. Leave the music to the professionals.

You and Middy should go buy a car in Nebraska, Jimmy.

Pevie, (my dream is to make music in an old Missouri dog-house), Hicks said...

I for one am SHOCKED to hear that professional musicians aren't anxious to make their recordings in a converted storage shed with a red-neck who has taken a couple of on-line editing courses at the control panel????

Why did Pevie hyphenate "red-neck," "dog-house" and "on-line"?

Coffee with cream, grits, five eggs over easy (hold the hyphenations) and a pound of bacon, loaf of toasted bread and one pad of butter. I gotta watch my health.

BTW, the studio was designed by professional musicians, Pevie.

What's really funny, Pevie? Even when you insult me, you are actually inspiring me. You always have!

So what's Middy up to?

Unknown said...

Change of tactics, Jimmy.

Pevie Hicks, whatever I've done to you, get over it. If you're a woman, come and visit and I'm pretty sure we can figure things out.

I think Pevie is a frustrated woman who just wants to be loved.

Unknown said...

Well, company here. They told me that CM and SN are on the radio in some kind of live interview. She's never gonna do it. Don't screw with reoccurring dreams. Better have good Karma to beat a dream like that.

Personally, I built the studio to have fun. If I make money, that's cool too. People told me that professionals only in a studio, so I built my own with a Green Screen so now anyone can use it.

And lots of folks drop by to experience the feeling too. The pros get all snobby with me. Don't care.

Unknown said...

I play the bass, Jimmy. I could go into a lengthy explanation of physical limitations on the electric guitar and singing as speech therapy, but I'd offend delicate eyes reading this.

It's nice that WMG is considering Dell Mack's songs. I really wish they'd send a rep from Nashville to see him. Build him a new home with a state-of-the-art studio. It would be a great story that would really touch a lot of hearts. He wants a log cabin.

But what happened to me wasn't right either. I'm still blacklisted. My presence offends the music business and the artists. I'm a reminder of their mistakes.

Jen just noticed that in the dialogue, a woman's hair color changed. She's a big SN fan.

Middy,

Find that Scottsdale blue hair. Chances are you'll outlive her then you get all the benefits of living in Scottsdale without her.

It's REALLY nice over here: no boom boxes, cars are all air conditioned with no gangsta shit hanging from the rear view mirrors, and it never gets over 75 degrees and sunny regardless of what is happening outside its boundaries.

Charro was one of Xavier Cugat's many gorgeous wives. The last I saw of her she was doing TV ads for Earl Scheib. Plays a mean guitar too!

Well Middy, you should marry yourself an old woman with property. I marry for love, not money.

Go Middy. Follow your wallet. It's the wise thing do.

So how's Maui, Jimmy? Same sun. Same air. Same people. Same failed society. Just different geography.

midnightsstaff said...

From what I know Charro is a pretty intelligent and decent type of human being, besides being an accomplished flamingo and classic guitar master she is fairly down to earth.
Hedy Lamarr was an actual mensa level smart gal who invented a torpedo guidance system for the government.
Bridget Bardot is another one that was more than another pretty face.
..although her eyes was the inspiration for the term sex kitten" there is some thought behind those catlike eyes of hers.
..none of the above would step foot in Scottsdale and don the blue light special.

Speaking of white flags and frenchmen, did you know one of those ghost cities in China is an exact replica of the streets of Paris complete with an Eiffel tower.

Oh so true, Rick. Once again I quote the great Henry Travers and Jimmy Stewart from "It's a Wonderful Life."

Travers: "Money? We have no use for money in heaven."

Stewart: "Well, it sure comes in handy down here, bub!"

Barb mas been to Maui with her girlfriends back in 1983. She loved it and I'm sure it's nice but I hate long plane rides and besides, since 1987 I have had Arizona which isn't too bad itself.

Jim McAllister said...

Middy,

You're right about Charro; sharp lady and very funny with her routine.

I have said for a long time that the two best looking babes on screen to me have been Hedy Lamarr and Gene Tierney.

Those two were presidents of babedom in their day and they lived in about the same era. Tierney (1920-1991) and Hedy (1913-2000).

I remember Hedy getting caught shoplifting later in life, sad.

For another real 40'S babe (but less well known) try Ella Raines (1920-1988). Great era!

If I may speak bluntly, these kind of creeps need to be locked away where their sick fantasy's won't get people harmed or worse.

They revel in their sickness, but those of us who are really impacted, just PUKE!

Sorry J/M (Jim McAllister), I'm not sure who Carney reminds me of?, Mr. Peepers, or Batman's sidekick, The Boy Wonder. Love watching him squirm on those rare occasions when someone in the press corp. actually asks a real question.

My list was meant to be outrageously absurd, as was the ridiculous, (oft repeated), threat by rick that he's planning to file "federal charges" on someone for using the screen name Stephanie Lynn, my guess is there are millions upon millions of people named Stephanie, maybe rick's planning a class action suit?

To which I say bravo!, anything that could associate the likes of him with the word class is probably a good thing, and certainly something he couldn't do through his own actions. If he'd had a rational thought, he certainly wouldn't make a threat like that while simultaneously trying to extort $10K.

I suppose the "suck wind" comment is just a "gifted" writer showing his (extremely limited)wares? Still, I find it one of his more intelligent comments.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of making a short film of a family in Scottsdale.

Scene 1
New neighbor is invited in and asked to sit down in a chair covered in plastic. Guests only chair. In the kitchen, is a bottle marked, "POISON: Guests ONLY!" and of course, this is seen as normal by everyone.

Scene 2
Neighbors helping neighbors to bury some homeless people in a vacant lot. Scottsdale cop walks up, it appears they are busted. He tosses in the guy's shoe in the shallow grave and tells character that they have another victim ready.

Scene 3
Government brings in a semi load of heroin, cocaine, marijuana. Drops it off in a warehouse to be distributed by trucks from Scottsdale. It's run by space aliens!

Scene 4
Pevie carries his head in the crook of his arm before someone shouts, "Put your head on, stupid!" He glues it on his butt. He's not the brightest space alien.

It gets old but you get used to it but frankly this is blog is starting to remind me of a day at work.

.."The days of focusing on security alone are gone for prisons, says Bruce Gage, chief of psychiatry to the Washington Department of Corrections.

"We're finding sicker and sicker people all the time" who have to be treated for their mental illnesses.
Prisons "can't say no to the mentally ill, they have to solve the problem."

I still believe Obama is going to get us in a war in Syria Jim, he tried the bull rush but got his ass handed to him by everyone, but he is sulking and blaming others- he is truly an amateur.

He's Putin's bitch now- everyone is laughing in his face and personality disorders like his simply cannot tolerate that so it must be eating him up.. his handlers will take charge and get the American people demanding war.
Too much is at stake and they spent quite a bit of money and time getting him in place for the Saudi's to let this one get away.
At least that's the way I imagine Putin sees the situation, and I doubt he will tolerate a fool like Obama- remember he doesn't particularly like queers in the first place.

Middy,

I can't disagree with your 10:30 comment.

The Syria thing really brought this guy to light. That pathetic statement he made on TV for 15 minutes even had the Dems shaking their heads. Plus, I don't think we have heard the last of Benghazi. It's Obama's Watergate.

The Obamacare thing is going to blow up too. I love that it has taken on his name instead of the ACA. It ties him even tighter to that boondoggle. The dumb ass must not have realized that the big companies didn't get to be big because they listened to dipshits like him. October first should be fun. Word is coming in already about the increased cost of their new healthcare coverage.

PROUD said...

Good morning Jim....Obviously, when it comes to Rick.... some things NEVER change!... (heavy sigh!)

I agree with you, when Obama stepped on the world stage to show leadership on Syria...it was easy to see just how small, insignificant and totally inept he and his ideology driven administration truly are....

In a word....PATHETIC!

His obvious short comings are well hidden by two main factors...

1. An apathetic public who "asks what their country can do for them", and who forms most of their political beliefs watching Letterman, Leno, SNL, and the like....

2. An adoring main stream media who selectively omit or massage world events to cast their "hero" in the best possible light...

Without a swift and dramatic changes to those two insurmountable forces, I don't see Obama and his agenda being derailed or crashing down during his term, to the contrary, I think from here on he will be canonized....

History will no doubt be revised over and over to promote and protect this "historic" President's legacy into a warm and fuzzy story of doing good for the little guy.

Of course...it's all bunk....but man... it will make for one touchy feely, classroom read!

The same with the phones. Everyone has to have them even though for 99% nonsensical purposes. Now, they are running ads to get them in colors to match your outfits.

I wonder when the last time these idiot people of today read a book or even heard of anything other than the latest party.

Agree, now that modern society no longer requires personal responsibility, younger generations never bother to consider the consequences of their actions...And why should they? no matter how stupid, how egregious, how irresponsible the act...someone,(in most cases, government)has a handy dandy, perfect fit, excuse at the ready....

Just like smart phones, computers and calculators have negated the need to learn or know math....

A liberal society constantly excusing inexcusable behavior has negated any need for personal responsibility.....

The think before you act, (aka common sense muscle) has atrophied from complete lack of use...

The scariest part is, those college educated kids on Leno's "Jay Walking" that haven't a clue what's going on in the world aren't born stupid,... They've been highly educated to be that way !

Middy, I'm not worried about someone kicking the cane out from under me.

With Obama making friends with Iran, that should open up new markets. Wall Street will be happy.

I got lots of apples. Blackberries in the freezer. Bow season for deer is open. Rifle season starts soon. And Lana and Jen both hunt and are both Second Amendment friendly.

Iranians are predicted to disarm Americans. That'll be the day.

At one time I had hope that if a decent person could just get elected the masses would realize what success creates.

But I have absolutely no hope whatsoever any longer, as long as the FreeshitArmy is living off others with no more effort than casting a vote, then the Republic is finished.
No.. stupid cannot be fixed, we have allowed them to grow a permanent mind numbed breeding pool of lockstep Democrat voters who have no concept nor interest in anything other than what they can hustle.

Ours is the last generation that has tasted what freedom and personal liberty is like, the current gen X er and before have never known anything other than a lesser degree of socialism.
I just wish there was some freedom loving place left to live an honest life, but this world is under the dominion of an entity that has always warred with what is right, it's just coming to a head.

Middy, I must admit that I have been in denial of these events, thinking that it must surely be some intelligence plan to trick the enemy.

I mean, the government knows better. Right?

I'm sure you've seen this, but in Michigan cops arrested a man for carrying a shotgun on his own property. He caught a trespasser, called the cops and the cops arrested the landowner and presumably the trespasser.

Well, there appears to be a clear in distinct plan for the government to CONTROL the people at any cost.

No wonder they put me on morphine and made me all delusional. But you see, it greases the mind and their plan backfired.

I hate this, Middy. What this means is that civil war is coming.

One thing is certain; whatever the government is planning, they will probably initiate before November 2014. Suspend Congress.

Unknown said...

Oh I'm just joking about any nasty government plans.

Pax Obama.

Jimmy, I kill the conversation everywhere. Even in person.

midnightsstaff said...

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that when you come up with some little gem like ...
"Just imagine that it's me. It'll make it easier for you. CJ, you hate my guts and you know that you want to kill me. So you should do it. You're a woman. You can get away with it. Jimmy can give you the evidence. Middy can back it up."..

it somehow throws a wet blanket on the polite conversation at the daily Scottsdale Tea and Cucumber sandwich social for gentile folks and others.
It probably would be a conversation stopper at the Richmond Grub and Gun meeting at Ethyl's coffee shop as well, you have a history Rick that precedes your grand entry.
..just quit with the puppy dog whining, it's embarrassing.

WHO'S THIS CRAZY RICK DUDE ON THIS BLOG

Jim McAllister said...

Hi Lindsay,

I'm not sure who he is. I'm going to call Mick tomorrow and see if he knows.

Did you get those new guitar picks I sent over? I think you'll like them.

midnightsstaff said...

Anyone in with me on buying Eminem's childhood home in Detroit for Paula? it's for sale for a buck.. I got a quarter and two nickles.. any game?

Also noticed they are bribing the Jag fans with beer to go to the games.. slick marketing eh?
..season tickets come with a hooker.
where the hell is Jacksonville anyway- Mississippi?? Alabama?? Mexico??

Did you KNOW that Lindsey Buckingham also goes by the name, L. Buckingham?

Who violated what law?
You are the only one making terrorist threats towards other people Rick- and the NSA has all your eruptions recorded..
.." I'll make CJ kill someone. You just watch. She'll do it. Won't you CJ? You know you want to see what killing someone feels like. You've always wanted to know that feeling of power. You're craving it and you know it. Stinking men, huh?"

Yeah Rick those are your words, so save us the horseshit threats from your retained law firm of Dewey Chetum and Howe and start thinking about what you are going to do to get the authorities off your ass boy.

Because they already have everything you have written, and you keep adding to the charges daily.
..eventually you will step on the wrong toes and they have all the evidence they will ever need to get you locked up for your own safety..

.." Rick Kepple said...
I wallpapered my home with Stevie Nicks' posters. My roommates are furious. I made Dale wear a blonde wig.
She's coming out with that ancient album, Buckingham/Nicks.
She actually picked on me for my Aspergers. It was fun for her. Just like Pevie enjoys it now.
Pevie, Stevie, Middy, Bill, whatever"..
..sound familiar Ricky?

PROUD said...

I was planning to stay out of crazy Ricks pathetic life, but here he is, squirting CRAZY all over the place...and it ain't even 6AM....

Rick, someone posted this tidbit about you above,..It's well worth another look, especially today:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/rec.music.artists.stevie-nicks/YIvK7jJHBZU/YgAqc1d5yD4J

Notice the date Rick?....that's right 9/28/09. FOUR FRICKEN YEARS AGO TO THE EXACT DAY...YOU WERE SPOUTING THE EXACT SAME CRAZY CRAP THAT YOU'RE SPOUTING NOW....

You were delusional and completely full of imaginary legal investigations crap then, just like you are now.
Not only haven't you gotten one iota better,... you seem hopelessly stuck on stupid, playing the same game of stalk and threaten but with a different cast of victims,(us),for you to hallucinate in front of.

Obviously you have no pride in yourself, if you did you would never continue to make such a complete fool of yourself... You must not have one single friend who cares about you, otherwise THEY would be telling you to quit doing what you are,(and have been for years), doing, because, looking back...any sane person can see... IT SURE AS HELL AIN'T WORKIN!

Well, maybe it is working?...That is if you are a delusional, lonely, deranged person with a strong compulsion to continually self punish by forcing yourself into situations where you are not wanted and then subjecting yourself to the insults that ensue...(BINGO)

Even some like you must see, No one believes you have rock star friends...No one believes you are successful, hell I doubt if anyone even believes you picked a real apple....

I said this many times,(all the way back to 2008 when you were known as: "just lost my wife, poor old disabled vet, government hooked me on drugs, used to date Stevie, born again writer"...This advice was much needed then, and by the looks of where your life has gone in the last 4 or 5 years, it is more DESPERATELY needed now! Please read, think....repeat:

GET YOURSELF SOME HELP YOU RIDICULOUS FRUITCAKE!

But I like talking to you guys".

"Good one, Middy," said Jim McAllister.

Just commenting for you, Jimmy. You're old. That keyboard must be getting heavy.

PROUD said...

Middy the lines are blurred between the three pop quiz choices. Need more clarification to be able to differentiate...

midnightsstaff said...

Slander...the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

Jim is not an elected or public figure. so you are now guilty of libel.
Accusing him of engaging in the consumption of an illicit substance is called slander Rick- doing it in written form is called libel.

.."A Texas couple was awarded a whopping $13 million by a jury in what could be a landmark case for regulating anonymous Internet commenters"

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/anonymous-commenters-slammed-13-million-slander-ruling-article-1.1066731#ixzz2gCujOQfX

I guess it's up to Jim if he wants to make your life a living hell or not.. he now owns you Rick- I suggest an apology.

Unknown said...

It's just curious that you guys allegedly make money from "investments" that President Obama is helping to create, while you people claim to hate that same government.

Now why would I believe that any of you are on cocaine?

And yet, Middy says how he just knows Obama will take all that he has, while he's trying to milk the same system that he can't stand.

You guys act like rock stars without a care, but the demoralization of America needs celebrity misbehavior. So carry on. Obama needs you.

Unknown said...

Jimmy, I demand an apology.

Don't forget about the liberal courts and they won't like your slander against Obama.

You seem to think this is 1983. It's not.

I am leaving this blog under protest that rich people should not rule over others.

It is in fact, Jimmy's blog and although I do not approve of the content, that is McAllister's problem.

midnightsstaff said...

International Rules of Law:
Section 2498.3
sec. b subsection III..
.."No Rich Person shall rule over any non rich person unless the both parties agree to the contract.
All contracts shall be binding either by mutual agreement or unilaterally at the express whim of the Rich party".

a clarification can be found under..
Section 2498.4 sec. l line 25 which states "any agreement can be modified at any time with the express wishes of the Ruling eg. ( Rich) party..
..no appeal or special waivers can be submitted nor offered.

..better run this by your legal counsel..

I just found out it's Saturday.. I guess precisely knowing the current day of the week just doesn't take on the importance it once did.

Jim, the whole thing started to go to hell the day they shoved Ted Baxter out and let females anchor the nightly news..

Ted ad libbing ..

God bless Ted Knight wherever he is. We never missed MTM in those days after all, "Who could turn the world on with her smile?"

midnightsstaff said...

Yeah the little lefty had a great set of choppers.
The whole bunch are screaming libs but used to be funny, not so much anymore.
They are pretty much in everyone's face now, the guy that really drove me nuts was Ted Danson.
What a pant load he is.. Harrelson is no better.
Seems like every part of life was a whole lot simpler and worthwhile.. yep, something has changed.

midnightsstaff said...

.."Voters in the Buckeye Union High School and Liberty Elementary school districts will be asked to help finance school maintenance and construction during the Tuesday, Nov. 5, bond elections".

It's not just Scottsdale passing the hat, every school district in the state drags out the same old dog and pony show each year.

.."Voters passed a budget override in 2012 after rejecting it a year earlier. The override largely helped pay for teachers’ salaries, said Charlene Powers, president of a political-action committee supporting the bond".

..and isn't that what all school bond issues end up being?- another shake down for teachers salaries- if you pass one they just come back the next year with the same complaints.

It's real hard for me to drum up any sympathy for a public school teacher anymore, they are just government whores like the rest.

Jim McAllister said...

Middy,

The funny thing about phonies like Danson and Harrelson is that they bitch about the rich and big corporations yet they are also rich and selfish and are happy to take plenty of dough from their large studio bosses; the ones they constantly chastise.

They are no better than the ones they criticize; just a lot phonier especially when it comes to taking large deductions on their income taxes, i.e. Bon Jovi and one of the worst of all, Springsteen.

Jim McAllister said...

Yeah, Scottsdale's bond election should be pretty lopsided in defeat too.

They want to raise property taxes for 25 years to pay off $212 million for a bunch of stuff including schools. One of the problems for them is that the dough can be shifted around from one item to the other at the whim of the city council. That will not fly.

Already the street sides are clogged with "Vote No" signs. There are some "Vote Yes" signs too but they are wasting their time. Still too many retired people here that will vote "NO".

My property tax went up $116 this year as I am sure everyone had a similar % raise. They are not going to vote to raise it more.

The mess that is the downtown entertainment district will kill the thing by itself. A lot of older people down there who are roaring angry about the noise and crime coming from there.

Jim McAllister said...

PROUD,

Wow! They fired Kiffin! That's funny, I don't think I've ever seen a coach canned after the first couple games. That was quite a trouncing from ASU; Pat Haden has a lot of pride from his days at SC and decided it was the best thing to do. He is probably right. I think Kiffen has had problems in the past too.
