ANOTHER LESSON LEARNED THE HARD WAY

The following story illustrates the importance of gun ownership and the need to have your weapon ready if the situation warrants it.  It’s too bad that being armed has become a necessity but that is the lifestyle we now face in the United States of America.

The headlines in the “Valley and State” section of the Arizona Republic shouted yesterday (January 14) that “17 YEAR OLD FATALLY SHOT IN FIGHT”.

The story goes as follows:  The 17 year old was shot to death at about 11:15 p. m. Saturday outside an apartment complex at 17th Street and Indian School Road.

Responding officers found that the 17 year olds’ two 18 year old brothers were throwing large river rocks into an apartment occupied by a 19 year old guy, his girlfriend, and child.  One of the rocks had hit the 19 year old requiring medical attention.

Investigators determined that the 17 year old and his two brothers had been drinking and gotten into an argument with the 19 year old.  The 19 year old walked away and went into his apartment and shut the door. At that time the 17 year old went into his apartment and retrieved two knives.

When he returned with the knives, he and his brothers tried to force their way into the 19 year olds’ apartment while hollering threats.

The 19 year old repeatedly told them to leave and that he had a gun.  Fearing for his life and the lives of his girlfriend and baby, he shot the 17 year old dead.  The brothers retreated and began throwing the river rocks through the apartment window.

When push comes
to shove........
When the police arrived, they arrested the two brothers.  The 19 year old guy was released on a self defense claim.

I wonder how many times a day this situation is re-enacted in the United States.  I wonder how many times the person being attacked doesn’t have a gun and winds up on the unfortunate end of the stick.

In this case, the guy had a gun and protected his family while the bad guy suffered death.  It seems only appropriate that it should be that way yet there are those who think all our guns should be taken away.

I never thought that I would have to carry a gun with me but I now go nowhere without it.  I like the above story in the sense that three guys were breaking into an apartment with a guy, his girl, and their baby and they were thwarted by firepower.

Maybe a few crooks will hear about it and think twice before attacking someone.

But the vice president says if we save only one life through confiscating guns from good citizens it will be worth it.

now I'm confused- is the vice president not telling the truth or something?

Jim, it's a sad fact but in today's country carrying a gun is a necessity. I've had a CCW for 15 years and never leave home without my gun. It's like a piece of clothing.

Jimmy Mac....Guns are not the problem; it's the unstable individual holding the gun that presents the problem....probably not fixable on a universal basis.

I got a true story for you and your readers. My golf group finished our round recently and were sitting in the grill having a beer when the conversation turned to guns...we had two foursomes on that particular day, and the question came up...

"How many of the 8 players had a gun in their auto in the parking lot?"

....surprised me....6 out of 8 had their guns loaded in auto...I was one of the two without a gun, and all of a sudden, I felt pretty insecure.

...but I did shoot the low golf score that day...Big Deal...

Here we go again. Republicans taking a partisan, principled stand against any gun control,

A HUGE mistake in my view....

A skilled politician with his own bully pulpit, Obama will use this to paint them as out of touch with America, radical, owned by special interest, right wing, loons....

In other words, pretty much exactly what he did to them on their partisan, principled stand against raising any taxes...

If anyone cares to recall, there were Democrats a year earlier wanting to cut a deal by raising the tax threshold to $500K, or a few looking to raise it to $1M...But those good old principled Republicans stood their ground, and got slaughtered politically....

And if they stay the course, De Ja Vue, all over again

Now come on... surely there have to be a few middle ground changes that everyone could agree to without changing things all that much? For example, back ground checks at gun shows. Why not show you care by working together (something every survey shows the public yearns for)

Taking a stand against ANY changes is ridiculous, changes will be made, sure most of them will be meaningless, feel good measures, but the public wants to feel good, and they want to see their politicians do something to show they care.even if they don't.

Today, more than ever, perception is reality....this hard line taken by Republicans will lead to yet another gigantic defeat, they will hand Obama another hero cape, and accomplish nothing other than to further paint Republicans as "the problem" .....

Wise up, this shit is called politics for a reason....

“They will be joined by children around the country expressing their concerns about gun violence and school safety, along with their parents,” Carney confirmed.

The press conference will take place Wednesday at 11:45 a.m."

Those mean old Republicans...they love the NRA and HATE little children! (that's the way Obama is framing the entire gun debate, and Repubs again seem willing to simply be props, useful idiots....

It's actually a miracle that the so-called justice system didn't arrest the 19-year-old! How many cases do we hear about where the pepetrator sues the victim and actually get away with it? About time there was some justice. Now, how long before a scumsukking bottom-feeder (AKA lawyer) files a suit against the victim on behalf of the dead guy's family?

.."What the common man longs for in this world, before and above all his other longings, is the simplest and most ignominious sort of peace: the peace of a trusty in a well-managed penitentiary.

He is willing to sacrifice everything else to it. He puts it above his dignity and he puts it above his pride.
Above all, he puts it above his liberty. The fact, perhaps, explains his veneration for policemen, in all the forms they take–his belief that there is a mysterious sanctity in law, however absurd it may be in fact." HL Mencken.

The first four years of tyranny were nearly without loss to the average muppet, they could go along with the program because they were not suffering any loss because of it and they were convinced it was some amorphic Bush based reason for the conditions for the situation.. it was sold as the other guy- like those demonic rich- who were finally going to be forced to pay for their sins against the common man.

Stealing from the bondholders at Chrysler and GM and giving that private property to the unions four years ago was as much a symbolic victory to the muppets as nationalizing industry was in the 1930's Europe-
no public outcry there!

But with the new tone and broken promises to follow I think we are going to see a lot more people finally waking up to the end game.

Bottom line is, it's a lot easier to gain support for the theft of other's property than it is to suggest the same action directed toward their own possessions.

Frankly, I'm tired of seeing the SOB get his way on everything and with the number of gun owners he may have to back down. He is the one who will never give an inch; not the Republicans.

Anyone of normal intelligence has to see through that ploy of announcing gun laws with the kids surrounding him. That's a sorry ass sympathy show that is as phony as he is.

Look at the debt ceiling thing going on now. He said nothing is negotiable; it has to be his way 100% or he will tell the country it's all the Republicans' fault.

How about that statement from Texas about arresting any Feds who come by trying to enforce new gun laws:

http://radio.woai.com/cc-common/mainheadlines3.html?feed=119078&article=10700507

I say Texas should go for it and they aren't the only state. Someone has to stand up to this guy; he acts like some kind of king. He needs his ears pinned back for a change.

It's not going to help him to have a bunch of states pissed at him and there are plenty that are.

Jim McAllister said...

Glo,

Yeah, that kind of surprised me too but so far the shooter has not been arrested.

The cops called it self defense right at the scene according to the story. A bit surprising that they wouldn't have a more thorough investigation. Maybe there are several witnesses.

The 19 year old guy was going to be in deep trouble with those three guys if he didn't have the gun plus the girl and the baby were in peril.

It sounds like an area of town where Mensa members are scarce.

Jim McAllister said...

Middy,

But with the new tone and broken promises to follow I think we are going to see a lot more people finally waking up to the end game.

The guy has become so arrogant that even some members of the freeshit army may rebel on him plus the NRA carries its share of clout.

I love the Texas declaration of arresting any Feds who show up trying to implement new regulations on guns.

It shows some solidarity which may spread especially in the South.

He is becoming more arrogant every day which tells me he may be coming apart a bit.

Jim, I completely agree that Obama is an arrogant ass, but he's a skilled politician and is clobbering Republicans on every issue. He sets these traps and predictable reps rush in....

They hate his arrogance so much they forget to play the game, they dig in their heels and take an absolute, unyielding stand on principal.Unfortunately, their principled stand will easily portrayed by Obama as obstructionist, mean, selfish, and totally beholding to the NRA.

It's a fight Republicans can't win, so why the hell pick it?

With a nation in shock and a back drop of little children who wrote letters from their trauma, Obama's proposals are not going to be seen by most people as a President trying to take people's guns away....He will be seen as a man who cares and is at least trying to do something about a problem.

Republicans on the other hand will be the bad guys who refuse to even consider "common sense" gun laws.

I say instead of just saying HELL NO!,Reps should have come up with their own list of changes, loopholes in existing laws that could / should be changed, thereby looking reasonable, and doing what people say they want government to do, work together for the good of the nation. We all know Obama is using a tragedy for political gain, but he will come off looking reasonable, and republicans, like a special interest tool.

It's too late perception is reality. Reps have been cast the bad guy, riding around on black NRA horses, while Obama will ride in on his white horse and show the world that he's not going to allow kids to be shot while a do-nothing congress plays politics...

We have so much wishful thinking against this tyrant that sometimes we read things incorrectly hoping they will come true.

Jim McAllister said...

Proud,

You make good points but sometimes I think I see the veneer cracking on this guy.

It's hard to believe that most people are so dumb that they won't be able to see the con job being handed them with the little kids on the podium. It's like a bad "B" movie.

What about the gun owners who are union guys? They have supported him for president but now he is screwing with their guns; the things they love to go hunting with. It seems like his support would weaken there.

This guy is also the most arrogant and controversial president we have had. I think a lot of people are getting weary of him.

He is doing executive orders as though he is some kind of royalty. That has to have some negative effect eventually. In fact, he is already taking some heat on that subject.

What is boils down to is that the killings will continue because if some guy wants to get a gun and start spraying bullets in a crowed room, he will still be able to do it because there are still going to be lots of guns and ways to get them.

It reminds of what a salesman told me in a London clothing store in 1986. I told him it was nice to be able to find a certain suit there because they were hard to get in the States. His reply was "Sir, you can get ANYTHING in London."

We shall see.

My two cents?...MUCH ADOO ABOUT NOTHING?

As previously stated, I wish the right had waited until Obama's list was released before taking such a vocal stand against it...

Here is the list, no one is taking guns from anyone.

Now that the show is over,I firmly believe most Americans will see the measures as sensible and Obama as someone who is trying. Republicans will be viewed as obstructionists, bought and paid for by the NRA

Certainly there are items on this list republicans can support?...Why the hell didn't they wait to see what was proposed so they could have looked like they were part of a solution. Even if it's no real solution, they just handed Obama another BIG win....

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
11. Nominate an ATF director.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

It's just another meaningless list of programs to enlarge the footprint and grow government.. every one of those specious demands have nothing to do with a solution.

No he has crossed the Rubicon on this issue and there is no walking it back now.. think I am wrong?, check out the NRA membership and long lines of people buying firearms solely because they instinctively know what a monstrous tyrant he is.

No one is looking at the Republicans like Christie for help any longer- by Summer the lines will be fully drawn.

Just tell me which of these proposals will actually prevent insane, drug addled people from killing victims?
The answer is none of them, because they are proposed as a top down attempt to control things that are uncontrollable at any level even if that was his goal.

People get killed in prisons all the time where there is ultimate control and forcing the medical community to act as gestapo informants is not going to work.

The discussion is not over kids getting killed it's about the government setting the table for a final solution- including genocide.

Just like when they came for the guns in Rhodesia- google it because it's all there in plain sight to see.
African dictators are not the same as socialists in Denmark.

PROUD said...

Jim...of course this list of government do's won't change a thing on gun violence...laws are something criminals and insane people do not obey.
Like almost every federal undertaking, this is little more than another feel-good measure designed to make people feel like their politicians are doing what they sent them to do, trying tho do right after a terrible wrong like Sandy Hook...

And that's my point, Obama is winning big in the public feel good department not so much by what he's actually doing...but the way he's doing it...And public perception and sentiment wins elections...

It seems to me it would have been far more productive for Republicans to have been a on the stage, kids and all, as a part of the meaningless dog and pony show,... shaking hands, kissing babies, as co-authors, after all the list is fairly benign and there are issues they could have agreed on, so why not agree, and take some of the credit with the public?

What in the world did they gain by screaming, jumping up and down, promising to disobey the orders, especially on orders they didn't even know? many of which they would agree with??? All they accomplished was adding another coat or two of "party of no" paint, with the same brush that Obama has been using for four years....

They keep getting painted like this, it may never wash off. Time to start playing Obama's game....The game's called politics...

Gold was an objective value, an equivalent of wealth produced.

Hi Jim,

This foolishness is a load of Ultra Liberal crap. There is no such thing as Gun Control!

I am not al that great with tools, but even I can with simple instruction convert just about any automatic to accept expanded capacity ammunition clip: the necessary technology can be found on the web.

What we desperately need is an accurate well reported data base of those most likely to commit mass atrocities. But the Liberal psychiatric Community is loath to produce such because of - patient privacy.

Instead, they want to disarm everyone.

Like the criminal or insane cannot find such weapons elsewhere.

Remember Prohibition? They thought they could stop people from finding booze.

Will these Liberal bastards ever learn? I think not!

We have a idiot cartoonist here who portrays Obama every day as some sort of savior or god. He doesn't see that the guy is the king of the photo-ops.

.."Clownifornia teens could submit paperwork to get on the state's voter rolls three years before they are allowed to cast a ballot under legislation introduced in the state Senate this week.

Senate Bill 113, by Democratic Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, would allow Californians to "pre-register" to vote at age 15, giving the state the nation's youngest minimum age for submitting an affidavit of registration.

While the pre-registrants would not be able to vote until they turned 18, the Santa Barbara Democrat said she hopes the change would increase the state's active voter population by linking the "positive experience" of getting a learner's permit at the Department of Motor Vehicles with registering to vote. Teens could also use the state's new online registration system under the measure, which is sponsored by Secretary of State Debra Bowen.

"I see this as an opportunity to encourage teens to make sure they register to vote when they go out and register to get their learner's permit," Jackson said. "We really need to have people at all ages voting and voting in large numbers, and it also encourages more lifelong engaged voters so we end up with a vibrant and healthy democracy."

Jim, in keeping with the blog theme,(Lesson Learned?) I sure hope Republicans will learn from their mistakes on the upcoming debt ceiling talks.

Past Republican attempts to pressure and force Obama to agree to spending cuts and entitlement reforms or face a shut down have done nothing except make Reps look bad. Obama has used their willingness(well intentioned as they may be) to halt the government to portray Reps as reckless, tea-party owned, willing to shut down the country, put the economy at risk, all for some meaningless (because in the end, they always cave), political statement....

So successful has been the Rep. vilifying that people no longer see Obama's irresponsible spending, they simply see mean Republicans, playing that same ol game, trying to hurt Obama at any cost, crashing the markets, keeping soldiers from getting paid, and of course, the gold standard of scare tactics...preventing the elderly from getting their S/S checks. This scare stuff works!

I say take a new tack....simply give Obama what he wants, agree to raise the spending limit (because they know they will wind up doing so anyway, and Obama has and will call their bluff) while simultaneously, and repeatedly warning people that they are going along with what we believe to be an irresponsible act only because we do not want to harm the economy, and this is in fact what President Obama wants.

Then get to work and really use the one branch of congress they control, cranking out bill after serious bill proposing intelligent, responsible, solutions for the nations ills, debt, and entitlement reforms....

In other words, act like adults while Putting the burden and eventual blame on the Senate and President Obama.

IF, they choose the exact same path they have already traveled (and tripped badly on), I can think of one saying:

The definition of insanity is doing the....well, you know...

midnightsstaff said...

To be quite serious, that young man protecting his wife and child, did everything he could to avert conflict. Anonymous has obviously never been around dangerous drunken people. Things can go wrong, real damn fast! It sounds like he did the right thing, but those people retreated to throwing rocks again. That's what excessive alcohol does to the brain.

I've had people do that to me. When I was on the morphine, people threatened to burn my house down. They threw rocks at me. I finally challenged them. I wrote letters to get the self-defense laws changed so I didn't go to jail for protecting myself from garbage like that!

The kid did the right thing. Had he shot the others, especially in the back, he'd be in jail. The law is clear.

You are to use only the force necessary to stop the attack. No warning shots since that is a threat. No showing them the gun, since that is a threat. Just halt, start a dialogue if possible and if not, take appropriate action.

Had the three killed the man, raped the kid and killed the wife, it would have been headline news and President Obama would be calling for stronger gun laws.

The fact is, Jimmy, that if Big Brother were actually watching us, Sandy Hook would have never happened. Therefore, either they allowed it to happen or it's a psychological game and they're trying to use BS to disarm us. Either way, the government is not helping us.

Found on the net...

In Plain English

So Obama released his Executive Orders to Prevent Maniacs From Being Maniacs today. I’ve taken the time to translate the summaries into plain English below:

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
Tell the government to follow the law.

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
Tell the regulators to stop the stupid and useless regulations.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
Pay the states back for the unfunded mandates that the Feds keeps making.

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
Tell the Attorney General to do his job.

5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
Start another unfunded mandate. (See #3.)

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
Tell FDLs how to do something no one is ever going to bother to do.

7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
Do the same thing the NRA already does, only half as well at twice the cost.

8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
Do what Underwriters Laboratories already does, only half as well at twice the cost.

9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
Tell the Feds to do their jobs.

10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
Tell the DOJ to do its job.

11. Nominate an ATF director.
Tell myself to do my job.

12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
Spend more money.

13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
Tell everyone to do their goddamned jobs.

midnightsstaff said...

14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
Tell the doctors to figure out why it isn’t the feds’ fault that they aren’t doing their jobs.

15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
Figure out a way to push “smart guns” that don’t exist and wouldn’t be useful as guns if they did.

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
Tell everyone that Obamacare doesn’t actually mean what it says.

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
Tell everyone that, seriously, Obamacare doesn’t actually mean that. We had to pass it to find out what was in it, after all.

18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
Tell everyone that I’ve been a partisan hack for the last month every time I said the NRA was crazy to want to post more cops in schools.

19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
Do the same thing that every police agency in the country has already done, only half as well and at ten times the cost.

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
Tell doctors what they already know.

21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
Tell people what the parts of Obamacare don’t say anything.

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
Tell HHS to do their job.

23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.
Hand the rest of the job of telling everyone to do their jobs off to someone else so it is no longer my job.

I think this might work out better than I expected, Obama has no clue of the real America, they might be bunch of low information Homer and Marge Sixpacks but this is personal now and they are starting to put two and two together over his true objective, at least I have hope they do.

Wise counsel from one who never learned the difference between money and wealth.
Public schools have really done this nation a disservice the past few decades.

Wealth is a concept Rick, money is merely government created fiat script.

Honest wealth accumulation requires knowledge, there is just no quick way around it, the laws are specific and inflexible.
..and I might add those who have achieved a measure of it deserve to keep it and no man should ever be allowed to confiscate another's property without due legitimate and legal cause.

..it's been said that if all property was equally distributed within two generations the same people would hold the same amount they did.

But there is a greater wealth Rick, the wealth of idea, and that idea in our past has always been one of opportunity, now dreams are only thought possible through winning the lotto, hard work is the anathema of the government mindset- they punish achievement every chance they get.

Eventually the cancer of national sloth will finally erode the economy past the point of saving and it will come to some dismal end.

The ultimate result of shielding
men from the effects of folly is
to fill the world with fools.

I saw an Obamaphone once. A real one. Nick got it with like 10 minutes of time on it. It was a joke.

Most employers prefer doing three interviews these days for hiring as little as a janitor. It's insane to think that a cellphone with a few minutes on it will get anyone a job.

Years ago, when I was trying to get this job as a phone survey dude for Bayliner boats, the first interview was about an hour on the phone. Then there was the typing test and I write 100 words a minute on a bad day.

After I got the job, I was called into the office and the supervisors asked me straight up, "So, how long have you known ..." and they've got tape.

I worked for McDonalds once. The bottom of the barrel. So some 18-year-old girl asked me out. She was one of the supervisors at that phone survey company ...

so just imagine ... employers these days hiring teenagers as supervisors, because they don't need to know anything anyway! But that's the job market! If you're my age, you're "UNEMPLOYABLE" cause employers can get a kid to do any job. Two minutes of training ... Congratulations Mr. President!

Rick... if the clown couldn't get the economy going and in fact has made things much worse, what made anyone think four more years would be any improvement?

Are you sitting down?- this economy is going to get a whole lot worse before he is done with this term, you can't print eighty five billion dollars a month in future debt and expect the non existent velocity of that fiat money to have any impact- it's just going to bankers to buy back their bad paper.

For some odd reason even intelligent people I talk to can't make the grasp that this is a trillion dollars extra a year on top the spending he wants and who is going to have the debt at over 20 trillion by the end of his term.
a P.O.S. who says we don't have a spending problem.

Goldman Sachs is saying 150 oil by Summer, they don't predict, they make things happen- and that price of oil will bring things to a real slowdown.
Electricity is going up, food prices are going up, gas will go up- you are locked in the cargo of a plane that is going down just like the rest of us.

So I went to the site that Proud advertised. The Youtube without the period. And I'm sharing it. This is the SHARE address given for the same video from Youtube.

http://youtu.be/0fn4X0SMmVw

By the way, Proud's video ... "is currently unavailable."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fn4X0SMmVw

The video won't work without that dot. I reloaded it with the address the Share gave and it worked. I used the address that Proud gave and it didn't work.

So I asked a computer tech about it.

"Without the dot, the video won't work. It's part of the programming language!"

So pick your video. Maybe you can get both of them to work.

Thanks for watching my video, Jim, but there are three cats in that video, not one. However, one is the mother chasing the daughter and the son lives in the house. The others are feral cats.

But I'm delusional. It's probably just one cat. Jim's right. I'm wrong.

And that's the world, folks. Jimmy, so how's the song and dance coming along? Is this blog working for ya?

There is a story in the Springfield Mo. News Leader concerning some development that is going bankrupt and they are costing Greene County Missouri millions of dollars.

A bank loan officer told me yesterday that my property isn't selling because of red tape. As it turns out, there are only two lenders loaning money for that tiny little red tape. And there's red tape on top of red tape on top of red tape. I don't even qualify to buy my own farm!

And our business is run by a delusional writer who is, as it turns out, "autistic" and delusional. Mentally retarded. Army veteran. A computer tech, Navy, having had two heart attacks and stints. And a college kid music artist.

It's funny how the old geezers want to work and the kid wants to make college into a career choice.

We figured that if we made some videos, maybe someone in the entertainment industry might like what we do and we'd get jobs. Nope.

I'm blacklisted. Poison. But officially, it's from my disabilities, so paid to be unemployable. It's a living.

I (and I'm assuming Jim because he commented) am able to open the youtube.com link w/o problem. The fact that you can not open it suggest you MAY have a virus in your computer. I would suggest you go to

www.malwarebytes.com,

download the free version and do a complete scan. Their programs are excellent at detecting virus's that regular anti-virus programs like Norton miss.

As to your other insane ramblings:

1.no rock star had anything to do with tax increases on the rich....long before S/N tax rates. were 90%

2.your farm not selling has less to do with "red tape" and more to do with the farmstead not being "enchanted" enough

3. Making terrible, boring, meaningless videos, then dumping them onto a site with zillions of others where they are lost, isn't a good plan to getting jobs for three guys...

Ravens over Patriots in an upset. Yes, the Pats are powerful and rarely lose at home but Baltimore has been quietly playing some nice football lately; especially last week against Indy. Flacco has quietly become a nice QB which could make an unexpected difference. Plus, Ray Lewis REALLY wants this one!

Proud, the phone company is coming today to work on the DSL. My computer tech proved that the problem is outside of the house and not the copper lines. And we also talked about viruses.

First, you CAN'T get a virus from just WATCHING a video on Youtube. However, if I download it, that's when you get a virus.

Facebook is filled with viruses, BUT if you have simple virus protection, that will get rid of them.

The other day, I was having a wonderful conversation about the hz range of the earth and it's the same as the hz of the human brain! However, if there is running water, like a river, nearby (the Gasconade) it will dramatically increase the brain's wavelength, theoretically resulting in faster thoughts. It has to do with magnetic fields.

In addition, according to the GPS one repairman had, I live on the highest point in the county and I have the strongest satellite signal, but because of the proximity to underground rivers and the Gasconade River, the iron ore in the ridge mess with the magnetic ley lines and they claim it messes with electronics and appliances.

The world is dangerous enough, without people spreading nasty rumors of my videos being carriers of some nonexistent virus, because someone doesn't like Twitter.

President Obama is getting sworn in and there are millions of Americans swearing.

One media reporter on NBC said that Washington D.C. looks like a "police state" today. Prophetic words?

I sold that AR-15 two weeks before Sandy Hook happened. I bought an Epiphone SG. I can't fight a tank. It can't be done. I live near a military base and as a disabled vet, I believe that the prophecies in the Bible are actually strategic advice.

If you are on top of your roof when whatever it is happens, don't move. Think. Observe. Make a careful decision and don't get killed. This year is starting out way too good. Maybe it's going to be the perfect year, but there would be seven years of perfection, wouldn't there? Before all hell breaks loose.

I picked both winners yesterday. What else would you expect?

I looked at the SF-ATL game as a no brainer but Atlanta played well early and almost pulled it off.

Kaepernick still amazes me the way he has come off the bench to play the way he has. Having Crabtree and Gore doesn't hurt his chances either.

Who would have thought a guy from Nevada-Reno would walk into the NFL and own it like Kaepernick did?

I had a hunch on the NE-Baltimore game. The Ravens have been quietly getting better with no one really saying much about them. When they walloped Indy last week, I became a believer even though they had NE in NE.

Now Belichick has something to cry about under that damned hood!

Jim McAllister said...

Definitely a suck hockey game. We turned it off at 5-2.

It doesn't really matter to me as this season is a lost cause for the whole league.

As usual. they had a sellout but only because Chicago was here. From the cheering, one would think they were playing in Chicago.

If I was Jamison, I wouldn't buy that team unless I had a guarantee that Chicago, Detroit, Philly, etc. would stay in the league so they could have some attendance. Otherwise they are lucky if they draw 10,000.

Women often receive warnings about protecting themselves at the mall and in dark parking lots, etc. This is the first warning I have seen for men. I wanted to pass it on in case you haven't heard about it.

A 'heads up' for those men who may be regular customers at Lowe's, Home Depot, Costco, or even Wal-Mart. This one caught me totally by surprise. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.
Here's how the scam works; Two nice looking, college-age girls will come over to your car or truck as you are packing your purchases into your vehicle. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. (It's impossible not to look). When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' but instead ask for a ride to McDonald's.
You agree and they climb into the vehicle. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen Aug. 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, again on the 17th, 20th, 24th, and the 29th. Also Sept. 1st, 4th, 8th, twice on the 16th &17th, and very likely again this upcoming weekend.
So tell your friends to be careful. What a horrible way to take advantage of us older men. Warn your friends to be vigilant.
Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $2.99 each. I found even cheaper ones for $.99 at the Dollar Store and bought them out in three of their stores.
Also, you never get to eat at McDonald's. I've already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth from Lowe's, to Home Depot, to Wal-Mart.
So please, send this on to all the older men that you know and warn them to be on the lookout for this scam.

May God watch over us older men!

BTW (The best times are just before lunch and around 4:30 in the afternoon.)

Check out fat ass- elbows propped on the table in the classic "guarded feeding" position, shoveling it as fast as possible and going back for seconds... all this with a brand new horse tail hat.

You tell me Maxine Waters has anything on this bitch, she's the whole package when it comes to uncouth tribal behavior.

Hey didn't the punk himself say "never get between her and a taco" or something?

I present to you..the first hog.

maybe someone should send them a set of sheets- something tells me he needs them.

Hey guys get a load of the Utah Sheriffs memo to the pant load..

...pretty much standard "kiss my ass pal"- the kind of language he understands and only that type of spine does he respects.

Maybe Sheriff Joe will send him a box of flowers too.

Proud,

Damn! They got you 14 times; I thought I had the record at 10!

No fear though, I still have plenty of those 99 cent wallets. I bought a gross of them the last time I stopped by for my 99 cent reading glasses.

I'm down to a 32 inch waist and I still don't know what degree those girls are pursuing!

Middy,

Yeah, I saw that clip today on Drudge. What a disgusting hog she is especially with that stupid ass wig.

I'm really disappointed in this country that someone like her and that jug eared bastard are running the show.

There has to be a payday on this and i hope I get to see it soon.

When i think of Nancy Reagan, Laura and Barbara Bush, and others it makes me want to puke.

Jim McAllister said...

Steve,

Good name for her.

Middy,

Suddenly I love Utah.

It looks like they are joining the many more constituencies around the country telling jug ears to stuff it where the sun don't shine.

I think he has taken himself way too serious this time in f---ing with people who have guns. The line has to be drawn somewhere and this may be it.

Maybe JE will tell dumb ass Biden that he can REALLY be Obama for a while.

The Missouri sheriffs told him the same thing.. looks like a trend.

When I read..
"A new piece in the Wall Street Journal reports that many colleges are cutting back on the number of hours worked by adjunct professors, in order to avoid new requirements that they provide healthcare to anyone working over 30 hours per week. This is terrible news for a lot of people; 70 percent of professors work as adjuncts and many will now have to cope with a major pay cut just as requirements that they buy their own health insurance go into effect:"

I just brings a smile to my mug- looks like the chickens are settling in for a long night.

Once again from the "it's good to be king" files we observe the easiest way to deal with objective criticism is to ban it.

Good one with the wig photo. It looks better on Flip Wilson.

Just replaced my amp, man have they got the technology down pat.
Got another Yamaha.. I have never had a problem with one yet, I have had Sony, Kenwoods and a few others that give it up or are continual problems.. not with the big Yamaha's.

There is a program with a sensor to balance the surround and it also tells you if there is a problem with a reversed speaker polarity and if distances are not right.

What a great time of history to live in, too bad about the political crap but some things just have to play out I suppose.

.."Politics, under a democracy, reduces itself to a mere struggle for office by flatterers of the proletariat; even when a superior man prevails at that disgusting game he must prevail at the cost of his self-respect. Not many superior men make the attempt. The average great captain of the rabble, when he is not simply a weeper over irremediable wrongs, is a hypocrite so far gone that he is unconscious of his own hypocrisy—a slimy fellow, offensive to the nose." HL Mencken.

I am continually amazed at this man's brilliant insight to the heart of man.

At least we will finally find out the truth on what happened in Bengazi, The Hildabeast is testifying today..

Let the farce continue.
BTW.. if you really want the truth don't ask some lying politician their opinion, go to those who really know how things work.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-1rMoZ9LK7A

..I have talked to plenty of these folks in my years, they will lie about specifics for the most part, but on questions like these they are usually telling the truth.

..all in all the average crook is more truthful than the average politician, as Old Saddlebags will prove in her testimony today.
